The Xiaomi 15 has officially launched in China. It’s among the first Snapdragon 8 Elite phones, the new flagship SoC from Qualcomm. With it, it aims to deliver top-tier performance in a compact design.
Main Highlights of the Xiaomi 15
One of the standout features of the Xiaomi 15 is the triple-camera setup. At the heart of this system is the main camera. It’s a 50 MP OmniVision sensor with a large 1/1.31-inch format. Xiaomi paired it with a high-quality f/1.62 Summilux lens.
Complementing the main camera of Xiaomi 15 is a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle lens. It’s a Samsung JN1 sensor in a 1/2.76-inch format. With an f/2.2 aperture, this lens is ideal for capturing expansive landscapes or group shots without compromising detail.
The telephoto camera also steps up with a 50 MP Samsung JN5 sensor, a 1/2.76-inch format, and an f/2.0 aperture. It offers 2.6x optical zoom and a macro function, making it versatile for close-up shots and distant subjects alike.
On the front, the Xiaomi 15 has a 6.36-inch AMOLED display. It’s an LTPO panel, meaning the screen can dynamically adjust its refresh rate from as low as 1 Hz up to a fluid 120 Hz. The panel has a peak brightness rating of 3,200 nits, ensuring clear visibility even in direct sunlight. Moreover, there’s support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, bringing enhanced contrast and vibrant color for a cinematic viewing experience.
