  • PS5 Pro Teardown: It Fixes the Original PS5’s Biggest Flaw

Upon its announcement, the PlayStation 5 Pro was mocked harshly on the internet for its exorbitant $700 price and the minor improvements it brought over the original console. However, in a recent teardown, Sony has revealed that the PS5 Pro fixes a major issue that affected some PS5 owners.

Sony recently shared a blog post, giving fans a closer look at the insides of the PS5 Pro console. The company showcased how they have improved the liquid metal cooling design on the console, preventing it from overheating or the liquid cooling die from seeping out of the device if you use it vertically.

This hardware problem has been reported by many repair shop owners ever since the release of the PS5. They claim that the liquid metal can sometimes spill onto the APU of the system. This can lead to hardware problems later on as the metal oxidizes. It later turned out that it isn’t as widespread a problem as it was thought to be.

Shinya Tsuchida, PS5 Pro’s lead mechanical designer, mentioned in the blog post, ” We made some improvements by adding fine grooves where the liquid metal is applied, so that the cooling effect is more stable.” The breakdown further discussed how the console packs a bigger fan this time around. It features redesigned blades and features smaller blades in between for more effective cooling.

From what we have heard from around the internet, the console does run much cooler than its base release. And pushes more stable performance over long-term playthroughs. That said, we would love to hear your thoughts on the topic. Would you upgrade to the PS5 Pro just for better thermals, and which orientation do you keep your PS5 in? Let us know in the comments below.

  • POCO F7: The New Mid-Range Disruptor That’s Gunning for Flagship Killers

The wait is nearly over. POCO is gearing up to launch the F7 globally, hot on the heels of its Chinese counterpart, the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, which officially debuts on April 24, 2025. And if early reports are to be believed, we’re looking at a device that doesn’t just flirt with flagship territory — it full-on crashes the party. For years now, POCO has been walking a fine line between performance and price, especially with its F-series. And the F7? It looks ready to double down on that promise, offering hardware that’s impressive on paper and — if history is any guide — even more so in actual use.

Performance That Punches Above Its Weight

At the heart of the POCO F7 beats Qualcomm’s shiny new Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip — the same silicon driving the Turbo 4 Pro. This is no entry-level engine. We’re talking high-efficiency, flagship-grade architecture designed to deliver smooth gaming, lightning-fast app switching, and AI-driven features without the usual thermal issues or power drain.

Essentially, it brings flagship performance into mid-range pricing — and that’s a big deal for users who want speed without selling a kidney.

A Display That Doesn’t Cut Corners (Literally)

Visuals matter, and POCO knows it. The F7 boasts a 6.83-inch flat LTPS panel, pumping out a 1.5K resolution. The bezels? Practically non-existent — just 1.5mm on the sides and top, with a barely-there 1.9mm chin. That’s screen real estate you’ll actually use and enjoy.

For those keeping tabs: this puts it well ahead of many phones in its class, even brushing past some of the more expensive models from the competition in screen-to-body ratio and clarity.

Charging and Battery Life: Built for the Long Haul

Battery anxiety? Not here. While the exact capacity for the global model hasn’t been finalized, insiders suggest something close to 7,000mAh — just a notch under the Turbo 4 Pro’s massive 7,550mAh cell. Even better, the F7 supports 90W fast charging, ensuring that even a quick coffee break could add hours of usage. To put it plainly: this thing is built to last. Expect screen-on time that stretches across an entire day — and then some.

Camera Setup: Simple, Effective, and No Gimmicks

POCO isn’t chasing megapixel madness with the F7, and that’s refreshing. You’ll find a 50MP primary shooter backed by an 8MP ultra-wide. No useless depth sensors or fake macro lenses here — just the essentials done right. While it’s no DSLR replacement, the setup should offer crisp, punchy shots in daylight and respectable performance at night, especially with the image processing improvements expected with the Snapdragon chip.

Design That Feels More Premium Than the Price Tag Suggests

Let’s talk build quality, because this is where the F7 really begins to flex. Crafted from aviation-grade aluminum alloy, the chassis is both elegant and rugged. It’s CNC machined and sandblasted to offer a high-end texture, with durability benchmarks claiming 70kg of bending resistance — a spec usually reserved for much pricier models.

The rear panel gets a Soft Mist glass finish, adding not just to the aesthetic but to grip comfort as well. And if variety’s your thing, expect multiple colorways to hit different style notes. Another welcome addition? A short-throw optical fingerprint sensor built into the screen, paired with an interchangeable light strip — à la POCO X7 Pro — that lets users tweak the color and brightness. Because personal touches matter.

What to Expect from the Global Rollout

Now, the Chinese market gets first dibs on April 24, but the international release isn’t far behind. POCO tends to follow up quickly, and there’s every reason to believe the F7 will be available globally within weeks.

As for the differences between the Chinese and international variants? Minimal. We might see a slight downgrade in battery size, but the core specs — processor, display, camera, and design — are expected to remain intact. That means global users won’t be getting a watered-down version, just a more regionally-optimized one.

    Why This Matters

Here’s the thing: the smartphone market is saturated. Every week, there’s a new launch, a new “flagship killer,” a new promise. But POCO has a track record of delivering — and the F7 looks like it’s about to continue that streak.

By packaging top-tier performance, a gorgeous display, premium build, and massive battery life into a device that likely won’t cross the $500 mark, POCO is positioning the F7 as a serious contender. Whether you’re a gamer, a content junkie, or just someone who wants a phone that doesn’t suck, this one’s worth waiting for.

  • The Last of Us Season 2 Episode 2 Stirred My Memory of Glenn’s Brutal Death in The Walking Dead

I have always felt drawn to stories, including movies, TV shows, and games, set in a post-apocalyptic world infested with the undead. That’s why AMC’s The Walking Dead was one of the first TV shows I never missed when I was in high school. I caught up to the latest events by the time Season 6 started airing in my country, and teenage me wasn’t ready for the harrowing death of my beloved character in The Walking Dead franchise.

    Heavy Spoiler Warning:

This article contains massive spoilers about a main character’s death in The Last of Us Part 2 and The Walking Dead. Therefore, proceed with caution and we highly recommend you to experience both series first to avoid ruining your intended experience.

Of course, I’m talking about the shocking and brutal death of Glenn Rhee, one of the iconic faces of The Walking Dead franchise, at the hands of Negan. It’s been more than a decade since Negan used Lucille, the baseball bat wrapped with barbed wire, and bludgeoned Glenn to death. Watching a character you have grown attached to over a long time, meet such a bone-chilling end was one of the literal heartbreaking moments of my life.

Maybe I need to stop getting attached to fictional characters, but witnessing Glenn get bashed to death kind of prepared me for the worst outcomes for my favorite characters in the future. Years later, I played The Last of Us Part II video game (review), in which Joel, another one of my most cherished main characters, met a similar harrowing end in the story. Even though Glenn prepared me for a situation like this, watching Joel’s life end shattered my heart into pieces.

Image Credit: AMC and HBO (via X/@WalkingDead_AMC and Warner Bros Discovery Pressroom, Liane Hentscher/HBO)

Now, the moment I’ve been dreading has finally been adapted in the second episode of The Last of Us Season 2. The showrunners have slightly altered how they portray Joel’s demise in The Last of Us, but it’s still as gut-wrenching. While Joel’s death in the game was brutal, some of the moments were off-screen, and it lasted for a short period. On the other hand, the live-action TV show doesn’t shy away from showcasing Abby‘s brutality against Joel.

In line with The Walking Dead, where Negan smashed Glenn’s head into a pulp, TLOU portrays Abby bashing Joel on his injured leg and then his head with a golf club. The creators even changed the scene to Abby killing Joel by piercing the jagged end of the shattered golf club into his neck, just as one would take down an infected. Undoubtedly, both these sequences will be remembered as one of the most traumatic deaths in television history.

Be it Abby‘s ruthlessness or Joel succumbing to his death, I truly felt the gravity of the situation here, same as I felt when watching Glenn die back then. This was possible because the showrunners remained faithful to their respective source material and depicted it excellently on screen for the TV show audience.

Not only did Joel’s death in The Last of Us TV series mirror Glenn’s death in The Walking Dead, but their killers, Abby and Negan, respectively, also go on to redeem themselves in the story later on. That is the beauty and bitterness of the stories taking place in post-apocalyptic worlds. In an interview with Variety, Neil Druckmann also discussed the brutality of Joel’s death and how he couldn’t spare the TV show audience:

We don’t actually hold back in the game. I think there’s just something in the live action adaptation that makes it more brutal. We talked a lot about this throughout the season. There’s other instances where we have to make certain adjustments because of that. But it’s also important just to see the brutality. You’ve played the game, and you know how important everyone’s mindset about what happened to Joel is going forward and the choices that they make. Therefore, we couldn’t spare the audience either, because we need them in that same mindset.

Glenn (played by Steven Yeun) got his revenge against Negan (played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan) in another popular animated show, Invincible, where Invincible beats Conquest to a pulp, which was celebrated by The Walking Dead fans recently. However, TLOU leans on the other side, where it’s about redemption and mercy.

Without a doubt, Joel and Glenn’s deaths are my top two character deaths that left me emotionally devastated. In case you have seen both of these shows, let us know your thoughts about their deaths in the comments below.

  • You’ll Soon Be Able to Shop Through ChatGPT!

OpenAI is teaming up with Shopify to bring e-commerce directly into ChatGPT. This new feature will let users browse, ask about, and buy products—all without leaving the chat. It’s a big step that turns ChatGPT from a helpful assistant into a full shopping tool.

ChatGPT and Shopify Bring Shopping to Chat

The system is already in place behind the scenes. Developers have found new code in OpenAI’s website that shows this feature is nearly ready. Some of the code even includes links that go straight to Shopify checkout pages. That means users will be able to make purchases directly, right from within a conversation.

Once the feature is live, you won’t need to jump between websites to shop. You’ll be able to search for items, read product details, and complete a purchase—everything inside the chat window. This makes shopping faster and more convenient.

Shopify’s large network of sellers will also be part of this system. That means a wide variety of products will be available. It opens the door for small and large businesses to reach users through ChatGPT in a new way.

The fact that this feature is in the production environment suggests it will launch soon. And it’s not just OpenAI making moves in this space. Other tech companies are doing something similar.

Microsoft recently launched its “Copilot Merchant Program,” which also adds shopping features to its AI tools. Another AI platform, Perplexity, rolled out its “Buy with Pro” option last year. The trend is clear: AI is becoming a new way to shop.

This change could improve how people interact with online stores. Instead of typing search terms into a website, users can simply ask the AI what they’re looking for. The AI can then show options, answer questions, and help complete the purchase.

For Shopify, this is a chance to give merchants more visibility. For OpenAI, it’s a big upgrade to what ChatGPT can do.

The future of shopping may be just a chat away. What do you think about this change? Would you buy something straight from a chatbot? Let us know in the comments.

Honor X60 GT is officially available in China. Only five days after the phone became available for pre-register, it is now officially available. It’s part of Honor’s new GT series, with another phone in the GT Pro model and tablet GT Pad Pro becoming available on April 23.

The X60 GT is a powerful device. It is driven by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor from Qualcomm. This provides smoothness even under heavy use such as gaming or multitasking.

Honor X60 GT Debuts with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Power

There are three memory options for the phone. Users can have either 12 GB or 16 GB of RAM. Storage is either 256 GB or 512 GB.

One of its biggest selling points is the battery. The Honor X60 GT comes with a whopping 6,300 mAh battery. This is one of the largest batteries ever to be included in an Honor smartphone. It has 80W fast charging. The battery can charge up to 47% in 15 minutes.

Honor also had a bypass charging feature. This enables the phone to run directly on power without charging the battery. It lowers heat while gaming. A large vapor chamber and cooling system cool the phone, with a total cooling area of 5,514 square millimeters.

The screen is a 6.7-inch AMOLED display. It has a 2,664 x 1,200 pixel resolution. The screen brightness can be up to 5,000 nits, so it can be read easily even in harsh sunlight.

The phone runs on MagicOS 9.0. It adds a lot of AI capability, such as background removal, photo editing, and style transitions. It includes a personal assistant and also a Dynamic Island-like notification experience. AI face swap for video calls is another amazing feature.

  • Still Waiting: These 45 Xiaomi Devices Haven’t Gotten HyperOS 2.1 Yet

While Xiaomi made headlines by rolling out its major HyperOS 2.0 update to 116 devices in just six months, the follow-up—HyperOS 2.1—isn’t moving nearly as fast. And that’s left a long list of users tapping their fingers, waiting for their devices to catch up. If you own a recent Xiaomi, Redmi, or POCO phone, your model might still be stuck on 2.0.

    What’s the Hold-Up?

HyperOS 2.1 is slowly making its way through Xiaomi’s ecosystem, bringing subtle but meaningful upgrades. Still, the pace is noticeably more sluggish than the original launch. That means a range of flagship, mid-range, and even tablet and foldable devices are sitting idle—software-wise—while others move ahead.

The Full List: 45 Devices Without the Update (Yet)

These are the devices that received HyperOS 2.0 but haven’t yet been graced with version 2.1:

     Flagships Still in Line

     Mid-Range Models Holding Out

    • Redmi 12, 12 5G, 13, 13C, 13C 5G, 13 5G, 13R
    • Redmi 14R 5G
    • Redmi Note 12 4G, 12 NFC 4G, 12 Turbo, 12S, 12T Pro, 12R
    • Redmi Note 13 Pro, 13 Pro 4G, 13R, 13R Pro, 13 5G, 13 4G NFC, 13 Pro+
    • Redmi Note 14, 14 Pro, 14 Pro+, 14 4G
    • POCO X6 5G, X6 Neo, X7
    • POCO M6, M6 Plus 5G, M6 Pro, M6 Pro 4G
    • POCO C65

     Tablets & Foldables on Hold

    • Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro, Pad 6 Max 14
    • POCO Pad
    • Redmi Pad Pro, Pad Pro 5G
    • Redmi Pad SE, SE 4G, SE 8.7 Wi-Fi
    • Xiaomi MIX FOLD 2

That’s a hefty roster—about 45 in total—that remains in limbo. And while Xiaomi hasn’t shared a precise rollout timeline for these models, history suggests it could be weeks—or months—before they all receive the upgrade.

    Xiaomi HyperOS Update

    Why HyperOS 2.1 Matters

At a glance, HyperOS 2.1 might not look like a major overhaul. But it brings refinements that matter for everyday use. We’re talking about smoother transitions, UI tweaks, and little touches that make the system feel more alive.

    Some standout upgrades include:

    • Sleek, polished animations that make navigation feel faster and more fluid
    • New lock screen effects for a deeper level of customization
    • Animated flashlight activation—a minor change, but a surprisingly delightful one
    • System-wide UI enhancements that polish the overall experience

Basically, it builds on the solid base of 2.0, smoothing out rough edges and improving visual flow. If HyperOS 2.0 was the foundation, 2.1 is the finesse.

    HyperOS 2

The Bigger Picture: Xiaomi’s Update Strategy

The company deserves credit where it’s due. Rolling out HyperOS 2.0 to over a hundred devices across eight global regions in half a year is no small feat. It’s a sign of Xiaomi’s commitment to long-term software support—even across lower and mid-range models, something rivals often overlook.

But it’s not all sunshine. Some models, like the Xiaomi Mi 11 series, POCO F4, and parts of the Redmi Note 12 family, won’t be moving beyond 2.0. These devices have reached the end of their official update lifecycle. And while they’ll continue functioning just fine, don’t expect any more major features coming their way.

  • What Is The WLF in The Last of Us Season 2? Explained

The WLF, aka the Washington Liberation Front, plays a significant part in the story of The Last of Us. In the game, Ellie and Tommy encounter the antagonistic organization for the first time, but it seems the HBO series is taking a different approach. The television series reveals the organization when Dina and Joel are ambushed by Abby and her group. Now that the TV show has given fans a glimpse of the WLF and introduced us to some of its members, including Abby, we’ll elaborate on what the WLF is exactly in The Last of Us Season 2.

Washington Liberation Front in The Last of Us Explained

The Washington Liberation Front, also referred to as the Wolves, is a paramilitary group that was formed sometime in the 2020s during the Cordyceps outbreak. When FEDRA ruled Seattle, two residents of the city, named Emma and Jason Patterson, enraged by the strict rules and bad living conditions, decided to form the WLF.

They hired several members to join the WLF, but soon, the couple was marked as terrorists when they started committing deeds like stealing food and medical supplies from the military. Thus, they were eventually killed by the military, and after that, Isaac replaced them and became the leader of the organization. Isaac’s character was voiced by Jeffrey Wright in the game, and the HBO series has also confirmed that the American actor has been cast for the role. So, considering the pacing of the TV series, he might enter the picture soon.

Initially, the organization’s members were against Isaac, but with time, they took him as their leader, and the group eventually overthrew FEDRA under his leadership. Later, they waged a war against Seraphites, another group that wanted to rule the entire city. Seraphites haven’t made it to the television show yet, but as the trailers suggest, we’ll get to see them enter the story soon.

The WLF’s Transformation from Rebels to Ruthless Rulers

The WLF was formed for good; initially, the group was meant to free the surviving residents from the ruthless FEDRA rule. However, when Isaac took over the leadership following the deaths of the founders, he started seeing himself as the sole ruler of the entire city. The ones who promised liberation soon became the ones pushing every survivor to become a loyal WLF servant. Their rules were way stricter than those of FEDRA. Isaac instructed every resident in the zone to break ties with anyone who is associated with FEDRA.

Isaac believed in the “kill or be killed” method, so those who desired to protest against his order weren’t given second chances.

Is Abby a Washington Liberation Front Member in TLOU?

Yes, Abby is a WLF member; that’s what was hinted at in The Last of Us Season 2 Episode 2. She wasn’t a WLF member from the start, though. It was her fate that brought her to the doorstep of the antagonistic faction after Joe massacred the Fireflies at the Salt Lake.

Abby and Manny were the former fireflies who showed their potential to the paramilitary group and soon became the most potent WLFs.

  • One Piece: Gunko Show off the Regenerative Powers of the God’s Knights

One Piece manga has returned with chapter 1146 after a short break last week. The previous chapter concluded with Gunko arriving on Colon’s ship. Hence, fans eagerly awaited the showdown between the Straw Hats crew on the ship and the God’s Knights member in One Piece Chapter 1146.

The Straw Hats Pirates are a Yonko-level crew, so the fandom expected them to withstand Gunko’s arrow devil fruit powers. However, Oda gives an intriguing power-up to Gunko, and possibly all the other God’s Knights, in the latest chapter, making them a force to be reckoned with in the story.

The latest chapter opens up with Gunko fighting a portion of the Straw Hat Pirates on Colon’s ship. Though it was a 1 vs 5 situation, Gunko has no trouble dealing with the Straw Hats with her Aro Aro no Mi devil fruit powers. To everyone’s surprise, Usopp stands up against Gunko and uses his Kuro Kabuto to shoot her down. His shot completely destroys Gunko’s upper body, and even Usopp gets scared that he went overboard.

Much to everyone’s disbelief, Gunko is revealed to possess a regeneration ability similar to the Five Elders in One Piece. Gunko swiftly restores her destroyed body parts, which is something no one saw coming. Now that Gunko has received a regeneration powerup from Oda, fans question whether the rest of the God’s Knights members also possess the same ability.

Earlier, it was stated that Gunko possesses a mark that allows her to summon her friends using the ‘Abyss.’ So, we would have to wait for some time to see if the people with the mark are the only ones who have the regeneration ability.

In the Egghead arc, Saint Saturn‘s use of regeneration powers in the battle made the fans worried about the strength of the final antagonists of One Piece. With Gunko repeating history again, this piece of evidence against makes us wonder if she is related to Imu. Because the Gorosei certainly received their demonic powers from their supreme leader.

Things are not heading the way we anticipate, as Gunko didn’t recognize Brook and is so fixated on ruining lives in the giants’ homeland. So will Gunko redeem herself by the end of the Elbaf arc? Let us know in the comments below.
