Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha was introduced as the main villain in the WandaVision TV show. Ever since then, fans have been craving to know more about her. Well, Marvel Studios will give us much more information on Agatha through her own TV series, Agatha All Along. In the upcoming series, Agatha will be at the forefront – meaning we’ll get the origin story of the witch, which is pretty interesting. However, MCU fans who love Scarlet Witch want to know if Elizabeth Olsen’s character will also appear in the show. Well, here’s all we know about it.
Will Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch Appear in Agatha All Along
As of now, there’s no confirmation for Elizabeth Olsen to appear in Agatha All Along as Scarlet Witch, and to be honest, the chances are very slim. From the looks of it, the upcoming series will focus solely on Agatha and her story. Showrunner Jac Schaeffer sort of confirms that in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. Schaeffer said that Agatha won’t stand in anyone’s shadow in Agatha All Along – “This is emphatically an Agatha Harkness show.”
That being said, Scarlet Witch’s legacy will live on in Agatha All Along. Apparently, Agatha will still be under the Scarlet Witch’s spell from WandaVision. The series will be set three years after the events of the 2021 show, and Agatha will be playing the role of a detective. She’ll try to uncover the murder of a victim, who’s later revealed to be Wanda Maximoff. So, even though Wanda likely won’t appear in Agatha All Along, her name will be mentioned several times. Like Schaeffer said to EW, “Wanda’s legacy has threads in this narrative.”
Elizabeth Olsen’s Future as Scarlet Witch in MCU
Of course, it might be disheartening for many fans that Elizabeth Olsen will not appear in Agatha All Along. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that the actor won’t return to the MCU.
Interestingly, a recent report from Deadline suggests that Elizabeth Olsen might return as Scarlet Witch in the Vision series, which is set to premiere in 2026. The same report also hints at James Spader’s return as Ultron. Since the very beginning, Wanda has been tied to Vision, and it is his death that sends her on a dark path. So, it makes sense for her to appear in the Vision series – Vision’s story will always be incomplete without Wanda.
However, let’s not forget that we saw Wanda dying in Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness, and the official trailer of Agatha All Along also shows the witch’s lifeless body. So, the possibilities suggest that Wanda will not appear on Agatha’s TV show. However, if she does appear in the MCU ever again, it would be interesting to see how the creators bring her back to life.
