Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is now live on Disney+, and just like one would expect, this series has done a wonderful job giving Spider-Man a brand new twist in an alternative storyline. The series has brought us a pretty neat animation style that goes well with the vibe Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is trying to pull for itself. Who Is the Voice Actor Behind Doctor Strange in the New Spider-Man Show?
Robin Atkin Downes is voicing Doctor Strange in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, and even though you might not be familiar with how he looks, there is no way you have not heard his voice before. He is a professional voice actor who has given his voice to multiple DC Animated Universe projects. He has appeared in Batman: The Killing Joke as Harvey Bullock, Constantine: The House of Mysteries as Gary Lester, Batman: The Long Halloween as Thomas Wayne, and many more.
He has also given his voice to Marvel projects such as Iron Man and Hulk: Heroes Unite and Hulk and The Agents of S.M.A.S.H. So, he has had a long career appearing in superhero movies, but this is his first time playing Doctor Strange.
Will Doctor Strange Appear Again in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man?
In the very first episode of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, we see that as Peter is entering Midtown High, a portal opens up, and a villain who looks like a variant of Venom falls out of it while being engaged in combat with Doctor Strange. Through that portal, a spider also falls out and ends up biting Peter giving him his superpowers.
While fighting the villain, Doctor Strange says that they are not supposed to be here and, by the end of the fight, takes the Venom variant with him through the portal. Now that his appearance in Peter’s world has resulted in the rise of Spider-Man, it might disrupt the timeline, which may force him to return to this world. So, there is a high possibility that Doctor Strange will be back in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man in further episodes.
