Vivo started to tease the launch of the Vivo X200 series in India. The lineup composed by the Vivo X200 and X200 Pro was released last month in China. It won’t take much longer to escape the domestic market and soon reach India. The company’s local arm has set up a promo page on its official website. It says that the Vivo X200 series is “coming soon”. Although an exact launch date has not been given, we can expect this release to be imminent.
The page includes the Vivo X200 Pro’s grey model, which confirms its launch in India. This may also serve as an indication that this is the only color of the X200 Pro to reach the country. It won’t be the first time this has happened. After all, Vivo launched the Vivo X80 Pro, X90 Pro, and X100 Pro in black only in India. The vanilla models, on the other hand, came in multiple colors. Vivo believes that consumers buying the Pro are not interested in fancy colors.
Vivo did not mention the Vivo X200 Pro mini in its teasers. This intriguing variant will remain exclusive to China. We can understand this strategy, after all, Apple taught us a lesson with its iPhone mini variants failing big time in multiple markets. Anyway, a 6.31-inch display is not so mini, unlike the iPhone 12/13 mini with its 5.42-inch display.
