Apple has plans for a Major iPhone Makeover for the Device’s 20th Anniversary in 2027. The first iPhone was released in June, 2007 which makes this year it’s 20th anniversary. To celebrate the occasion, Apple intends to plan a redesign, as mentioned in Mark Gurman’s report on Bloomberg. This update may be one of the biggest changes Apple has undergone till now.
The most notable development is the foldable iPhone, which Apple could launch alongside the new iPhone 19 Pro in 2027. Reports say Apple will design this new version with a lot more glass. Though the details are not final, it can mean that the phone will have a glass body giving it a sleek design. It can also imply a Xiaomi Mix Alpha style wrap-around display.
Apple Gears Up for Major iPhone Redesign Ahead of 20th Anniversary
The concept of an all-glass iPhone is not new. Back in 2017, Apple’s former design lead, Jony Ive, thought about creating a streamlined iPhone crafted from a single slab of glass. That idea didn’t come to fruition, but it looks like Apple is poised to take steps in that direction.
This Concept is Not Entirely New: There Have Been Whispers Surrounding An All-Glass iPhone For Years Now. According to reports, Apple’s Chief Design Officer, Jony Ive was said to be imagining an iPhone that was single-glass, seamless in appearance back in the year 2017. Even though this concept did not launch, it seems like Apple is in position to realizing it.
Gurman’s latest report also covers more immediate updates. The upcoming iPhone 17 Pro models will not feature a two-tone rear panel. This goes against some early renders and leaks. Like the current iPhone 16 Pro, the 17 Pro will keep a clean, uniform color. Gurman describes it as a more refined design. The camera module is also getting a major change. The iPhone 17 Pro will have a new look with a larger camera island. This island will stretch across the width of the phone. The update will improve both the phone’s appearance and its camera performance.
The next years will be exhilarating for iPhone fans as Apple keeps improving its technology and smartphone design. The company is planning something exciting to mark the the 20th anniversary of the iPhone and that includes an all-glass body or even a foldable body.

One of the standout features of Gemini Nano on Google Pixel is Scam detection. It’s a feature where the AI model detects for any cues inside a call that could be a potential scam. Google unveiled it back in Google I/O 2024, and it rolled out to the Pixel phones as part of the March Pixel drop. However, it looks like the Scam Detection feature is now rolling out to Google Pixel Watch 2 and 3.
In a new support page that was published recently, Google has acknowledged the availability of Scam Detection on Pixel Watches. The feature is rolling out to Pixel Watch 2 and 3 starting today, and you can start using Scam Detection, if you have a Pixel 9. It’s also worth mentioning that Scam Detection on Pixel Watches is only available in the US and in English language.
Since Pixel Watches don’t boast the hardware capable of running the models onboard. So, you need to be connected to your Pixel phone to use the feature. This is regardless of if you have an LTE or WI-Fi-only variant.
That said, it’s a bummer that the feature availability doesn’t start with Pixel 8 considering it also supports Gemini Nano’s Scam Detection. We hope Google expands the support soon.
To ensure the feature is working, all you need to do is open the Phone app and head over to Settings > Scam Detection. All you need to do is turn on Scam Detection and the feature should start working on your watch. To know if it’s actually working, you should hear an audible beep at the start and every few minutes.
Google also recently rolled out a hotfix update for Pixel Watch 2 and 3, fixing Notification delays and random restarts. Besides, there also seems to be a mysterious Gemini icon appearing during calls, suggesting Pixel Watches could soon get Gemini and/or more AI capabilities.
What are your thoughts on Pixel Watches? Let us know in the comments below.

Poco has already launched the F7 Pro and F7 Ultra, and you might have been wondering if a “vanilla” F7 model will be joining the trio. The answer is now a very clear yes , as the F7 has just been certified for sale in India by the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards). As you would expect from the naming convention, this is a more basic phone than the Pro and Ultra. The F7 is probably a rebranded Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, launching in China either this month or in May.
Cameras, Build, and Bonus Features
The highly affordable device will feature a 6.83-inch OLED LTPS flat display with a “1.5K” resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will pack a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, a 50MP main rear camera, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a massive 7,500mAh 90W battery with wired support. It should also feature IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
The Poco F7 might be the only member of the F7 series to launch in India, just like last year’s F6. For that market, it has the model number 25053PC47I. The model number suggests that it could launch next month, but of course, it could take a little longer.
Poco’s move to offer a more affordable but equally capable device in its F series is reminiscent of the successful strategy of other manufacturers offering a “value for money” flagship. If the rumors about the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro’s specifications are real, the Poco F7 has all the prerequisites to become the new “king” of the mid-range, offering premium features at a more attractive price. We eagerly await the official announcements to see if the expectations are solid.
Possible pricing?
Price-wise, the Poco F7 will probably follow in the F6’s footsteps. The previous model was sold for ₹29,999, so it would make sense for the new device to become available at a similar price. After all the Chinese sub-brand has been consistently aiming for that sweet spot between solid performance and aggressive pricing, and this new release seems to be following the same playbook.

Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us came out in 2013, and since then, the video game has enjoyed widespread fame. The live-action adaptations of video games had a bad reputation, so it’s understandable why fans didn’t expect too much from TLOU live-action. However, this time, the tables were turned, and HBO’s The Last of Us became a huge success. Be it the emotional depth, the acting performances, or the post-apocalyptic setting, everything about the series made it a masterpiece.
Image Credit: Sony Pictures Television Studios (via YouTube/Max)
The success of the first two episodes of The Last of Us Season 1 was enough for the creators and the network to renew it for Season 2. While the pilot season adapted the first video game in its entirety, it seems that The Last of Us Season 2 will take a different approach.
Early reviews for the new season have started surfacing already, and most of them suggest that the upcoming season will be even better. However, there’s a catch. Unlike the first season, Season 2 of The Last of Us will only cover the first half of the second video game’s story. It further means that some of the major events of Ellie’s quest for revenge will be reserved for a third season.
The first video game’s story was way more compact compared to Part II, as it revolved mainly around Joel and Ellie. However, the successor introduced us to several new characters, groups, and infected. So, it makes sense why the creators planned to adapt only the first half of the story in the second season of the television show. Moreover, as we know, the new season will also be shorter by two episodes, so if rushed, it would miss the key essence of the second game.
Apart from Joel and Ellie, characters like Abby and Dina also play a significant role in The Last of Us Part 2’s story. And, well, it would have been impossible to do each character justice in just seven, or for that matter, in nine episodes. While it may seem to many fans that the network is milking the franchise’s popularity by stretching it for another season. However, that isn’t the case. Instead, the creators want to do justice to the source material by delivering a good end to Ellie’s journey.

With Vision Pro, Apple has been pushing the idea of immersive content and it allows iPhone users to record Spatial Videos to watch them on Vision Pro. However, until now, there has been no proper channel or method to manage immersive videos. Today, Apple has released a new app to help users manage immersive videos and content on Vision Pro and Mac.
The app is named Apple Immersive Video Utility and is available on visionOS and macOS to download. According to the description on the App Store, Apple Immersive Video Utility allows users to import, organize, package, and review Apple Immersive Video media on Mac devices. Since the app is also available for Vision Pro, it can be used to review immersive videos on the headset.

Using the app, users can import and manage immersive video files, share immersive videos, inspect and modify the Metadata of the videos, and also stream immersive video playlists on multiple Vision Pro devices using a Mac.
The app is free to download, but it is only available for devices set to U.S. English. You’d require a Mac with an M1 chip or above and running macOS 15.0 or later to download the Apple Immersive Video Utility app.

It’s been one week already since Bandai Namco released the massive Season 2 update for Tekken 8, and people can’t stop talking about it (for better or worse).
The game-overhauling patch has received a ton of complaints and criticisms to the point that Tekken’s Steam reviews have fallen to “Overwhelmingly Negative.”
And with that level of detractors for the game right now, you’d almost think that matchmaking would be a ghost town or at least decreased since the update.
But is that actually the case?
This got us curious about Tekken 8’s numbers, so we headed on over to Steam Charts to see how the game is performing on PC currently.
What we found doesn’t quite match the picture that players have been painting the past week.
Instead, we saw the highest peak for the game in over a year and overall higher numbers coming from the end of Season 1.
Upon the launch of Tekken 8 Season 2, the game reached a peak concurrent userbase of 16,091, which hasn’t been seen for the game since March last year.
So unsurprisingly, more than double the usual amount of players hopped online to try things out.
This is about what you’d expect out of a big season update for a major fighting game, but what about what happened after?
Well, Tekken was on average peaking in the 6,000s in the weeks leading up to the patch.
Numbers obviously have gone down since the highest point last week, however, it’s still generally beating out where the game was before.
Tekken almost crested 10,000 on April 5 and has generally been around or above those active users in the days prior.
Today is a little bit lower with a 24-hour peak of 7,464, but that still beats out the average set at the end of Season 1.
So more people (at least on PC) are playing Tekken 8 Season 2 than the last few months of the game.
That’s still not enough to come close to matching Street Fighter 6, which has an impressive 32,487 concurrent players over the past day, but it’s still more than enough to make Tekken 8 the second most popular fighting game on the platform currently unless you want to count Brawlhalla up there too.
It’ll be interesting to see if Tekken’s numbers remain fairly consistent in the weeks to come or if things will continue to drop lower than where they were prior.
Bandai Namco has acknowledged the player responses to Season 2 with a few messages, so there may be more coming to re-shake up the game some more too.
“Fighters, we are aware of the current community feedback regarding #TEKKEN8 Season 2. We are carefully reviewing the balance of the game; expect more information about these changes soon,” reads the post from the official Tekken account in part.
Overall, Tekken 8 is not in any danger of “dying” any time soon even with these unpopular changes, but we’ll have to wait and see just how many people stick around to play the game in its current state.
One of the most exciting things about the fighting game community is the injection and growth of young / new talent in the scene, and there’s someone in particular who deserves that recognition right now.
The 15-year-old Ryu prodigy 2Game|Blaz recently came in a wildly exceptional second place finish at Capcom Cup 11, and now he’s put together a tier list for Street Fighter 6 following the event too.
While appearing on the Flow Games MD3 show, Blaz was tasked with putting together rankings for all SF6 characters currently in the game, and he’s certainly got a few interesting placements.
That starts at the very top with Mai Shiranui being included among the S tier fighters along with JP, which makes a bit of sense considering the only player he lost to at the main tournament was IBSG|Kakeru and his Psycho-powered accountant.
Some other strong contenders then did not make the top cut, but were instead placed in A tier interestingly including Ed, Cammy, Guile and Juri.
This is where Blaz put his own character in Ryu too while the other Shotos in Ken and Akuma were higher up in S.
More interesting placements continue in the B rank category where Rashid is in the middle of the pack as well as Zangief, Terry and A.K.I.
The young Chilean prodigy also has four characters in total down in C tier including Manon and Dhalsim though it’s not the lowest.
Blaz does have a D tier category with two members, and you may be able to guess who they are among fighters who didn’t really show up at all at Capcom Cup.
You can check out Blaz’s full tier list below, which does not appear to be ordered, along with the MD3 video where the discussion begins around the 58-minute mark though it is in Spanish.
We’re now just over one month away from the Capcom Fighting Collection 2’s release where players will have access to eight classic titles from the company.
Today, Capcom released a new trailer for the collection focusing on Project Justice, Plasma Sword and some of the pre-order bonuses.
Project Justice first released in 2000 as the sequel to Rival Schools featuring 3v3 team battles.
Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein is another sequel for Star Gladiator this time from 1998 taking place one year after the first game where players can “use character-specific Plasma Fields to briefly overwhelm your opponents, or unleash a Plasma Strike that devastates with a dazzling display.”
After going through a brief overview of the games and some of the modes like Training, they show off some snippets of the bonus soundtrack that’ll be available for those who pre-order the collection.
There’s special Cap-Jams arrangements for a number of songs including Soy Sauce for Geese, as well as the Rival Schools Medley among others.
And players (in North America at least) can also pick up a Capcom vs SNK mini comic for pre-orderding the physical edition of the game too.
The Capcom Fighting Collection 2 also features Capcom vs. SNK, Capcom vs. SNK 2, Capcom Fighting Evolution, Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper, Power Stone, and Power Stone 2 on the playable roster with online play and new options.
It’s scheduled to release on May 16, 2025 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
NYT Wordle is a satisfying and tricky test of vocabulary and logic that challenges players to guess a new five-letter word every day. However, things can get a little too challenging at times, and that probably explains why you’re here. So, if you don’t want to break your word-guessing streak or get too frustrated, take a look at today’s Wordle hints and answer for puzzle #1389 for April 8, 2025, down below!
How to Play Wordle
Wordle is a word puzzle game by The New York Times. You are given six attempts to guess a five-letter word. The letters are highlighted in Yellow, Green, and Grey when you input a word. Yellow denotes that the letter appears in today’s Wordle answer, but it’s not at the right spot. Meanwhile, when a letter turns green, it means you have guessed the right letter in the right position. At last, a grey letter means the letter is not part of today’s answer.
While it may seem that winning at Wordle is easy, it is difficult to get that pesky five-letter word right. To help you out, here are some quick tips on how to play Wordle:
Open with a strong word – Using the right Wordle starting words rich with multiple vowels and consonants is important. While you can take a look at our dedicated guide, starting words like AISLE, SALTY, and DINER are my go-to choices.
Pay attention to colors – Keep track of the yellow, green, and grayed-out letters to eliminate incorrect positions and letters. To make every guess count, avoid accidentally repeating letters that have already been eliminated.
Isolate the vowels – There can be days when your usual starting words don’t help much. In that case, try to test the remaining vowels by using different words.
Repeating letters is good – Don’t be afraid of repeating letters as history is proof that there are chances the Wordle answer will have one or two letters that repeat themselves.
Use the Wordlebot – As described above, NYT’s Wordlebot is an intuitive bot that analyzes your responses and compares them against itself. Instilling some healthy competition can help you improve your own Wordle guessing and see what you could have done better.

Meaning of Spare — Someone or something that’s extra or available to be used if needed.
The game today was very similar to the March 3 Wordle, and I was instantly hit by deja vu. As usual, I started the round with SALTY, and the S here turned green. Additionally, I also got a yellow A from it. Next, I got a yellow E and an R from DINER, while POUCH gave me a P in the yellow. I gave SPEAR a try, and when S and P turned green here, I knew my next move. SPARE turned out to be the Wordle answer for the day, and it was quite an easy solve.

What is NYT Strands Spangram and How Does It Work?
Every NYT Strands puzzle consists of a unique word or phrase that’s called the Spangram. This word or set of words will run the length of two opposite sides of the grid. One thing to note here is that, a Spangram doesn’t necessarily have to originate or end at the edge of the grid.
In its essence, the Spangram is kind of like a bigger hint that sums up today’s Strands theme in just a word or two. Since it spans across two sides of the puzzle, solving it early helps you figure out the rest of the theme words and vice versa.
Tips and Strategies for Mastering NYT Strands Puzzle
Solving an NYT Strands puzzle successfully isn’t that hard in itself, but in some cases, the approach might not be as straightforward as it looks. So, here are simple tips and tricks that we suggest you follow to crack the theme words and Spangram for Strands puzzles:
Always start at the corners: No two puzzles are the same. But the chances of the Spangram extending to a diagonal form are quite low. So, the best strategy is to find and decrypt relevant words that are at the corners of the grid.
Don’t be ashamed to get hints: Sometimes, a theme word could be all you need to solve the entire puzzle. If that requires getting a hint using non-theme words, then that’s the first thing you should do. After all, the point is to have fun and figure this out, like all of us.
Think both literally and figuratively: Not all themes may land you in the same sense of thought. Some puzzles may welcome more clever answers that may convey something totally different from their actual meaning.
Aim for the Spangram: The Spangram is what splits the Strands board in half. So, figuring it out will help you cross out other potential approaches for a theme. Deciphering even half of the Spangram can get you close to the rest of the answers.
