There’s set to be a special Evo Showcase for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves where they’ll also announce the final character for the game.
The showcase is set to begin at 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET though we don’t know when the announcement will take place.
There will be two team captains between WBG|MenaRD and E.T. who will pick from a player pool of Cuddle_Core, Diaphone, Nitro, Riddles, Smug and Violentkain to be part of their pools.
Eight matches are set to be played in total.
Fatal Fury is set to launch with 17 characters in total and we’re at 16 right now.

Meaning of Turbo — A turbo, short for turbocharger, is a fan powered by the exhaust gases of an engine, which forces more air into the engine’s cylinders than normal.

Doug Bowser, president of Nintendo America, has addressed concerns about whether the new U.S. tariff policy will impact the price of the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 console. Speaking to The Verge, Bowser confirmed that tariffs do not influence the console’s pricing. According to him, Nintendo’s pricing is based on what he described as the “product life cycle value.” He claims that the Switch 2 is priced at $49.99 because the company aims to deliver long-term value. This approach, he said, ensures that the device offers sustained utility over time rather than being priced in response to short-term cost factors such as tariffs.
Demo game sparks pricing debate
Bowser also discussed Nintendo’s approach to game pricing, using the new demo game Nintendo Switch 2 Secret Exhibition as an example. Despite being a teaching tool, the game carries a $9.99 price tag due to what Bowser called its “deep repeatable experience.” He noted that pricing depends on content depth rather than function alone. He said:
We are committed to building a device that integrates into the user entertainment ecosystem and has long-term use value, which together determine the final pricing.

Multilingual vs Japanese models
Nintendo has also updated its website with new FAQs. It outlines the differences between the Japanese and multilingual versions of the Switch 2. The Japanese edition is priced at 49,980 yen (around $339) and only supports Nintendo accounts tied to Japan. Also, it is limited to Japanese language settings. It also lacks access to key services like GameChat, eShop, and online multiplayer games for users outside Japan.
In contrast, the multilingual model is priced at 69,980 yen (about $505). It offers broader compatibility, supporting 16 languages and accounts from any region. However, Nintendo warns that compatibility with global game cards is not guaranteed on the Japanese version.
Scalping disrupts early pre-orders
Shortly after pre – orders began, major UK retailers like Argos and EE were hit by scalper activity. We reported yesterday that the Switch 2 was selling for more than £600 (more than $766) on resale websites. This is significantly more than the official retail price. Sincere buyers are irritated because some listings have already sold. At the time of writing, there is no official statement from the company regarding the scalping issue.

Desk is well-known for putting together some very impressive combos, especially for Street Fighter titles, and also with the speed he tends to do so.
Well, it seems that Desk was struck by a strange flash of inspiration this time while we’re waiting for Elena’s release and the eventual Season 3 update and decided to try and make Street Fighter 6 into Street Fighter 4. The results are… definitely creative.
The basic gist of the video is that Desk tries to do combos or sequences in Street Fighter 4 that are also possible in Street Fighter 6, which is a pretty cool experiment to see.
While some things transfer over fairly naturally, like Drive Impact being a stand-in for a Focus Attack and Drive Rush working as Focus Attack Dash Cancels, Desk quickly finds that he needs to get a bit more creative when it comes to doing the FADC sequences in certain situations.
Since Street Fighter 4 and Street Fighter 6 both contain the majority of Street Fighter 2 characters, there’s a lot of fighters you can try these overlapping techniques for.
And when that doesn’t work, you can always implement Jamie instead of Gen to showcase some good old kung-fu theatrics.

Well, soon you might not have to worry about such things as the popular messaging app is working on a new Advanced chat privacy feature which will add another layer of security to your WhatsApp conversations, preventing others from saving media or exporting chats.
As per WABetaInfo, the latest WhatsApp beta version 2.25.11.2 for Android has a new Advanced chat privacy feature. This will block anyone trying to export a WhatsApp chat. Instead, it’ll show a pop-up informing them of the same, as shown in the screenshot below.

With Advanced chat privacy enabled, any media you share in a chat won’t be saved on the recipient’s device automatically. This can come especially handy if you accidentally end up sharing sensitive or private photos, videos, or other media files. We are unsure whether it will block users from taking screenshots or manually saving the file.
It will also let everyone know that you have turned on advanced chat privacy, whether it’s a one-on-one thread or a group chat. The same applies when you disable it, adding a sense of transparency between you and your friends. The feature is currently under development, limited to a few beta testers, and will be available for everyone sometime later.
After banning people from screenshotting or saving profile photos, this seems like the next step in user privacy. I wholeheartedly support this upcoming advanced chat privacy feature and have a few suggestions of my own. Like, prevent others from forwarding your messages or taking a screenshot of the chat itself.

The Last of Us TV series will not be ending with Season 2. Just days ahead of the season 2 premiere, HBO has renewed The Last of Us for a third season. Ellie (Bella Ramsey) and Joel’s (Pedro Pascal) strained relationship will be on display in the second season, but the introduction of Abby (Kaitlyn Dever) will see the story take a drastic new turn, one that will need another season to tell.
HBO has surprised fans with a Season 3 announcement today, but it’s not news for many. We have been hearing the showrunners talk about their plans to continue the story with two additional seasons for a long time. Moreover, early reviews of The Last of Us Season 2 also revealed that the show adapts only the first half of The Last of Us: Part 2. So, a third season was inevitable.
Commenting on the confirmation of The Last of Us Season 3, the show’s co-creator and showrunner Craig Mazin said,
“We approached Season 2 with the goal of creating something we could be proud of. The end results have exceeded even our most ambitious goals, thanks to our continued collaboration with HBO and the impeccable work of our unparalleled cast and crew. Marvel’s latest successful game Marvel Rivals is just about to start its second season and the character debuting with the new content is the White Queen herself, Emma Frost.
Originally an antagonist to the X-Men, Emma Frost has been a pivotal character to the X-Men franchise for the last 20 years so her joining Marvel Rivals to represent the group makes sense, but did you know that she was originally planned for Marvel vs. Capcom 3 as well?
Emma Frost, also known as the White Queen, was originally part of a group called the Hellfire Club which are antagonists in the X-Men series, but her profile as a character would rise massively during the early 2000s when Grant Morrison implemented her in his run on New X-Men.
She established a relationship with iconic X-Men leader Cyclops early on and ever since, she’s been one of the most central characters to the X-Men as a whole. This big increase in popularity and screen presence actually lined up pretty perfectly with Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and she was a very present character in Marvel’s general roster at the time.
Back in 2010, there was a panel at that summer’s Comic-Con where Marvel vs. Capcom 3 producer Ryota Niitsuma talked on stage about lots of different details regarding Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
The panel was streamed, but this was back on uStream which has not existed for a very long time and I have unfortunately not been able to find any archive of this stream, but there are written accounts which talk about details from the panel such as our article linked above.
This was before the full roster for the game was known, so obviously he remained tight-lipped on some subjects, but he was surprisingly candid about characters that they had wanted to implement or had begun work on but unfortunately had to remove from the game.
One of the characters mentioned here was Emma Frost, and while most sources (including our own EventHubs article from the time) doesn’t elaborate on her dismissal from the game, there is a source from a few years ago which does.
Reddit user slib wrote a big dissertation on the now-defunct /r/Kappa subreddit relaying more details from the panel since he was there in person to witness it way back in 2010.
Now, obviously this information is anecdotal and comes from this user’s memory, though there are several details in this account which have also been corroborated by Niitsuma himself throughout the years, so while you can take it with a grain of salt there’s likely a decent amount of truth to it.
According to slib, Ryota Niitsuma explicitly referred to Emma Frost as “one of his favorite characters to create” but after starting development on her, Marvel approached the team with a different idea which ended up taking precedence.
The reddit user speculates that this idea was likely Phoenix, who had not been revealed at the time. This adds up with comments pre-release where Seth Killian would talk about a specific character concept he was looking forward for people to see, which ended up being Phoenix.
It’s kind of interesting how in the comics, Emma Frost romanced Cyclops, the husband of the then-presumed deceased Phoenix, and then for Phoenix to in turn steal Emma’s spot in Marvel vs. Capcom 3… almost makes it feel like some sort of planned revenge.
While there’s no news on any new Marvel vs. Capcom projects in the future, Emma Frost has stayed a significant presence in the X-Men books even today, as you can likely tell from her early inclusion for Marvel Rivals, so if we ever were to see the return of the franchise, she might still get her shot.
Until then, we hope that Mr. Niitsuma will at least try out Emma Frost in Marvel Rivals instead of dwelling on what could have been.
