  • This cosplayer has perfectly captured A.K.I.’s appearance and mannerisms

A.K.I. is an extremely tricky and complex character in Street Fighter 6. Like F.A.N.G in Street Fighter 5, she has a unique fighting style in which she slowly widdles opponents down through the usage of poison, though A.K.I. also has some ludicrously high damage capabilities under the correct circumstances.

Prior to her becoming an actual playable character, A.K.I.’s existence was hinted at during the post Street Fighter 5 storyline, Toxicity. This story established how A.K.I. first came into contact with F.A.N.G and became his apprentice, though she was briefly known as “Phantom” back then.

From a visual design perspective, A.K.I. has a pale white complexion. This skin tone of A.K.I.’s is a homage to white snakes.

Most white snakes tend to be nonvenomous in nature and they’re often docile creatures. As a result of this, many people like to keep white snakes as pets.

A.K.I.’s appearance as a pale white snake is meant to be a deception of sorts. Despite appearing harmless, she harbors a sinister and deadly nature within her.

Needless to say, we recently took notice of Toiletpaper2333’s A.K.I. cosplay. She manages to perfectly capture the appearance and mannerisms of A.K.I., really bringing the character to life.

I began with the Yellow category, and I mean it’s fairly obvious where Nick and Swipe go, right? The Green group came next, and these are also fairly easy classroom terms to get through.

While the Blue category might have thought it was difficult, I type for a living, so this one was yet again easy. As always, with only four words left, I combined them to get the Purple category and the NYT Connections for April 13.

How to Play Connections: Tips & Tricks to Solve the Puzzle

Given the fact you’re here, chances are that you already know how to play NYT Connections. As you might be able to tell by now, Connections by The New York Times is a word association game where players sort out 16 random words into four categories by finding a common ‘connection.’ This can be anything from a common sound to a deeper meaning.

That said, if you’re still confused, here are the best tips on how to play NYT Connections:

    • Simplicity is key: Connections will often throw ambiguous words at you. While it’s easy to get caught up in the details, the answer almost always lies in the simplest connections possible. So, instead of dear and deer being connected through a hunter-prey dynamic, they most likely connect because of a similar sound.
    • Watch those guesses: A key thing to note is Connections only gives you four chances in 24 hours for a single puzzle. As such, we advise not being trigger happy and carefully weighing in your words before pressing that submit button.
    • Shuffle Away: While a bit tricky, the sneaky Connections editor deliberately puts the first word placement as a misdirection. So the one golden tip here is to press that Shuffle button before you go on solving it.

If you’re still unsure how to proceed, check out our dedicated how-to-play NYT Connections guide for all the help you need.

We hope you had similar luck as I did for today’s game. If not, please let us know in the comments below!

To get you started, the puzzle will give you a theme for today’s NYT Strands. You can use it to form multiple “theme” words which will be relevant to this theme, along with one “special” word called the Spangram. This is a word or phrase that spans the length of the grid, vertically, horizontally, or diagonally, giving you the key to crack the rest of the Strands theme words.

The theme for today’s Strands can be relevant in many different ways. So, the puzzle keeps you on your toes every day with its intriguing set of theme words and Spangrams.

The answers for today’s Strands were pretty straightforward. I started off with the first set of theme words – HELLO and FLEW. Once I spotted COLOR, solving the Spangram and the theme words was an easy affair.

What is NYT Strands Spangram and How Does It Work?

Every NYT Strands puzzle consists of a unique word or phrase that’s called the Spangram. This word or set of words will run the length of two opposite sides of the grid. One thing to note here is that, a Spangram doesn’t necessarily have to originate or end at the edge of the grid.

In its essence, the Spangram is kind of like a bigger hint that sums up today’s Strands theme in just a word or two. Since it spans across two sides of the puzzle, solving it early helps you figure out the rest of the theme words and vice versa.

Tips and Tricks for Mastering NYT Strands Puzzles

Solving an NYT Strands puzzle successfully isn’t that hard in itself, but in some cases, the approach might not be as straightforward as it looks. So, here are simple tips and tricks that we suggest you follow to crack the theme words and Spangram for Strands puzzles:

    • Always start at the corners: No two puzzles are the same. But the chances of the Spangram extending to a diagonal form are quite low. So, the best strategy is to find and decrypt relevant words that are at the corners of the grid.
    • Don’t be ashamed to get hints: Sometimes, a theme word could be all you need to solve the entire puzzle. If that requires getting a hint using non-theme words, then that’s the first thing you should do. After all, the point is to have fun and figure this out, like all of us.
    • Think both literally and figuratively: Not all themes may land you in the same sense of thought. Some puzzles may welcome more clever answers that may convey something totally different from their actual meaning.
    • Aim for the Spangram: The Spangram is what splits the Strands board in half. So, figuring it out will help you cross out other potential approaches for a theme. Deciphering even half of the Spangram can get you close to the rest of the answers.

  • How to Get Blue Moon Totem in Fisch

Another week, and we have another new mini update in Fisch. The new ‘Blue Moon’ update brings two new secret fishing locations, new quests, and more. Among the latest additions, we have a new Blue Moon Totem that summons a Blue Moon event on the server. Guess what? It not just starts an event but is also key to unlocking the new locations. So, for those curious, here are the steps to get the new Blue Moon totem in Fisch.

How to Get the Blue Moon Totem in Fisch

The Blue Moon Totem can be found exclusively in Sea 2 in Fisch. In order to get here, you must first defeat the Cthulhu boss at Terrapin island and transport to the second sea. This spawns you on the Waveborne island, but you need to head to Lushgrove island to get the totem. Now, follow the steps below:

    • Head to these coordinates: X= 1133, Y= 105, = -560 to reach the Lushgrove island.
    • Now, take the path to the left of Shipwright NPC and walk behind the Angler hut.
    • Walk on the connecting bridge and climb the stones where you will locate a slanting bridge beside the Sporey Mom NPC sitting beside a small hut.
    • Then go up this bridge to find the Sea 2 Blue Moon bunker.
    • Take a right from here, and you will find the Blue Moon Totem at these coordinates: X= 1300, Y= 156, Z= -551.

Now comes the important part: the Blue Moon totem costs 500,000 E$ in Fisch. If you don’t have ample second sea money right now, fish in the Sea 2 Animals bestiary using the Free Spirit rod, and try to catch the Octophant. Alternatively, redeem the latest Fisch codes to grab some easy cash and baits.

How Blue Moon Totem Works in Fisch

Do note that the Blue Moon Totem can be used to open both the Sea 1 and Sea 2 Blue Moon bunkers at the Lushgrove and Snowcap Island, respectively. Furthermore, the condition required to open these secret bunkers is a Clear Winter Night. You can check out the bestiaries for both new locations right here:

The bunker at Lushgrove island lies close to the Totem location (coordinates: X= 1320, Y= 156, Z= -570), while the bunker at Snowcap island can be found on the first level of the island at these coordinates: X= 2704, Y= 188, Z= 2554.

So that’s how easy it is to get the Blue Moon totem in Fisch. Do you have enough cash to purchase this expensive totem? Let us know in the comments below!

  • OnePlus Nord CE5 tipped to launch with massive 7100mAh battery

Recent rumours claim that the upcoming OnePlus Nord CE5 mobile phone will come with a large 7100mAh battery. This is a 29% increase over its predecessor, the Nord CE4. SmartPrix reports that the CE5 will be positioned as a long-lasting, mid-range device. The Nord CE4 launched with a 5500mAh battery, which was already a notable figure for the segment. However, with the jump to 7100mAh, the CE5 could appeal to users looking for extended screen-on time

Codenamed “Honda”, but chip details remain unclear

The internal codename of this device is “Honda”. However, the chip to power this mid-range Android phone remains under wraps. From the rumours so far, OnePlus may equip the phone with either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor or MediaTek’s Dimensity 8400. Both chips target the upper end of the mid-range segment.

The Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 emphasizes AI processing and good graphics, while the Dimensity 8400 focuses more on power efficiency and thermal performance. Either way, the Nord CE5 will be an upgrade over its predecessor.

UFS 3.1 storage likely to return

In terms of storage, the OnePlus Nord CE5 will retain the UFS 3.1 standard used in the CE4. This implies that while the CE5 may focus heavily on battery and power upgrades, storage speed will remain consistent. UFS 3.1 ensures faster read/write speeds compared to eMMC storage. It also contributes to smoother app launches and system performance. At the moment, there is no information regarding the RAM and total storage of this device. However, like other models, OnePlus will have different variants with multiple price tags.

    Launch timeline still unclear

OnePlus has not yet confirmed the existence of the Nord CE5. There is also no official launch date for this device. This means that all we have are just rumours and should be treated as such. However, with early leaks already appearing, a mid-2025 launch seems likely.

  • Trump’s China tariffs risk ‘irreversible’ harm to many U.S. businesses

The Trump administration’s decision to impose 145% tariffs on Chinese imports is sending shockwaves through global supply chains, as U.S. companies across industries cancel orders, abandon freight, and brace for widespread disruptions. While a narrow exemption was granted to technology products like the iPhone, PCs, and chips, the vast majority of businesses are facing mounting costs and operational paralysis.

“Almost everything is on hold as it relates to China business,” said Alan Baer, CEO of OL USA. The uncertainty surrounding the tariffs has led to a spike in abandoned freight and canceled bookings, especially in sectors like furniture, toys, apparel, footwear, and sports equipment.

Logistics in limbo: Freight processing and bonded storage

In response to the new tariffs, shippers are using tricks like bonded storage, slow shipping, and trade zones to avoid the higher costs. These let goods enter the U.S. without paying fees right away. While on the high sea, some even go an extra mile to repackage or relabel the goods to push back the duty costs.

Maersk, a top shipping firm, said tariffs will force big changes in U.S. routes. The company said this will trigger a “massive restructuring of all liner services to North America.” They also warned clients that fewer orders and possible fees on China-made ships would cause delays for months.

“And it will take months to sort out the mess, with congestion and freight rate spikes for months to come,” Maersk stated in a client update.

The unclear customs rules are making the crisis worse. Port workers say they often do not know about abandoned goods, and rules differ. Under the New York Terminal Conference Agreement, if goods stay for over 30 days, the port can sell them to pay for late fees. Who is to blame depends on the shipping terms. If the sender does not send the Bill of Lading to the buyer, then the sender is at fault.

“The current circumstances are unprecedented,” said Karsten Kildahl, chief commercial officer at A.P. Moller-Maersk.

    U.S China Chinese imports

    What happens to abandoned cargo

Shippers often send a “letter of abandonment” to U.S. Customs, allowing for the sale or auction of cargo. The money covers costs like storage, and if there is any extra, it goes to the port. Some cargo goes to storage sites; some stays for sale. Firms like FR8 Auctions, JS Cargo, and Merchandise USA buy left goods and sell them in stores or online.

However, the U.S. tariffs on Chinese imports is quite sad, mostly for small brands, many of whom cannot absorb the unpredictable and elevated import costs.

“With prohibitively high tariff levels on U.S. imports from China, many companies have no choice but to cancel orders,” said Stephen Lamar, CEO of the American Apparel & Footwear Association. “That is not a risk or burden small business can sustain.”

He warned that the volatility will lead to immediate lost sales and product shortages. “An extension of the trade war pause to U.S. imports from China is needed now before the damage is irreversible,” Lamar added.

Shift to Southeast Asia not a silver bullet

Some firms are attempting to move production to Vietnam or India, but the transition is slow and costly, especially for complex manufacturing.

“Higher-margin and more technical goods, such as electronics, machinery, medical equipment, and pharmaceuticals cannot easily move sourcing,” said Alan Murphy, CEO of Sea-Intelligence. He noted these producers had been reviewing component sourcing and drawing down inventories but now face impossible timelines.

“The biggest concern here is a complete uncertainty of the actual end-game of the Trump administration,” Murphy said. “If the administration is actually pursuing a goal of U.S. reindustrialization, then the long-term plan for tariffs has to be clear.”

He criticized the “Yo-yo tactic of changing tariff rates on a daily basis,” calling it destabilizing for businesses and investors alike.

Perhaps the greatest challenge is the lack of a clear policy direction. Murphy said no Chinese-based producers his firm spoke with are considering relocating to the U.S., in part due to policy unpredictability.

For now, many shippers are taking a “wait and see” approach, according to Maersk. The company said clients across its global network are holding inventory levels low while seeking flexibility — a fragile position as the trade war drags on with no resolution in sight.

  • Former Nintendo employees discuss how price increases for the Switch 2 could be considered but there still may be hope

Nintendo recently unveiled a bunch of details surrounding the Switch 2 during their latest Nintendo Direct presentation. It was during the livestream where we learned that the Switch 2 was set to be launched on June 5, 2025. The hybrid device was originally to become available for preorder starting on April 9, 2025.

Of course, it turned out to be an interesting decision on Nintendo’s part for them to not reveal the price for the Switch 2 or any of its game library during the showcase. Fans had to do some sleuthing, but it was soon established that the Switch 2 was being set at the retail price of $449.99 while certain games, such as Mario Kart World, were to be sold at $79.99.

Needless to say, this caused quite the backlash from the gaming community. During the Nintendo Treehouse events that showcased the many revealed games and features of the Switch 2, fans spent hours upon hours spamming phrases such as “Drop The Price” and “#DropThePrice” into the chat.

“Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 in the U.S. will not start April 9, 2025 in order to assess the potential impact of tariffs and evolving market conditions.”

As one might have expected, Nintendo chose not to make a direct statement concerning the controversy. Former Nintendo employees Kit and Krysta speculated that the public relations team was probably scrambling to figure out a way to turn the situation around.

Fortune was not favoring Nintendo as United States President Donald J. Trump announced tariffs on other countries, including Vietnam which is where Nintendo has been transitioning the manufacturing of their Switch and Switch 2 units for a number of years now.

Due to this, Nintendo was forced to announce a delay on the Switch 2 preorder date as they needed time to “assess the potential impact of tariffs and evolving market conditions.” Despite this, the Switch 2 is still currently set to be launched on June 5, 2025.

This presented a particularly problematic implication for consumers. The $449.99 figure for the Switch 2 did not previously take into account the potential for tariffs despite many believing already that this was a factor.

Put simply, there’s a possibility that the price for the Switch 2 could rise even higher, which could prove to be catastrophic for the public perception of Nintendo. Indeed, this puts Nintendo in a tough spot.

In one of their recent podcasts, Kit and Krysta, based on their own experiences and knowledge accrued from working at Nintendo, outlined a number of scenarios that could play out from here.

A certain scenario sees Nintendo passing part of the costs associated with the tariffs on to the consumer. Of course, Nintendo probably won’t want to pass 100% of the cost to the consumer like this, especially considering their current predicament, but this would ultimately result in a price increase for the Switch 2.

On the other hand, Nintendo does actually have options that most other companies don’t have access to due to their deep pockets. As outlined in the podcast, Nintendo is currently sitting on somewhere between 10 to 15 billion dollars.

Notably, the Switch 2’s predecessor, the Switch, is known to be the third best-selling gaming device as it has thus far pushed 150.86 million units worldwide since its release back in 2017. Games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate have sold 67.35 million, 47.44 million, and 35.88 million units respectively, all while maintaining their full price tags.

Indeed, Nintendo is noted as being the richest company in Japan. Technically speaking, they can maintain the current price of the Switch 2, essentially selling the console at a loss, while potentially regaining some goodwill back with the gaming community.

By announcing that they are prepared to sell the Switch 2 at a loss, Nintendo could essentially kill two birds with one stone. All of a sudden, that $449.99 price tag could be perceived with a little less bitterness from the consumers.

There’s a disastrous scenario that Kit and Krysta also talk about that could see the Switch 2 getting delayed specifically in the United States (or maybe even all of North America) while Nintendo considers potential strategies and get a better feel of what could happen in the future.

However, this strategy could prove to be especially risky since North America tends to be Nintendo’s biggest market. Doing this could really damper the Switch 2’s early sales figures.

Just recently, Donald Trump announced a 90-day pause on most new “reciprocal tariffs.” Still, Nintendo has not yet revealed the new date in which the Switch 2 will become available for preorder after the initial delay.

We’ll just have to keep an eye out to find out what Nintendo ultimately decides. Although there are plenty that would like for Nintendo to “drop the price” before the launch of their new hybrid console, I think it’s fair to say that possibility feels especially unlikely at the moment.

The fishes in the Sea 2 Blue Moon bestiary are easy to catch and don’t require any superior rods or equipment. That said, follow the tips below to complete the Sea 2 Blue Moon bestiary in the easiest way possible.

    1. Best Rods for Blue Moon Bestiary

The best fishing rods I recommend using here are the Free Spirit Rod, the Great Dreamer Rod, or the Azure of Lagoon Rod. The Free Spirit and Azure of Lagoon rods have an impressive stabbing passive that can increase the progress speed while reeling in the fishes.

Whereas the Great Dreamer Rod can grant you free fishes from the Bestiary at regular intervals. So, you can catch all of them in no time. While you are here, consider checking out the best Fisch rods to know about the most powerful rods in your price range.

    2. Best Baits for Blue Moon Bestiary

Coming to baits, consider using the ones that increase your rod’s lure speed or resilience if you are after the secret fish. Since most rods in the second sea are weak in this particular aspect, baits can help you bridge the gap.

There are baits like Seaweed, Coral, and Lushrooms that are best for increasing Lure without adversely affecting other stats. Furthermore, use the specific baits that the Blue Moon Sea 2 fishes prefer if you are finding it difficult to catch them.

    3. Use the Best Enchants for Blue Moon Beastiary

The fishing rods we talked about earlier are well-balanced in most aspects, except for lure speed. Hence, it’s favorable to enchant the Free Spirit Rod and Azure of Lagoon Rod with Hasty. We’ve explained all Fisch enchants and how to enchant rods in dedicated guides here.

Since the Great Dreamer Rod has decent lure speed, you can consider applying Quality or Steady enchant on it. However, it will be best if you apply the Blessed Song enchant to further boost the progress speed by 40%.

    4. Best Rod, Bait, and Enchant Combo

Now, as mentioned above, these are a few options to choose from. However, I highly suggest using the Great Dreamer Rod with Steady enchant. Plus, use Coral or Lushroom as bait to get that extra lure speed.

Although this is what I prefer, there might be a different combination that works for you. So don’t hesitate to try something new to complete the Sea 2 Blue Moon bestiary, and enjoy the Fisch Blue Moon update with your friends.

  • How much a ‘Made in the USA’ iPhone could really cost and why

The idea of assembling iPhones entirely in the United States has once again surfaced following the Trump administration’s defense of “reciprocal tariffs.” The White House claims the country has the workforce and resources to manufacture iPhones domestically. However, analysts familiar with Apple’s operations argue that while American-made iPhones are not entirely impossible, such a move would be prohibitively expensive and logistically complex and

Apple currently produces more than 80% of its devices in China through contractors like Foxconn. Shifting even part of that vast production ecosystem to the U.S. would require significant time. It will also require large investments and policy stability—but there is no guarantee for any of these

Big cost jumps predicted for a U.S.-made iPhone

One of the primary concerns for American-made iPhones is cost. Labor expenses in the U.S. are far higher than in China, where Foxconn workers reportedly earned around $3.63 per hour during the iPhone 16 ramp-up. In contrast, the minimum wage in California is $16.50 per hour.

According to Bank of America Securities analyst Wamsi Mohan, this wage gap alone could raise iPhone 16 Pro prices by 25%, bringing the current $1,199 model up to around $1,500.

“While it may be possible to move final assembly to the U.S., moving the entire iPhone supply chain would be a much bigger undertaking and would likely take many years, if even possible,” Mohan wrote.

Wedbush analyst Dan Ives offered an even steeper estimate, pegging the cost of a fully U.S.-made iPhone at $3,500. He calculated that Apple would need to invest $30 billion over three years just to shift 10% of its supply chain to the U.S.

Tariffs and supply chain complexity add to the challenge

Beyond labor costs, Apple would face tariffs on most parts unless it could secure waivers. Components like the display, sourced from South Korea, and the processor, made by TSMC in Taiwan, are central to iPhone production. Apple’s dependence on global suppliers is a key factor in its pricing and supply strategy.

If Trump’s tariffs fully go into effect, a U.S.-made iPhone 16 Pro Max could increase in price by up to 91%, Mohan noted.

Skill shortages hinder U.S. production capacity

Even if cost were not a concern, Apple would still face structural limitations in the U.S. workforce. Apple CEO Tim Cook has previously pointed to a shortage of skilled labor—specifically, tooling engineers—as a significant barrier to domestic production.

“There aren’t enough tooling engineers in the U.S.,” Cook said in 2017. “The reason is because of the quantity of skill in one location, and the type of skill it is.” He added that a meeting of tooling engineers in China could fill “multiple football fields,” whereas in the U.S., it would be hard to fill even one.

Foxconn’s failed U.S. expansion casts a long shadow

Apple’s top supplier, Foxconn, attempted to establish a major manufacturing presence in Wisconsin following a 2017 announcement by Trump of a $10 billion investment. The plant was expected to create 13,000 jobs. Ultimately, it produced none of Apple’s core products, pivoting to face mask production during the pandemic. As of now, it only has about 1,454 jobs, and the facility is not even 100% ready.

Apple’s earlier expansion into Brazil also failed to fully localize iPhone production. Despite a $12 billion plant, it still had to import most components from Asia. In 2015, Brazilian-made iPhones cost nearly double those made in China.

Incremental domestic production is more realistic

While mass-producing iPhones in the U.S. may not be viable, analysts say Apple might pursue limited manufacturing runs for accessories or niche products. This strategy mirrors the company’s 2019 move to build the Mac Pro in Austin, Texas, after securing tariff exemptions.

    Apple China

“Given we now know that the Trump administration is willing to negotiate, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Apple commit to some small-volume production in the US (HomePod? AirTags?),” wrote Morgan Stanley analyst Erik Woodring.

Trump’s administration has praised Apple’s U.S. spending, including its $500 billion investment plan and the production of some AI server components in Houston. The Arizona plant by chipmaker TSMC, now making small batches of advanced semiconductors for Apple, represents one of the few successful examples of shifting key production steps to the U.S.

A patriotic iPhone, but at a high price

Despite pressure from Washington, experts remain skeptical about an all-American iPhone. “I don’t think that’s a thing,” said Needham’s Laura Martin. Jeff Fieldhack of Counterpoint Research added: “It’s just not a reality that on the time frame of imposing tariffs that this is going to shift manufacturing here. It’s pie in the sky.”

As the debate continues, Apple has chosen diplomacy over defiance. But unless the cost and skill barriers change dramatically, a red, white, and blue iPhone may remain a political dream rather than a retail product.
