  • How to Set Up MCP Servers in Claude on Windows and Mac

The Model Context Protocol (MCP), developed by Anthropic, is an open standard that allows AI models to communicate with external data sources. MCP has a lot of potential as it can go beyond the chatbot interface and perform actions across platforms and services.

So, in this tutorial, I have explained the steps to set up MCP Servers in Claude on Windows and macOS devices. In addition, I have shared two examples showcasing how Model Context Protocol servers work in this guide.

Install Node.js and Claude Desktop App

    • First and foremost, download Node.js and install it on your Windows PC or Mac.
    • It’s a straightforward process. Download the setup file and install the program.
    • After that, open Terminal and run the below command to check the installation.
    node --version

If you get a version number as output, you are good to go. Next, install the Claude desktop app from their website and sign in with your account. You don’t need a paid account to use MCP in Claude.

Configure Claude AI to Use MCP Servers

    • Launch the Claude desktop app and click on the hamburger menu.
    • Next, click on File -> Settings in the Claude app.
    • Next, move to the ” Developer” tab and click on “Edit Config”.
    • This will take you to the folder where the JSON file is present.
edit config json file in claude
    • Now, open the “claude_desktop_config.json” file using your choice of code editor. I am using Notepad++ to edit the file.
    claude desktop json file
    • For this guide, I am demonstrating the simple Filesystem MCP Server, which can read and write files on your local computer using Claude.
    • Click on this link and scroll down to the NPX section. Now, copy the code.
mcp code for local file system
    • Switch to the JSON file, delete everything in it, and paste the code in its entirety.
    • Now, paste the directory path that you want to manage with Claude. For example, I have only added a single path of the “test” folder, which is located on my Desktop.
    • Make sure to replace back slashes with forward slashes (/) in the folder path. Now, save the JSON file.
    mcp code for local filesystem
    • Next, open the Task Manager on Windows or Activity Monitor on macOS and end all tasks for the Claude app.
claude desktop with mcp server running

Now, open the Claude Desktop app, and you should see hammer and connector icons. This indicates that your MCP server is ready in Claude.

Run MCP Servers in Claude on Windows and Mac

Once the MCP Server is up and running, you can start using it in Claude. The best part is that you can reference your folders and files in the prompt using natural and descriptive language. Claude understands the prompt perfectly and performs actions on your local computer using MCP.

    • I asked Claude to show me what is inside the directory, and it correctly located the “test” folder and listed the text file.
    • Next, I asked Claude to show the content of the file, and again, it extracted the content from the text file successfully.
using mcp server in claude to interact with local files
    • After that, I prompted Claude to add some new text to the file, and it was done without any errors.
using mcp in claude to modify files in windows
    • To play more with MCP servers, I set up the Twitter MCP Server on my PC using X’s API and asked Claude to post a tweet on X, and again, Claude did it, thanks to MCP.
using mcp in claude to post tweets
    • You can take a look at the tweet below.
    • Lastly, I asked Claude to show me what Sam Altman is hyping on X, and it analyzed Altman’s timeline and gave me a great overview.
asking mcp in claude to analyze sam altman's twitter

So, from managing your local files and folders to connecting to external services, MCP can do it all. I am genuinely excited about the Model Context Protocol as it can automate many tedious workflows. For example, if you have a bulk of files on your computer, you can connect the MCP server and use Claude’s intelligent AI model to analyze, categorize, and organize them into different folders.

There is also an Excel MCP Server that can analyze spreadsheets, create graphs, make modifications to tables, and more. I expect Microsoft will likely bring first-party MCP support to Copilot AI in the coming days, which could revolutionize personal computing as we know it.

  • Where Does The Last Of Us Season 2 Take Place? All Filming Locations Discussed

The Last of Us Season 2 is now streaming on HBO Max, and fans are thrilled to see Ellie and Joel back on their screens. The new season introduces several new characters and even more dangerous infected. However, one thing remains absolutely the same in the second season – its locations. Just like in the first season, the locations featured in Season 2 are absolutely stunning. And if you are wondering where TLOU Season 2 was filmed, here are all the confirmed locations.

Real-Life Filming Locations of The Last of Us Season 2

The Last of Us Part 2 video game was mainly set in Seattle and Jackson, but Season 2 wasn’t shot in the U.S. Instead, the entire season was shot in Canada.

The creators have managed to successfully replicate the visual appeal of Seattle and Jackson to keep in line with the source material. In fact, in the first season of The Last of Us, Alberta, Canada, was used as the setting of Jackson, Wyoming. So, season 2 of the series returned to Alberta to maintain consistency with the locations of Season 1.

At the same time, TLOU Season 2 also moved toward British Columbia, where the showrunners replicated the landscape of Seattle. The season was filmed across different locations and backdrops, including several mountain tops and lush green forests in British Columbia. That being said, here’s a breakdown of each location in the second season:

    Vancouver

Image Credit: Warner Bros. Discovery (via Pressroom/Liane Hentscher/HBO)

A major portion of The Last of Us Season 2 was filmed in Vancouver, specifically the Downtown area. However, in the series, Vancouver serves as Seattle, Washington. The urban infrastructure and nature made it easier for the filmmakers to replicate Seattle. In fact, it was in Vancouver where the infected scene with Ellie and Dina was filmed.

    Nanaimo

Nanaimo is also in British Columbia, and a variety of scenes were filmed in this location. Interestingly, this particular location was used to replicate Capitol Hill. It’s the same location where Ellie will go through several human enemies and their guard dogs.

Season 1 of The Last of Us was filmed mainly around Alberta, Canada. This location represented Jackson, Wyoming, where the story of the first game is set. While Season 2 explores different filming locations to match the locations featured in TLOU Part 2, it also returns to the filming locations of Part 1.

    Alberta, Canada

Locations like Calgary, Canmore, and Edmonton will be featured in the upcoming season of TLOU. Scenes like Abby finding her dead father or Ellie confronting Joel outside of the Fireflies HQ are shot in Alberta, but the central portion of Season 2’s events are filmed in British Columbia.

So, don’t expect to spend a long time in these filming locations with Season 2. Alberta was a crucial location for the story in the first part, but The Last of US Season 2 will only return to this location through flashbacks.

  • Mai Shiranui was the 2nd most popular character in Street Fighter 6’s most recent stats

There’s been a lot of debate in terms of how strong the latest DLC character, Mai Shiranui, is in Street Fighter 6. She’s definitely seen a surge in results as of late, showing up twice in the top 16 of a major event.

Adding further fuel to the discussion, in Street Fighter 6’s latest official character usage stats, Mai showed up in the second spot for online ranked matches for players in the Platinum, Diamond and Master ranked categories.

In terms of ranked match win-loss records, these stats weren’t nearly as kind to Mai, placing her at 13th overall out of 25 characters, putting her in the middle of the pack.

However, there are a number of top end competitors who feel Mai is being heavily slept on, and the character has a tremendous amount of untapped ability that we haven’t seen yet at the highest levels of play consistently.

Generally, whenever pro players drop a top tier character who’s consistently placed high at events, they often have a good reason for doing so, and we’re seeing a number of pros giving Mai a shot in this window of time, and this is clearly transferring over to other portions of the player base.

It’s worth noting that Mai was even more popular the prior month, February 2025, which was when she was first made available as a playable character in Street Fighter 6.

Still, Mai is holding strong so far in the minds of players at the character select screen, and it’s going to be really interesting to see how much untapped potential she has as the game continues to evolve.

You can scope out the latest usage stats and character win-loss records on the official Street Fighter 6 website.

A recent bug was also discovered with Mai that’s exclusive to training mode and sees her generating a solar flare.

  • Who Is Dina, Ellie’s Love Interest, in The Last of Us Season 2?

The second season of The Last of Us TV series will introduce fans to many new characters who will have a significant impact on the sequel’s story. Among the new characters from Jackson Town, Dina will take the spotlight as Ellie’s love interest. If you wish to learn more about Dina’s character, you have come to the right place. So, continue reading to discover everything about Dina, including her actress, backstory, and more, in The Last of Us Part 2 video game and Season 2.

    Spoiler Warning:

This article contains major spoilers about Dina’s character in The Last of Us Part 2 game and season 2 of the TV show. Proceed with caution.

Who Is Dina in The Last of Us?

Image Credit: Naughty Dog (via PlayStation)

Dina is a key supporting character in The Last of Us Part 2 video game and TLOU Season 2. Dina worked as a patrol person in the community led by Maria in Jackson Town, Wyoming.

She met Ellie and became her friend after Joel brought the girl back to the town, having lied to her about the Fireflies. Dina used to be Jesse’s girlfriend, another member of the Jackson community, but they broke up right before the events of Part 2 kicked off.

Later, when there was a festive occasion in a church, Ellie and Dina danced together and exchanged a kiss, which marked the beautiful beginning of their relationship. Therefore, when Ellie goes on her retaliation mission to Seattle to avenge Joel’s death, Dina, her newfound love interest, accompanies her to help her exact revenge on Abby.

The second season is confirmed to only adapt the first half of The Last of Us Part 2 video game. So, we will spend most of our time with Ellie and Dina on their quest for revenge. While Bella Ramsey continues to play Ellie, Isabela Merced, who recently starred in Alien: Romulus, has joined the The Last of Us Season 2 cast to play Dina.

If you are wondering which actress lent her voice to Dina in the TLOU Part 2 game, it was done by Shannon Woodward. Shannon also did the motion capture work for Dina, while the character was modeled after the American actress Cascina Caradonna.

Dina’s Backstory in The Last of Us Video Game

Even in the game, we learn only a little about Dina’s past through her conversation with Ellie. She is estimated to have been born between 2015-2018, which also confirms that she was in her early 20s when she met Ellie. Dina lost her mother when she was just a kid, but fortunately, she had her elder sister, Talia, by her side. However, Talia was killed by an unknown character when she was raising Dina alone.

After losing her family, Dina traveled to Wyoming and discovered Maria’s community in Jackson Town. She joined this community sometime before Ellie and Joel rejoined and became one of their patrolmen. We expect HBO’s live-action adaptation to expand upon Dina’s origin story in TLOU Season 2.

What Happens to Dina in The Last of Us?

Isabela Merced as Dina in The Last of Us Part 2 and Season 2
Image Credit: Naughty Dog and HBO (via PlayStation and Warner Bros Discovery Press Room)

Dina joins Ellie on her quest for revenge after the two get into a relationship. Dina assists Ellie in taking down the members of the Washington Liberation Front (WLF) and continues to track down Abby. However, Dina begins to experience the signs of pregnancy during the payback mission. It is then revealed that Dina is pregnant with Jesse’s child, so she remains at the abandoned theatre for the rest of the story.

Dina helps treat Ellie’s wounds whenever she can but eventually loses Jesse after Abby shoots him in the end. When Ellie and Abby engage in a brutal fight, Dina helps her partner but is easily overwhelmed by Lev and Abby. Fortunately, Lev saved Dina’s life by stopping Abby when the latter tried to kill her in the heat of the moment.

After surviving this, Ellie and Dina move to a farm in Wyoming, and the couple begins to raise the newborn kid in The Last of Us 2. However, when Tommy reminds Ellie about unfinished business with Abby, she leaves her newfound family even when Dina asks her to give up on this mission.

At the end of The Last of Us Part 2, it is implied that Dina and her kid have left the farm and moved back to Jackson Town. So, we are left without answers for Dina’s current status and whether she will continue to patch things up with Ellie.

So, Dina survives in the end but loses her partner who used to be so hellbent on this revenge quest. We have to wait and see if the showrunners are going to make any changes to Dina’s character arc in The Last of Us TV series. In the meantime, let us know your thoughts about Dina in the comments below.

  • Former Evo champion Knee calls Tekken 8 Season 2 ‘selfish’ and lays out 9 issues he has with the game now

The Tekken 8 Season 2 update hasn’t exactly been well received by players considering the Steam reviews tanked to “Overwhelmingly Negative” after the patch, and that goes for the top competitors as well.

Three-time Evo Champion DRX|Knee recently wrote and showed a lot about what he doesn’t like about Tekken 8 Season 2 in particular including a detailed list of his current problems with the game.

The longtime Tekken star shared some of his match footage of Jin (and Panda) absolutely stomping on the opponents with some added context.

Knee claims it’s not about being aggressive in Season 2, but rather Tekken is now “just a selfish game” with heavily plus on block moves that can’t be reacted to that leads to 50/50 setups and nothing to really do on defense.

He also posted some Lars match footage of him constantly on the offense stating he doesn’t “want to play this way, but this is the best” thing to be doing.

Following that, Knee wrote up a long list of his specific issues in the game now coming out to nine different areas in particular.

Combos are too long, mind games are simplified, removed legacy knowledge, chip damage and heat moves are among his gripes with the current state of things.

Bandai Namco has acknowledged the player feedback and are looking over what they can do about this apparent disconnect between the developers and the playerbase.

How much Tekken 8 can and will be changed in the coming moths remains to be seen as well as how many players are going to stick around casually and competitively.

We’ve included Knee’s full list of issues with Tekken 8 now below to check out.

This is my opinion about S2

I would be happy if this helpful to them.

Honestly, I think the developer’s idea should be different from the player. However, I think it would be nice to accept some feedback.
but I don’t care if they don’t listen. Tekken8 is already a negative review.

    1. Combo too long and high damage

In the past, the combo was simple and short, but it wasn’t fun? no it was easy to teach beginners. But now, I have to teach them the tailspin, but it’s also difficult. And the tailspin is so strong that it goes in twice, and it makes the combo long. How about tailspin only once?

    2. Simple Mind Games

For example Kazuya, he’s main moves was weak to left ss, so high level skill is holding the axis and catch left ss, but now you don’t care left ss, They added mid safe homing. Simple concepts in this way seem simple to look at, and they’re less fun. Fighting games are boring
If they’re easy. They get bored of it early

Too many mid safe homing has been added.

It would be nice if the player had a sidestep option.

    3. Heat move

Now the heat is unbalanced. Someone recover the heat bar, someone too much heat bar, someone have too much strong move in the heat. There are a lot of moves with less risk, but the rewards are big.

Just because it’s a heat move

I hope it’s consistent. heat recovery is unfair.

    4. Removed legacy

The legacy knowledge has been removed. air moves can’t be low parry or hold move can’t parry.

    There are more besides this.

So we have no way to tactic with certain situations.

Did it have to be removed?

    5. Too much connect stance and stance heat burst

It’s making the game complicated and ridiculous.

    It’s looks unnatural.

Dev team think players would like it?

Rather, it looks unnatural. It’s an excessive change.

I think it brings a limitation of style because I only use it.

    6. Too long range and too much plus frame

Characters with weapons have a very long range.

    It needs to be adjusted.

Plus frame is too much when block. +7 +9 There are a lot of things like this. These things only produce selfish play. People got a lot of stress.

    7. too many 50/50 situation

There are a lot of 50/50 situations after the heat engager or block +7 or +9 frame

Heat engager is damage to opponent and recovery health bar. I think this is a big reward. But is there a reason to give it +17? I think it’s an excessive reward. It’s too forced

Mid between low start frame of 50/50 is often the same. or 1~2 frame difference

It is too difficult to block this in a forced situation.

    8. Chip Damage

Many players said they don’t like it. but it’s unlikely to change. To be honest, if T8 don’t have a chip damage, we can hold out even if it’s forced.

So hopefully they would reduce the chip damage even a little bit. Honestly, the chip damage is worse than 2D games.

    9. The direction in which a beginner or rookie beats a veteran
I don’t know why they make it with this direction, but I don’t think it’s gamely good.

Veterans have invested a lot of time and put a lot of effort into it. So it’s a fun game to play when you increase your knowledge and learn your skills.

Actually I don’t know why a veteran should have a high probability of losing to Beginner or Rookie. Isn’t that contradictory?

  • How Old Is Abby In The Last Of Us 2?

Abby Anderson is one of the playable characters in The Last of Us Part 2 video game by Naughty Dogs. The TV show fans aren’t aware of Abby yet as she will debut in the upcoming TLOU second season. However, gamers who have completed the second installment know about Abby and her redemption arc in the game. Ellie and Abby fall into almost the same age bracket, according to the creators. But if you’re wondering what Abby’s exact age is in The Last of Us Part 2 game and in TLOU Season 2, find it out here in our guide.

    Spoiler Warning:

This post includes spoilers for The Last of Us Part 2 video game and TLOU Season 2, so proceed with caution.

Abby Anderson’s Age In the Last of Us Part 2 Game

Image Credit: Naughty Dogs (via in-game screenshot by Ajithkumar/Beebom)

While Ellie’s actual age during the events of The Last of Us Part 2 (review) is revealed, there is no mention of Abby’s age in the game. Neil Druckmann, one of the creators, in a podcast with Kinda Funny Games stated that Abby is nearly the same age as Joel thinks when he saves her. So, it was estimated that Abby must be in her 20s over the course of the game.

When “The Art of the Last of Us Part II” was released in 2020, Abby’s character description in the art book revealed her age as she is in her early 20s in the game. Therefore, Abby must have been around 15 or 16 years old when her father was mercilessly killed by Joel.

So, this confirms that Abby is a bit older than Ellie. I say this because Ellie’s age in The Last of Us 2 is confirmed to be 19 years old.

Abby Anderson’s Age In The Last of Us TV Show

The Last of Us Part 1 was an extraordinary adaptation by HBO, and it quickly rose as a fan-favorite show for gamers and new audiences. Thus, fans who have played the game have been waiting for the cast announcement for Abby. To our surprise, Kaitlin Dever, the 28-year-old American actress who was previously rumored to be cast as Ellie, was selected to portray Abby’s role as part of The Last of Us Season 2 cast.

Wondering who plays Abby in The Last of Us Part 2 video game? We have the answer for you.

At the time of writing, Abby’s age hasn’t been revealed in The Last of Us Season 2. As the showrunners have been changing a few things from the game and expanding on it further, the main characters’ ages could be altered in the show for a better context.

So, we will update this section once we get to learn more about Abby’s character in the upcoming episodes of the TV Show. In the meantime, what do you think about Abby’s character in the TLOU series? Let us know in the comments below.

It was none other than Laura Bailey, the Los Angeles voice actress, who portrayed Abby in The Last of Us Part 2 through voice and motion capture. At this point, if you are wondering about

  • Today’s Wordle Hints, Answer for #1395 on April 14, 2025

NYT Wordle is a satisfying and tricky test of vocabulary and logic that challenges players to guess a new five-letter word every day. However, things can get a little too challenging at times, and that probably explains why you’re here. So, if you don’t want to break your word-guessing streak or get too frustrated, take a look at today’s Wordle hints and answer for puzzle #1395 for April 14, 2025, down below!

    How to Play Wordle

Wordle is a word puzzle game by The New York Times. You are given six attempts to guess a five-letter word. The letters are highlighted in Yellow, Green, and Grey when you input a word. Yellow denotes that the letter appears in today’s Wordle answer, but it’s not at the right spot. Meanwhile, when a letter turns green, it means you have guessed the right letter in the right position. At last, a grey letter means the letter is not part of today’s answer.

While it may seem that winning at Wordle is easy, it is difficult to get that pesky five-letter word right. To help you out, here are some quick tips on how to play Wordle:

    • Open with a strong word – Using the right Wordle starting words rich with multiple vowels and consonants is important. While you can take a look at our dedicated guide, starting words like AISLE, SALTY, and DINER are my go-to choices.
    • Pay attention to colors – Keep track of the yellow, green, and grayed-out letters to eliminate incorrect positions and letters. To make every guess count, avoid accidentally repeating letters that have already been eliminated.
    • Isolate the vowels – There can be days when your usual starting words don’t help much. In that case, try to test the remaining vowels by using different words.
    • Repeating letters is good – Don’t be afraid of repeating letters as history is proof that there are chances the Wordle answer will have one or two letters that repeat themselves.
    • Use the Wordlebot – As described above, NYT’s Wordlebot is an intuitive bot that analyzes your responses and compares them against itself. Instilling some healthy competition can help you improve your own Wordle guessing and see what you could have done better.

  • Diaphone creates a tier list ranking the best fighting games for 2025

We’re only about a third of the way through 2025, but it’s shaping up to be an interesting time for fighting game fans. To highlight “the state of fighting games in 2025,” Diaphone recently created a tier list that rates many of the fighters that are relevant today.

Each game is rated based on the following: competition, online experience, ongoing support, gameplay, and casual appeal. As such, Street Fighter 6 and Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising are both seated at the very top of Diaphone’s list in the S tier category.

Diaphone mentions multiple times how Tekken 8 also would’ve made S tier if not for the Season 2 patch. Indeed, the playerbase is so unhappy with the game right now that the Tekken 8 development team are supposedly scrambling to create an “emergency patch” to fix the game.

As such, Tekken 8 is rated as being an A tier alongside Guilty Gear Strive, Mortal Kombat 1, Street Fighter 3: Third Strike, and Under Night In-Birth. Perhaps Tekken 8 can return to its rightful S tier status after the developers patch the game.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves and 2XKO are both slated to be released later this year. For now, we’re not sure how good these games will be, but they have the potential to be S tier should everything fall into place as they’re supposed to.

MultiVersus lands itself in the F tier group as the game is literally dying. The game held such promise for fans at the beginning, but everything seems to be falling apart as support will soon be ending.

Of course, it’s important to keep in mind that Diaphone recommends that everyone just play the games that they like, even if he personally rates them as being a “low tier” on this tier list. Check it all out below:
