As a fan of the Grand Theft Auto games, I have always loved the number of different locations we have gone through. Whether it is the neon-drenched Vice City or San Andreas’ pale and gritty setting, we have seen plenty of cities over the last 27 years in GTA games. With GTA 6 taking place in Leonida State and Vice City, we thought to sit down and revisit memory lane. So, join us for this ride as we go through all GTA game locations and list out every setting we loved.

Where Do All The GTA Games Take Place?

In the table below, we have mentioned all the base GTA games, their spin-offs, and locations. We have avoided DLCs for specific games in the same area as the base game. For instance, the GTA 3 games and GTA 3 DLCs take place in Liberty City.

Moreover, as of now, we only know that GTA 6 will take place in Leonida and that Vice City will play a major role. We will update the table as soon as we have more updates about the upcoming GTA sequel. Now, without further ado, let’s begin:

All Iconic GTA City Locations till GTA 6

If you notice all the Grand Theft Auto game locations and settings, most of them occur in some of the common iconic cities. Apart from the Anywhere City of GTA 2, all the locations take inspiration from a real-life city or state. Here are all the iconic city locations you see in Grand Theft Auto games:

1. Liberty City

You can tell Rockstar Games loves Liberty City by just glancing at our table and finding that six GTA games took place in Liberty City. Well, there can be one apparent reason; it is the interpretation of the real-life New York, and as we all know “In New York, you can be a new man.” With almost most of our protagonists from this coveted franchise wandering in the city, trying to achieve their dream goals, Liberty City maintains its iconic status.

It is situated in the fictional state of Liberty (a stand-in for New York State), and likely shares its state with parodies of other New York cities. Its capital status remains unconfirmed, mirroring New York City’s non-capital status in its real-world counterpart. New Guernsey, a location in the original GTA, parodied several New Jersey cities.

Later, Grand Theft Auto 4 featured Alderney, a state representing New Jersey but scaled to a borough-like size within the Liberty City metropolitan area, incorporating parodied New Jersey locales. Despite going through changes over the decades, the New York-inspired Grand Theft Auto location keeps its own identity.

2. San Andreas

My first impression of San Andreas city was this huge, gritty, warm-toned replica of the USA’s West Coast. But the game I played was not the debut for this iconic GTA city. San Andreas was initially introduced as the San Francisco, California, impersonation in the first GTA game.

However, in GTA: San Andreas, Rockstar added more locations to replicate the real-life states of California and Nevada. So, instead of a city, San Andreas represented more of the full state, which later introduced us to the city of Los Santos and Blaine County, where most of GTA 5 took place.

3. Vice City

Let us all be honest; do you call the city of Miami by its name anymore? Well, if you don’t, then Vice City has a major involvement in it. Rockstar Games not only replicated the city of Miami, Florida, but it also added every essence of the neon-drenched streets, the flair of the beaches, and the chaotic neighborhoods in Vice City.

Well, in the 2D Universe, Vice City replicates a city based in the Southeastern United States. However, things changed when Rockstar Games went all in with GTA: Vice City. It introduced Vice City as the representation of Miami, located in Florida. While we get everything about real-life Miami in this GTA location, there is no conclusive mention of the state to which Vice City belongs.

That might change with the GTA 6 map. In the GTA 6 first trailer, Rockstar Games showed us a glimpse of the Leonida State Police. This means that Vice City in GTA 6 will be part of a bigger state, surrounded by other cities and islands.

4. London

As you can see, it is literally in the name; London was introduced as a map in Grand Theft Auto: London 1969 and Grand Theft Auto: London 1961. While most GTA game locations take inspiration from and avoid using the original name, London was different.

Moreover, a Manchester multiplayer map was added later in the game. Hopefully, Rockstar Games does more GTA games based on locations outside of the U.S.

5. Anywhere City

Moving on from the real-life location inspirations, Rockstar did something different in GTA 2. The fictional setting of Grand Theft Auto 2 is Anywhere City, deliberately unnamed within the game. Set shortly after the original GTA, it lacks resemblance to any specific real-world location. With Anywhere City, Rockstar tried a different take on its original plans for the real location replicas.

The city is geographically divided into three distinct zones: Commercial, Residential, and Industrial. While initially featuring only roadways and footpaths, a light rail transit system was later added in the PC versions. Fortunately, Rockstar completely dropped this type of map after this edition.

National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett on Monday said the U.S. is not heading for a recession in 2025 and claimed the country has received “very good, amazing” trade deal offers from more than ten nations following a series of tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump.

“There is 100% not going to be a recession this year,” Hassett said in a Fox Business interview, rejecting concerns that Trump’s trade moves may damage the economy. He insisted the U.S. is benefiting from the new tariffs, with firms exploring reshoring options and consumers accelerating purchases of foreign goods in anticipation of further hikes. “So everything’s through the roof, anecdotally,” he added.

More than ten countries offer trade deals

Following steep tariffs announced earlier this month, Hassett said that more than ten countries have approached the U.S. with proposals for trade deals. “The one question that I have open in my mind is, should we go one at a time, or should we announce a bundle all at once?” he said.

President Trump, along with U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, is now reviewing the offers. The president’s tariff policy has sparked volatility in markets but also triggered diplomatic outreach from trading partners.

Hassett also addressed growing calls for investigations into possible insider trading related to Trump’s abrupt tariff reversal last week. Just hours after steep reciprocal tariffs took effect, Trump reduced them to a 10% flat rate for 90 days for all countries except China.

The move caused a major swing in the stock market, prompting Democrats to raise concerns. Some pointed to Trump’s Truth Social post hours before the announcement, where he wrote, “THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO BUY!!!”

“There was no insider trading at the White House,” Hassett said, adding that large market movements are always subject to routine scrutiny. “When there are big movements in markets, then there are people around town that investigate and make sure that nothing funny was happening. But I’m sure it’s not anything to do with the White House.”

Democrats call for SEC probe

Meanwhile, lawmakers, including Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., have called for congressional hearings. House Democrats also sent a letter to the Securities and Exchange Commission after reports of a spike in call option purchases just before the tariff pause.

Hassett’s remarks came as markets rebounded Monday following the tariff reduction and temporary exemption of electronics, though Trump later denied any exemptions had been granted.

It’s no secret that Harry Potter is coming back with a brand new HBO show, and even though details of this upcoming series are being kept under some serious wraps, news and scoops keep coming at us sooner or later. It is confirmed that Janet McTeer will play the role of Professor McGonagall in the upcoming Harry Potter TV series on HBO. It has also been confirmed that Luke Thallon has joined the Harry Potter TV Series cast in the role of Quirinus Quirrell.

Previously, this role of Minerva McGonagall was played by Maggie Smith in the original movies, which turned out to be her most memorable feat of acting talent. Meanwhile, Ian Hart played the role of Professor Quirrell in the movies

Later, McGonagall’s role was taken up by Fiona Glascott in Fantastic Beasts, and even though she put out a good performance, it was received with a lukewarm welcome by the fans.

So instead of guessing what an app does or reading through long reviews, you can get quick answers directly from Google with video examples.

Android System Intelligence is also getting smarter. With the version 23 update, it adds:

Bungie’s long-awaited extraction shooter has finally been unveiled, and it will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. While PlayStation and Xbox players will be stress-free about trying Marathon, PC players always have one question: Can your PC run it? Unlike most current-generation games, Marathon’s system requirements are relatively low.

Below, we have listed the minimum and recommended system requirements for Marathon. While the minimum is already mentioned on Marathon’s official support page, we have speculated the recommended PC specs from the information shared by testers. So, without further ado, check them out below!

• Operating System: Windows 11 64-bit (latest Service Pack)

The official Marathon alpha test specs sheet suggested that only 6 GB of storage was required for the testing. While there is no confirmation of the final size, we can estimate a file size. Since Destiny 2 requires 100+ GB of storage, we can speculate that Marathon’s install size will be closer to 50 GB.

So, if you have a good SSD, ensure you have 60 GB of storage space. We will update these numbers when Bungie officially announces the file size for Marathon.

Moreover, you will need a solid internet connection to download and play the game. Keep in mind that Bungie’s Marathon is a PVP extraction shooter. This means you must have constant connectivity to the internet. We suggest you use Ethernet for loss-free gameplay.

Although most modern games demand high-level system requirements, Marathon seems highly optimized. While you would expect alpha builds to be less optimized, Bungie shared a minimum PC requirements sheet that requires as little as 4 GB VRAM and 8 GB RAM. While we cannot estimate the performance, trusting Bungie usually doesn’t end badly.

The Realme GT7 will be launched in China on April 23rd. Naturally, the brand has been confirming some of its details to build the hype. According to Realme, the smartphone will challenge the “double crown” for performance and battery life under CNY 3,000 ($410). This is quite possible since the smartphone is confirmed with this huge battery capacity. It is also said to sport the latest MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset. MediaTek’s latest flagship SoC on steroids has been revealed this month and the first flagships with it are expected to launch soon. Alan Tudyk is an American actor who has entertained us with his brilliant performances in several films and television shows, such as Wonder Boys and Frasier. He has also voiced many Walt Disney characters in the most acclaimed projects, including Encanto, Ice Age, Frozen, and more. His recent vocal performance was featured in Millie Bobby Brown’s starrer The Electric State in the form of Cosmo.

Temuera Morrison as Chief Tui

Chef Tui is Moana’s protective father, who was extremely praised by the global fandom for the emotional depth he brings to the story. When he was young, his friend died by drowning in the ocean during a heavy storm, and that event left a permanent scar on Tui’s heart. So, he always opposed her daughter’s dream to explore the ocean. However, after witnessing Moana’s successful sail, he transformed into a proud father who would cheer for her daughter instead of becoming a hurdle in her path.

Temuera Morrison is a New Zealand actor who started his journey as an actor when he was 11 years old. His first film, Rangi’s Catch, was released in 1973, and since then, he has worked on several projects, the latest being Chief of War, which was released in 2024.

Jemaine Clement as Tamatoa

Tamatoa is Moana’s secondary antagonist, who harbors a narcissistic attitude. He entered the game as a troublemaker for Moana and Maui, as he had the latter’s shapeshifting hook. Well, he was a villain who was defeated by the heroine in the final moments, but he survived somehow. Despite that, he didn’t make a comeback in the second film.

Here’s again a New Zealand actor, Jemaine Clement, who contributed heavily to the success of Moana. He is popularly recognized for his humorous roles, specifically in Flight of the Conchords, which was released in 2007. Throughout the years, Clement has bombarded the industry with several iconic roles.

Khaleesi Lambert-Tsuda as Simea

Simea is the adorable younger daughter of Sina and Chief Tui. She enters the frame as a supporting character but doesn’t take the time to become a fan-favorite character. She loves and idolizes Moana and looks forward to becoming courageous like her. When Moana prepares to leave for the sail, Simea pleads to go with her. She brings an emotional weight to the sequel film that makes the franchise even more impactful.

Khaleesi Lambert-Tsuda is a Hawaiian actress who made her acting debut as Moana 2’s Simea.

Tofiga Fepulea’i as Nalo

Nalo is introduced as the main antagonist in Moana 2. He is a storm god who wants to isolate humanity, so he curses the people of Motufetu Island. He is basically the reason for Moana’s mission of reuniting the people of the ocean. He temporarily kills Moana in the film, but she gets resurrected as a demigoddess and pushes him towards his defeat. However, like Tamatoa, Nalo is also overpowered by our heroine but is not killed.

Tofiga Fepulea’i lends his voice to Nalo, and to be honest, no one else could’ve done it better. He is a New Zealand actor best known for his contributions to Laughing Samoans, the stand-up comedy duo.

Awhimai Fraser as Matangi

Matangi is more of a gray character who initially begins as an antagonist, but with the story’s progression, we learn the reasons behind her cruel acts. Nalo has controlled and isolated her for centuries, and that’s why, when Moana arrives, she joins forces with the heroine. She helps her in the fight against the storm god, and later doesn’t shy away from confronting him.
