  • Honkai Star Rail 3.2: Chirping Secret Treasure Mission Guide

The Chirping Secret Treasure mission is one of the world missions in ‘Dragonbone City’ Styxia of Amphoreus. This mission includes three separate puzzles, which can be quite tricky. The puzzles introduce a new time-stopping mechanic, making players use it to place the balls correctly on the marked area to unlock rewards. If you’re stuck on this mission, then go through this guide which includes solutions to the Chirping Secret Treasure mission in Honkai Star Rail.

How to Start Chirping Secret Treasure Mission in Honkai Star Rail?

The Chirping Secret Treasure Mission can be started by visiting the ‘Dragonbone City’ Styxia after completing the Trailblaze mission — Through the Petals in the Land of Repose. After you have completed the required mission, open the ‘Dragonbone City’ Styxia to find an exclamation mark indicating the quest start location.

Teleport to the Royal Palace Ruins and continue your way to the exclamation mark. Once you reach the exclamation point, a ball will roll at you once you run past it. That’s when Joyworm will speak with you. Go through all the dialogue options to start the quest.

Chirping Secret Treasure Room 1 Solution

    • Activate Oronyx’s enhanced prayer first and then hit all the ball holders present in the room.
    • One of the balls will fit into the marked floor, while the other one will roll away in the distance.
    • Use Oronyx’s prayer to roll the ball back, but when it reaches near the marked floor, use your character to hit the time-stopping module at the middle. This will stop time for the ball.
    • Now, roll the ball back and then hit the Space bar until it is on top of the marked floor to complete the puzzle.

Chirping Secret Treasure Room 2 Solution

    • In the second room, the first thing you will need to do is complete the Prophecy tablet puzzle nearby to activate the elevator. Use the GIF given below to complete the puzzle.

    • Next, activate Oronyx’s enhanced prayer and use the elevator at the back to head to the second floor.
    • Fix the bridge using Oronyx’s prayer and hit the ball holder on the other side. The ball will roll to the wall below, going over the marked area.
    • Head down again using the elevator and hit the other two ball holders to make them land on their designated marked area without issue.
    • Now, use Oronyx’s Prayer to roll back the first ball. Once it is above the marked area, hit the time stopper module at the middle to complete the puzzle.

Chirping Secret Treasure Room 3 Solution

    • First, head up to the second floor using the elevator and repair the bridge again. Hit the ball holder on the other side to make it fall and break the containers below.
    • Head back down and hit the other two ball holders. One of the balls will automatically slot in the marked area, while the other will roll away.
    • Now, activate Oronyx’s enhanced prayer and use it to rewind the ball farthest away until it reaches close to the middle time stopper. Now, hit the time stopper and stop the ball from rolling.
    • Now, use Oronyx’s miracle to slot the two balls onto the marked area to complete the puzzle.

So, that’s it. Now, you should be able to complete all three puzzles in the Chirping Secret Treasure mission in Honkai Star Rail. If you still are having trouble solving the puzzles, tell us your issue in the comments below, and we will try to help you out.

  • A First Look at Samsung’s One UI 8 Powered by Android 16

Samsung has started internal testing for One UI 8, which is based on Android 16. This comes after a messy rollout of One UI 7, which was built on Android 15. Many users faced delays and bugs with that version. Now, the company seems to be preparing for a smoother experience this time around.

Samsung Starts Testing One UI 8 Based on Android 16: Here’s What We Know

Google has been testing Android 16 for some time. The official release is expected before the end of June, which is earlier than usual. Samsung appears to be keeping pace by working on its own version of the new OS.

Leaked screenshots show an early build of One UI 8 running on the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold6. From what we’ve seen so far, the design looks very similar to One UI 7. Most of the big visual changes were already introduced in the previous version. One UI 8 focuses more on small improvements and performance upgrades.

Only a few visual tweaks are noticeable. Some changes appear in apps like the Gallery and File Manager. These updates are minor but show that Samsung is refining the user experience. More updates might be added in future test versions.

    Samsung One UI 8

One interesting feature is the Now Brief. It looks like this will be available even on older Samsung phones. That suggests Samsung wants to offer more useful features without forcing users to upgrade their devices.

Because there aren’t many big changes, Samsung might be able to release One UI 8 faster than it did with One UI 7. That’s good news for users who want quicker updates and fewer bugs.

Right now, One UI 8 is still in early testing. But the signs are promising. Samsung seems focused on improving speed, stability, and overall performance instead of redesigning everything again.

    Samsung One UI 8

If the company stays on track, we could see the official launch not long after Google releases Android 16. For now, users can look forward to a more polished and hopefully trouble-free update with One UI 8. More details will likely surface as testing continues. Stay tuned.

  • HONOR unveils Advanced AI tools and launches HONOR 400 Lite

At Google Cloud Next 2025, HONOR announced a stronger partnership with Google Cloud. Together, they introduced powerful AI features that are set to change how users interact with their devices.

One of the standout tools is AI Outpainting. This feature lets users expand their photos up to twice the original size. Powered by Google’s Imagen model, it allows for zooming out, rotating, and reframing images after they are taken. This means you no longer need to worry about perfect framing when snapping a photo. The AI fills in the background with realistic details, even in complex scenes like cityscapes or nature shots.

HONOR and Google Cloud Unveil Next-Gen AI Features at Cloud Next 2025

Another major highlight is AI Eraser. This tool removes unwanted objects from photos with just a few taps. It uses advanced AI to fill the empty space with content that looks natural and blends perfectly with the rest of the image. Google’s Imagen helps reduce errors and makes the edits look smooth and real.

HONOR is bringing these features to more users, not just flagship phone owners. The recently launched HONOR 400 Lite, now available in Europe, includes AI Outpainting, AI Eraser, and AI Upscale. AI Upscale enhances photo quality, even on lower-resolution images.

These updates are part of HONOR’s ALPHA PLAN, a bold vision to become a top global AI device company. HONOR’s partnership with Google Cloud gives it access to powerful AI tools and cloud infrastructure. This collaboration is helping HONOR create smart devices that offer more than just hardware—they offer intelligent, AI-driven experiences.

Also, looking to the future, HONOR revealed that a new AI-powered device will launch in May 2025. It will feature tools developed with Google’s Gemini AI and Veo, Google’s advanced video generation model. This new device will help users create lifelike videos and boost productivity with smarter office tools.

So, HONOR’s work with Google Cloud shows a strong focus on innovation. By blending on-device and cloud-based AI, they are building smartphones that adapt to users’ needs. The goal is clear: to make cutting-edge technology available to everyone and set a new standard for AI in mobile devices.

  • Is GTA 6 Coming to Nintendo Switch 2? Answered

GTA 6 is the very definition of a bona fide system seller, and all you need to do is look at the sales figures of its predecessor to see why. To date, GTA 5 has sold over 200 million units across multiple platforms. And all signs are pointing towards Rockstar’s upcoming title leapfrogging that astonishing figure. However, it’ll need to release on platforms beyond just the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S to reach that mark, leading to questions surrounding a potential release on Nintendo Switch 2. So, is GTA 6 coming to Nintendo Switch 2? Let’s break it down.

Is GTA 6 Coming to Nintendo Switch 2?

No, GTA 6 is not coming to Nintendo Switch 2. Rockstar has confirmed that PS5 and Xbox Series X/S will be the only platforms on which the game will be available. The devs have not shared any information on a GTA 6 PC release, let alone the Nintendo Switch 2.

Image Credit: Nintendo of America (via YouTube)

It’s worth noting that GTA games have historically skipped Nintendo platforms across almost every generation. The only exceptions to the rule were the remastered GTA Trilogy and GTA Chinatown Wars. The former brought updated versions of GTA 3, GTA Vice City, and GTA San Andreas to the Switch, while the latter was designed with handhelds in mind and arrived on the Nintendo DS.

Players have long assumed that the series’ absence has to do with the family-friendly demographic Nintendo consoles typically target. Needless to say, GTA is anything but PG. However, the more likely reason is the limited hardware capabilities of consoles like the Switch or the Wii U.

Is GTA 6 Next-Gen Only and Why?

    vice city beach closeup

Yes, as confirmed by Rockstar, GTA 6 will be a next-gen only release. Its next-gen only focus is hardly a surprise considering the studio has a reputation for upping the ante with each subsequent title.

Judging by the GTA 6 trailer one, GTA 6 is going to feature an unprecedented amount of NPC density and variety. The beachfront shot alone displayed 100s of NPCs, many of whom had different builds, body types, and facial models.

The only other title that attempted to flood the screen with so many pedestrians was Cyberpunk 2077. And we all know how poorly the ambitious RPG fared on last-gen consoles. On top of this, GTA 6 will undoubtedly come with all sorts of engine upgrades. Some of these, like the enhanced lighting model, were teased in the trailer.

Considering that the Switch 2 is technically a next-gen console, Rockstar might consider porting the game to the handheld in the future. But at the moment, nothing has been confirmed.

That wraps up everything we know about GTA 6 coming to Nintendo Switch 2. If you hope to see the highly anticipated game releases on the Switch 2, let us know in the comments down below.

  • All Dead Rails Night Events: How to Survive Each Night

Besides the barren desert surrounding Dead Rails, there are many more terrors in store. A big problem in Dead Rails is nightfall, a phenomenon that brings a lot of dangers. Each night, there will be a specific indication, either from the moon or the sky, stating what kind of event is currently occurring on the server. These will test your survival skills regarding how well you can prepare yourself and take on the enemies coming after you. Want to know what all they are so you can survive them? Keep on reading to learn about all Dead Rails night events and how to win them all.

List of All Night Events in Dead Rails

In Dead Rails, the train that takes you to Mexico has a clock on the left side of the control panel. If you notice closely, you’ll know that the sun rises at 5 AM and the day starts at 6 AM, leading to the despawning of any enemies that appeared during the night.

Furthermore, you’ll notice that although daylight stays till 9 PM, night ultimately falls from 10 PM, and enemies start spawning an hour later. As the night falls, any one of the following events will occur at random:

    1. Cloudy Night

Image Credit: Dead Rails/Roblox (via Dead Rails Wiki)

During a cloudy night, the moon is not visible, and clouds start covering the whole sky. During this time, your train will be flooded with fast zombies with low health. However, do note that they are large in numbers. If you don’t move to a safe place quickly, these zombies might soon outnumber your team and result in an unexpected death.

Taking on the enemies during this time is not really difficult if you are well covered from all sides. Placing the thin newspapers to create an obstruction can help to keep the zombies at bay. Alternatively, you can climb on top of the train and pick them off one by one using your best guns.

    2. Full Moon Night

    Full Moon Night Dead Rails
Image Credit: Dead Rails/Roblox (screenshot by Bipradeep Biswas/Beebom)

The Full Moon night is one of the rarest and most dangerous night events in Dead Rails. This is because this event spawns Werewolves. These are fast-moving creatures and can hit like a truck. Their attacks reduce over 50% of your HP when you aren’t wearing any armor.

Due to their huge health bars and strength, it can be really hard to deal with these creatures even when your team has good gear. As such, I recommend that once you spot their red glowing eyes, run like hell and don’t look back. However, if you must engage, grab a powerful weapon like a Shotgun or a Rifle and shoot them off.

    3. Blood Moon Night

    Blood Moon Night Dead Rails
Image Credit: Dead Rails/Roblox (screenshot by Bipradeep Biswas/Beebom)

The Blood Moon night in Dead Rails is unique in itself since the whole sky turns to a beautiful shade of crimson. However, don’t get lost looking at the pretty moon since Vampires will start spawning out of nowhere.

Vampires are some of the most annoying monsters in Dead Rails that randomly appear near you. Moreover, there’s a slight chance that killing them will randomly make their bodies disappear, and no corpse will be left behind to claim or use for fuel.

The best way to tackle these is to safely keep your train running and reach the next checkpoint. Otherwise, the Vampires can spawn near your train, easily climb up, and eradicate your team.

    4. Stormy Night

    Stormy Night Dead Rails
Image Credit: Dead Rails/Roblox (screenshot by Bipradeep Biswas/Beebom)

The Stormy Night can be easily identified by the characteristic greenish tint all around the sky. This one might seem the safest night to stay out in Dead Rails; however, beware of the lightning strikes. Although no enemies will spawn during this night, the lightning strikes have a slight chance of hitting you and completely reducing your health.

Surviving this night is relatively easier if you find a place with a roof above your head. It might seem tempting to go outside for loot or do your general tasks, but you must have equipped a copper rod or be of the Priest class. Both can provide you with immunity from Lightning Strikes.

Finally, this is the only night when you can reload the Electrocutioner Gun, which will help with the Nikola Tesla boss in the end.

How to Survive Any Night in Dead Rails

The best way to survive any night in Dead Rails is to stay at the checkpoints that appear every 10,000 meters. This is because the automatic turrets will kill any enemies spawning during the night if they try to approach you inside this safe zone. However, you must note that the turrets have 75 bullets, which might be sufficient for a few hours rather than a single night.

Therefore, keep going towards the end, keep checking that you have sufficient fuel, upgrade the train’s barricade, and get enough ammo to last until the final safe zone.

Alternatively, if your fuel tank is empty, you can try heading inside a hut in an abandoned town and barricading it well enough not to let any monsters enter. This way, you can wait a night or two and gather up some corpses to help you reach the next safe zone.

That’s all about the night events in Dead Rails and their significance in the game. Were these tips helpful during your run? Let us know in the comments below!

  • Dead Rails Classes Tier List (April 2025)

Classes in Dead Rails can provide the players with unique abilities and boosts throughout the journey to Mexico or the end of the run. While there are 18 unique classes, not all of them might be worth using up your precious Treasury Bonds for. And as a new player, we know how confusing it can be to find the right choice. Thankfully for you, we have brought about a handy Dead Rails Class Tier list that will help you understand which class to pick and when. So with that, let’s begin.

Dead Rails Class Tier List: Overview

Image Credit: Dead Rails/Tiermaker (edited by Bipradeep Biswas/Beebom)

All of the 18 classes in Dead Rails spawn with a few items or have certain buffs or debuffs according to their character. Some of these are really useful while playing in teams or solo, and therefore lie at the very top of the list, the S-Tier. While others might be completely trash, and in my experience, these are not worth spending your hard-earned bonds.

The A-tier classes are good in their own ways, whereas the B-tier classes are really average, and their usability can vary depending on the player using them. Furthermore, the C and D-tier classes are some of the worst ones in the game. However, you may buy them in your beginner stages.

    S-Tier

The S-Tier classes are the best ones available in Dead Rails, providing you with lots of materials and boosts as you start the run. However, they’ll cost you well, so make sure you have enough Treasury Bonds to begin with. Here are the best S-Tier classes in Dead Rails:

Class Name Starting Items Passive Buffs/Debuffs Cost
    Cowboy 2x Revolver Ammo
    1x Saddle
    1x Shovel
    1x Revolver
    Nothing 50
    Vampire 1x Shovel
    1x Vampire Knife
Increased movement speed and melee damage.
    But damage from direct sunlight
    75
High Roller 1x Shovel Sell Items at 1.5x Price
10x chances of getting struck by lightning
    50
    Survivalist 1 Shovel
    1 Tomahawk
Lower your health, more damage you inflict 75

Out of the Dead Rails classes above, we definitely reccomend getting the Cowboy as he comes armed with a stack of weapons to fight the undead.

    A-Tier

The classes in the A-Tier are also good and can provide you with great starting items and passives. However, compared to the S-Tier classes, they seemed to be lacking while surviving in the barren lands, and are not flexible enough to be used for solo runs. The Alamo is among the best in the A-Tier and can substantially support your team during the runs.

Class Name Starting Items Passive Buffs/Debuffs Cost
    The Alamo 1x Helmet
    3x Metal Sheet
    3x Barbed Wire
    1x Shovel
    Nothing 50
Werewolf 1x Shovel 2x Movement Speed, Damage, and Health at Night.
    0.9x stats during the Day.
    50
Conductor 2x Coal Drives train at a faster speed 50

    B-Tier

Coming to the B-Tier, these classes are quite average in nature, with both pros that we can’t ignore and cons that are big enough not to include them in higher tiers. The most prominent class in this tier is the Miner. With so little cost, you get some efficient passives that can help in both solo and team runs. With that said, here are the rest of the classes.

Class Name Starting Items Passive Buffs/Debuffs Cost
    Priest 2x Crucifix
    2x Holy Water
    1x Shovel
    Immunity from Lightning Strikes 75
Packmaster 1x Shovel Spawns 3 Wolves at starting.
Can tame any Wolf that bites you.
    35
    Miner 1x Mining Helmet
    2x Coal
    1x Pickaxe
Mines Ores with 2 hits. 15

    C-Tier

In the C-Tier, we have a few beginner-friendly classes like Doctor and the Horse that might be of some help at the early stages of the game. However, as you progress, far better classes are available. So, it will be wise to save the bonds now, team up with trustworthy people, and farm the Treasury Bonds.

Class Name Starting Items Passive Buffs/Debuffs Cost
Necromancer 1x Shovel 25% to reanimate enemies when killed with Melee weapon.
Costs 10 HP for each reincarnation.
    35
    Arsonist 1x Shovel
    4x Molotov
    Deals 2x Fire Damage 20
Horse 1x Shovel Faster Movement Speed.
    No Health Regeneration
Free. Can be obtained by completing Horsing Around Quest. (currently unobtainable)
    Doctor 1x Shovel
    2x Bandage
    2x Snake Oil
Can Revive Teammates at the cost of half of your health 15

    D-Tier

Finally, the D-Tier consists of some of the worst classes in the game, including Zombie and Ironclad. A couple of them are expensive and don’t provide any great passives. While others are not worth spending your bonds at all.

Class Name Starting Items Passive Buffs/Debuffs Cost
Zombie 1x Shovel Can regenerate health by eating dead bodies.
    Less detected by enemies.
Cannot use bandages or Snake Oil
    75
Musician 1x Banjo Can slowly heal your teammates by playing the Banjo 15
None 1x Shovel Nothing Free. Starter Class
    Ironclad 1x Helmet
    1x Chestplate
    1x Left Shoulder Armor
    1x Right Shoulder Armor
    1x Shovel
    10% Reduced Movement Speed 75

And that ends our Dead Rails classes tier list. Provided you follow the order above, you’ll have a much better idea of what to spend on. So, which Dead Rails class are you going for? Let us know in the comments below!

  • Will GTA 6 Release on PC in 2026?

PC gamers, let’s talk about the elephant in the room, or the souped-up sports car we’re all itching to drive: Grand Theft Auto 6! Rockstar Games finally dropped the mic (and a trailer!), confirming its arrival on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in Fall 2025. And while we are happy for console players, we are more worried about PC players. And that brings the question, will GTA 6 release on PC in 2026? Well, let’s dive in together and try to find out.

What is the Speculated Release Date for GTA 6 PC?

Rockstar has already confirmed that GTA 6 will be released on consoles first. After the initial announcement, in an earnings call, Take-Two confirmed that GTA 6 will not be released on PC right away. If we’ve learned anything from Rockstar’s past grand escapades, it’s that patience is a virtue, especially for PC players. Think back to the launch of Grand Theft Auto 5. Consoles started the party in September 2013, but we PC fans had to wait until April 2015—a good year and a half!

Similar circumstances led to Red Dead Redemption 2’s October 2018 console release and November 2019 desktop debut. This pattern appears to be a well-planned strategy rather than a random occurrence. A massive player base of GTA exists on the PC platform. Rockstar will not leave its community high and dry. Since PC is not mentioned as a supported platform for GTA 6 at launch, desktop gamers will simply have to wait.

Rockstar Games’ History of PC Ports

How long, do you ask? Well, we thought the same and did the calculation ourselves. Below, you can find how long it took for GTA 5, Red Dead Redemption 2, and GTA IV to come out on PC. Based on this, we have speculated the release date for GTA 6 on PC below.

Game Initial Release Date PC Release Date
    GTA 3 October 22, 2001
    Max Payne 2 October 14, 2003
    GTA Vice City October 29, 2002 May 1, 2003
GTA San Andreas 26 October, 2004
    GTA 4 April 29, 2008 April 29, 2008
    Red Dead Redemption May 18, 2010 October 29, 2024
    Max Payne 3 May 15, 2012 May 29, 2012
    GTA 5 November 18, 2014 April 14, 2015
    Red Dead Redemption 2 October 26, 2018 November 5, 2019

Personally, I don’t think Rockstar will take too long to make GTA 6 for PC. Going by the past figures, we can see that PC gamers had to wait a minimum of 9 months for the GTA 4 release on PC. Speaking of GTA 5, the game was first made for PS3. Then, it was made for PS4, and then the PC version came almost two years later.

The latest example (Red Dead Redemption 2) is a good one for reference. The PC version came after 13 months. Considering the above timelines for Rockstar’s PC ports, we should assume that we won’t hear anything about GTA 6 for PC until early 2026, at the very least.

Vice city banner in GTA VI

Still, a whole new console generation is not a concerning factor after GTA 6 releases on PS5 (maybe PS5 Pro) and Xbox Series X/S. Hence, by my speculation, I think we can expect the steady development of Grand Theft Auto VI for PC shortly after Rockstar releases the game on console platforms. But what do the industry insights say?

GTA 6 Might Launch in Early 2026 on PC

The grapevine has been buzzing while Rockstar is keeping their PC plans close to their chest. Notably, a VP from Corsair Gaming, Ronald van Veen, casually dropped the nugget that their understanding points towards an early 2026 PC release during an earnings call. Now, while there is no official confirmation from Rockstar themselves, this kind of insider intel often carries weight. It certainly adds fuel to the 2026 fire!

Moreover, Rockstar could work hard to optimize the next-gen GTA Online experience. By the way, Rockstar acquired RP modders as employees earlier last year to elevate future GTA Online experiences. In the end, the PC version will be quite refined too. We could even see GTA VI for PC come with exciting new features similar to the last game. There is a long wait for GTA 6 to release on the PC platform.

Is GTA 6 Coming to PC or Not?

Given the significant presence of PC gaming in the market as of 2024, Rockstar Games cannot ignore the considerable demand within the industry. However, many PC gamers doubt whether the game will eventually be released on their platform. While there might be some speculation, the game will ultimately come to PC, although not when GTA 6 is initially launched. This has even been suggested by the CEO of Take-Two Interactive.

Take-Two Interactive’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, has openly acknowledged this trend of PC gaming. While he hasn’t spilled the beans on a simultaneous release (much to our collective sigh), his recognition of the PC audience strongly suggests that a PC version of GTA 6 isn’t a matter of ‘if,’ but rather ‘when.’ And given their historical playbook and the industry whispers, 2026 looks like the most probable timeframe.

So, will GTA 6 grace our PCs in 2026? Rockstar’s official announcement will confirm it. The historical release pattern, logical development considerations, and even some intriguing industry chatter all point toward a 2026 arrival.

The wait might feel like navigating Los Santos traffic during rush hour, but the potential payoff – enhanced graphics, unlocked frame rates, and the glorious world of PC mods (maybe a GTA 6 metaverse) – will undoubtedly be worth it. Keep those rigs ready; Vice City might be hitting our screens sooner than you think!

What do you think of GTA 6 getting a release window of 2026 on PC? Are you getting a console, or have you already checked the GTA 6 PC requirements? Do tell us in the comments.

  • Tekken 8 Season 2 emergency update patch details revealed, coming this week

Tekken 8’s Season 2 update has not been well received by players, and it looks like the developers are moving quickly to try and make some more changes.

Bandai Namco has now released their balance adjustment policy detailing the upcoming Version 2.00.02 patch notes coming this week.

Tekken 8’s push to be even more aggressive led to the game’s review rating on Steam to drop to “Overwhelmingly Negative” while players all over the world have lambasted the update including a three-time Evo champion calling Season 2 “selfish.”

For starters, Bamco is apparently increasing the max health value of presumably the whole cast to help combat the high-damage combos all over the place in the game now.

Next, some characters will be receiving nerfs to some of their “overly high-reward moves” with more adjustments planned for future updates too.

Third, they’re toning down the Heat system to change damage scaling, frame advantage and chip damage.

The next update is scheduled for mid-May, which will apparently include nerfing air combo damage and taking another crack at Heat Burst.

The actual patch notes are set to come this Wednesday, April 16, at around 6:30 p.m. PT. with the update itself releasing around 7 p.m. PT.

You can check out the full balance adjustments policy here or on the official Tekken website.

    Story is developing…

The development team acknowledges that following the Season 2 (Ver.2.00) update, the overall game balance has shifted too heavily toward offense.

We sincerely apologize that the actual balance changes did not align with the development intentions and policy previously communicated to players.

We deeply regret not being able to address the improvements and adjustments that the community had hoped for.

Moving forward, we are committed to distinguishing between issues that can be addressed quickly, and issues that require more time and community feedback for proper review.

We will implement a step-by-step update process to improve the game experience.

In this upcoming update, we will fix known issues and begin a balance review based on the following policy (The patch notes for Ver.2.00.02 are scheduled to be released shortly before the update, around 10:30 AM [JST] on Thursday, April 17.)

    (1) Increased the maximum health value to help mitigate situations where matches are decided through overly one-sided momentum.

In light of the current damage environment trending toward inflation—driven by offense-heavy game balance and increased aerial combo damage—the maximum health value will be increased. This adjustment is intended to ease situations where matches are too easily decided by one-sided momentum.

    (2) Gradual Adjustments to Overly High-Reward Moves

This update addresses the overall inflation of attack strength and combo damage by implementing adjustments that can be done quickly to moves that provide excessive reward.
We recognize this as a game-wide issue rather than a problem limited to specific characters, and we plan to continue reviewing and tuning these aspects progressively.

Examples of adjustments included in this update:

    – Balance adjustments to high-performance moves that can repeatedly create advantageous situations and lead to one-sided gameplay.

    – Adjustments to moves with disproportionately high reward compared to their risk, ensuring fairer risk-reward balance.

    (3) Rebalancing the Offensive and Defensive Aspects of the Heat System

Currently, the benefits gained by the attacking player through the Heat System are considered too great.

The following adjustments have been made:

    – Revised damage scaling when using Heat Dash to suppress combo damage inflation.

    – Adjusted frame advantage on hit for Heat Engagers, maintaining benefits for the attacker while allowing the defender more opportunities to respond.

Additionally, adjustments have been made to chip damage as follows:

    – Reduced additional chip damage during Heat.

    – Changed the system so that moves which already deal chip damage do not receive extra chip damage while in Heat state.

*Future updates will also include adjustments to the amount of chip damage dealt by individual moves.

    【Future Balance Adjustments】

In the next update planned for mid-May, adjustments will include reducing air combo damage and reevaluating the performance of Heat Burst.

Additionally, we will continue to review issues that could not be addressed in this update, such as:

    – moves that consistently create advantageous situations leading to one-sided matches

    – attacks with disproportionately high rewards relative to their risk.

Moving forward, we remain committed to incorporating player feedback and will focus on resolving cases of overly dominant character performance and interactions that result in one-sided gameplay.

How to Play Connections: Tips & Tricks to Solve the Puzzle

Given the fact you’re here, chances are that you already know how to play NYT Connections. As you might be able to tell by now, Connections by The New York Times is a word association game where players sort out 16 random words into four categories by finding a common ‘connection.’ This can be anything from a common sound to a deeper meaning.

That said, if you’re still confused, here are the best tips on how to play NYT Connections:

    • Simplicity is key: Connections will often throw ambiguous words at you. While it’s easy to get caught up in the details, the answer almost always lies in the simplest connections possible. So, instead of dear and deer being connected through a hunter-prey dynamic, they most likely connect because of a similar sound.
    • Watch those guesses: A key thing to note is Connections only gives you four chances in 24 hours for a single puzzle. As such, we advise not being trigger happy and carefully weighing in your words before pressing that submit button.
    • Shuffle Away: While a bit tricky, the sneaky Connections editor deliberately puts the first word placement as a misdirection. So the one golden tip here is to press that Shuffle button before you go on solving it.

If you’re still unsure how to proceed, check out our dedicated how-to-play NYT Connections guide for all the help you need.

We hope you had similar luck as I did for today’s game. If not, please let us know in the comments below!
