  • Motorola’s Moto Book 60 Laptop Arrives in Stunning Colors; Moto Pad 60 Pro Tags Along

Motorola has introduced two new smartphones in India and a stunning laptop! Yes, it’s not every day we see Motorola computers, but Lenovo is well-known in this regard with its traditional laptops. It seems that the popular computing brand now wants to try with Motorola’s name in this field. Two devices are reaching India today: the Moto Pad 60 Pro tablet and the Moto Book 60 laptop. The devices follow the Pantone color design that the company’s phones bring, and both are capable of mid-range specifications and prices.

    Moto Pad 60 Pro Specifications

The Moto Pad 60 Pro arrives with a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 SoC and 8 GB or 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM. The storage is 128 GB or 256 GB. Motorola also added a microSD slot for up to 1 TB of extra memory. The device flaunts a large 12.7-inch LTPS LCD with up to 144 Hz refresh rate. The resolution is 2,944 x 1,840 pixels. The tablet comes with support for a Moto Pen Pro stylus. It comes with a set included in the retail box. It offers quad JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos support and brings AI tools with Google integration, including Circle to Search.

The battery of the Moto Pad 60 Pro has a 10,200 mAh battery capacity and supports 45W wired charging. The smartphone has a 13 MP main camera and an 8 MP front-facing shooter for video calls. The specifications are anything but new because this device is a rebadged Lenovo Idea Tab Pad Pro. Curiously, it was launched last month in India in a sober Gray color. If you prefer a Motorola logo in a fancy green or blue color, then it’s your turn.

    Moto Book 60

Motorola currently sells the Moto Pad 60 Pro only in Pantone Bronze Green color. It costs INR 26,999 ($315 / €280) for the base model with 8GB/128 GB. The INR 29,999 ($350/310) option brings 12GB/256 GB. The sale will begin next Wednesday, April 23, with the tablet being available on Flipkart, Motorola India’s online store, and select offline retailers.

    Moto Book 60

The Moto Book 60 certainly will be a piece that collectors won’t miss. It’s a Windows laptop exclusively launched in India in Bronze Green or Wedgewood color options. The device has an Intel Core 5 or an Intel Core 7 processor. Both are paired with 16 GB of RAM and 512 or 1 TB of Internal Storage. The device packs a 14-inch OLED screen with 2.8K resolution. There are stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. Motorola equipped the laptop with a 60Wh battery that supports 65W charging over USB-C.

    Moto Book 60

The Moto Book 60 has one version with 16GB RAM, 512GB storage, and an Intel Core 5 processor. It sells for INR 66,990 ($785). There is also a variant with Intel Core 7 that costs about INR 74,990 ($875) and one with 1 TB of storage that sells for INR 78,990 ($925). Just like the tablet, the new laptop will sell through Flipkart from April 23. It will also be available in some offline stores and Motorola India website.

  • How to Get Bronze Bars in RuneScape Dragonwilds

In RuneScape Dragonwilds, Bronze Bars are a fundamental resource for crafting mid-game items. While seemingly basic, efficiently obtaining and utilizing them for higher-tier equipment requires understanding the process. This guide will walk you through the simple steps to get Bronze Bars in RuneScape Dragonwilds easily.

Items Required to Get Bronze Bars in RuneScape Dragonwilds

Before you can make Bronze Bars in RuneScape Dragonwilds, you must gather Copper, Charcoal, and Tin first. You will find them scattered in the Fractured Plains. However, I suggest you stick to the western side, where you will find higher ground. You can leverage these to sweep enemies before jumping down for the ores.

Image Credit: Jagex (screenshot by Ishan Adhikary/Beebom)

To mine the Copper and Tin ore, you will need a Bone Pickaxe. Now, find the orange Copper ore nodes or the slightly darker-toned Tin ore nodes. Once you find the ore nodes, either mine the nodes using the pickaxe or use the Rocksplosion spell in RuneScape Dragonwilds. This will get you all the ores faster. You can make Charcoal by using wood in the Kiln.

    • Copper ore in RuneScape Dragonwilds
    • Tin ore in RuneScape Dragonwilds

How to Make Bronze Bars in RuneScape Dragonwilds

Now that you have the essential resources, follow the further steps below to learn how to get Bronze Bars in RuneScape Dragonwilds:

    1. Build a Furnace

After you have the Copper and Tin ores, first, build a furnace to smelt them. To do so, click the B button to bring up the build menu. Now, select the Crafting tab and then select “Furnace“. You will need 24 Stone, 8 Clay, 4 Charcoal, 10 Fire Rune, and 8 Vault Shard to build the Furnace in RuneScape Dragonwilds.

Image Credit: Jagex (screenshot by Ishan Adhikary/Beebom)

While most of these items are easy to find, when you visit all the vaults, make sure you grab the shards with the cores. It’s better to build a fast travel point in front of the vault for regular visits.

    2. Smelt Bronze Bars

Once you have built a furnace, look toward it and click the interact (E) button. Drag the Copper and Tin into the boxes in the upper row. Finally, drag Charcoal into the fuel box at the bottom and click the play button to start smelting. Three Copper and Tin each will give you two Bronze Bars.

    • Craft button in Furnace
    • Making Bronze Bars in RuneScape Dragonwilds

And that is how you can get Bronze Bars in RuneScape Dragonwilds. Once you have the bars, use them in the Smithing Anvil to get more potent weapons. Have you started making the Bronze Bars to craft high-tier weapons? Do tell us in the comments below.

  • Foxconn Now Assembles the iPhone 16e in Brazil

Foxconn, one of Apple’s long-time partners in the iPhone manufacturing, has been making rounds to adjust iPhone assembly. The company has been expanding outside China for years with plants in India, Vietnam, and Brazil. The move started when Apple realized that it couldn’t be too reliant on China manufacturing due to the tensions between the US and China. Now that things are escalating in an unprecedented manner, Foxconn seems to be making some adjustments. A recent rumor suggested that Apple was looking to expand iPhone manufacturing in Brazil. Now, a new report indicates that the iPhone 16e units sold in Brazil are manufactured locally at the Foxconn factory in Jundiaí, São Paulo.

The Text Reads: Manufactured in Brazil @MacMagazine

As per a report from MacMagazine, the retail boxes of the iPhone 16e sold in Brazil feature an “Assembled in Brazil – Brazilian Industry” tag. The devices come with the A3409 model number and MD1R4BR/A identifier. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Foxconn has adopted a local manufacturer in Brazil. The giant has been assembling the iPhone SE 2020, as well as the vanilla iPhone 13, 14, 15, and 16 models in the country. In light of the recent move adopted by  Trump’s administration, the so-called Liberation Day tariffs, Apple wants to expand its presence in countries with more favorable tariffs, and Brazil’s 10% import tax (for manufacturers) is one of the lowest.

    iPhone 16e specs recap

For those unaware, the iPhone 16e arrives as a blend of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 16 in design and features. In fact, the device arrives as the new iPhone SE, but dropping the letter S. The device has a 6.1-inch OLED display and a notch for the TrueDepth Camera system. It has an aluminum frame with square-off edges, a Ceramic Shield display, a single-lens rear camera, and an A18 chip with support for Apple Intelligence. The storage starts at 128 GB and goes up to 512 GB. It has a 6.1-inch Super Retina OLED XDR display and Ceramic Shield technology.

    iPhone 16e

The iPhone 16e costs about $599, which is $200 less than the iPhone 16. It is $170 more than the prior iPhone SE, which was priced at $429. The device stands as Apple’s cheapest iPhone, however, it’s not quite as affordable as it was with the iPhone SE.

  • Street Fighter competitor Gamerbee responds to report that he’s the oldest sponsored eSports player in the world

46 years old and still going strong though he’s not the only one

There’s a prevailing myth that eSports are a young person’s career where you’re considered over the hill once you reach your mid 20’s, but that’s not really the case when it comes to the fighting game community.

Bruce “FW|GamerBee” Hsiang made a few waves this week when he announced he had signed on with the big Taiwanese eSports team Flash Wolves, and some were surprised by his age.

Dexerto wrote up a report following the reveal claiming that Gamerbee is the oldest signed eSports competitor in the world in any genre at 46 years old, which is technically true but also not in a way.

The former Evo finalist responded to the story stating that Japanese Street Fighter pro FAV|Sako is right up there with him.

“Thanks @Dexerto for the post, actually @sakonoko from Japan also 46 years old(I am only 1 day older than him so not big difference), we both still fighting for our passion, imagine how funny if we met each other in the tournament now lol.”

Gamerbee has been competing in fighting games for almost three decades now, but he really rose to prominence when he reached the grand finals at Evo 2015 in Street Fighter 4 when he was already 36 years old.

While he’s not found the same level of success in Street Fighter 6 yet, Hsiang has not lost his will and love for competing and remains one of Taiwain’s best players after all this time.

Gamerbee is not the only one battling the passage of time to stay in the game either considering Street Fighter 3: Third Strike sensation Hayao is 42 and still able to do the splits.

BST|Daigo Umehara is also 43 years old and recently announced he’s dedicating himself full time to compete at a high level again and put his streaming career in the backseat for a while.

Momochi is 39, Kazunoko is 37 now, GO1 is 37, CR|Dogura is 37, MOV is 39 and Rohto|Tokido is 39 too, and they’re all showing no signs of slowing down.

There’s plenty more examples looking around the FGC to show that at least in our genre, age really is just a number.

  • Today’s Wordle Hints, Answer for #1399 on April 18, 2025

NYT Wordle is a satisfying and tricky test of vocabulary and logic that challenges players to guess a new five-letter word every day. However, things can get a little too challenging at times, and that probably explains why you’re here. So, if you don’t want to break your word-guessing streak or get too frustrated, take a look at today’s Wordle hints and answer for puzzle #1399 for April 18, 2025, down below!

    How to Play Wordle

Wordle is a word puzzle game by The New York Times. You are given six attempts to guess a five-letter word. The letters are highlighted in Yellow, Green, and Grey when you input a word. Yellow denotes that the letter appears in today’s Wordle answer, but it’s not at the right spot. Meanwhile, when a letter turns green, it means you have guessed the right letter in the right position. At last, a grey letter means the letter is not part of today’s answer.

While it may seem that winning at Wordle is easy, it is difficult to get that pesky five-letter word right. To help you out, here are some quick tips on how to play Wordle:

    • Open with a strong word – Using the right Wordle starting words rich with multiple vowels and consonants is important. While you can take a look at our dedicated guide, starting words like AISLE, SALTY, and DINER are my go-to choices.
    • Pay attention to colors – Keep track of the yellow, green, and grayed-out letters to eliminate incorrect positions and letters. To make every guess count, avoid accidentally repeating letters that have already been eliminated.
    • Isolate the vowels – There can be days when your usual starting words don’t help much. In that case, try to test the remaining vowels by using different words.
    • Repeating letters is good – Don’t be afraid of repeating letters as history is proof that there are chances the Wordle answer will have one or two letters that repeat themselves.
    • Use the Wordlebot – As described above, NYT’s Wordlebot is an intuitive bot that analyzes your responses and compares them against itself. Instilling some healthy competition can help you improve your own Wordle guessing and see what you could have done better.

Meaning of Dirge — A dirge is a slow, sad song or piece of music that expresses mourning for someone who has died. It’s often performed at funerals.

Today’s Wordle was quite challenging, and I found myself cornered, big time. SALTY and POUCH didn’t lead anywhere today, and DINER was an absolute hero, having a “D” and an “I” in green to offer. Additionally, I got an “E” and an “R” in yellow. So, I tried “DIRTY” next and got a green “R”. I still had no idea where this was going, so I tried “DIRER” next, which confirmed that there were no double letters in the answer. After trying several combinations, DIRGE turned out to be the Wordle answer for the day.

The answers for today’s Strands were pretty straightforward. I started off with the first set of theme words – DOMINO and CHECKER. Once I spotted GAME, solcing the Spangram and the rest of theme words was an easy affair.

What is NYT Strands Spangram and How Does It Work?

Every NYT Strands puzzle consists of a unique word or phrase that’s called the Spangram. This word or set of words will run the length of two opposite sides of the grid. One thing to note here is that, a Spangram doesn’t necessarily have to originate or end at the edge of the grid.

In its essence, the Spangram is kind of like a bigger hint that sums up today’s Strands theme in just a word or two. Since it spans across two sides of the puzzle, solving it early helps you figure out the rest of the theme words and vice versa.

Tips and Tricks for Mastering NYT Strands Puzzles

Solving an NYT Strands puzzle successfully isn’t that hard in itself, but in some cases, the approach might not be as straightforward as it looks. So, here are simple tips and tricks that we suggest you follow to crack the theme words and Spangram for Strands puzzles:

    • Always start at the corners: No two puzzles are the same. But the chances of the Spangram extending to a diagonal form are quite low. So, the best strategy is to find and decrypt relevant words that are at the corners of the grid.
    • Don’t be ashamed to get hints: Sometimes, a theme word could be all you need to solve the entire puzzle. If that requires getting a hint using non-theme words, then that’s the first thing you should do. After all, the point is to have fun and figure this out, like all of us.
    • Think both literally and figuratively: Not all themes may land you in the same sense of thought. Some puzzles may welcome more clever answers that may convey something totally different from their actual meaning.
    • Aim for the Spangram: The Spangram is what splits the Strands board in half. So, figuring it out will help you cross out other potential approaches for a theme. Deciphering even half of the Spangram can get you close to the rest of the answers.

How to Play Connections: Tips & Tricks to Solve the Puzzle

Given the fact you’re here, chances are that you already know how to play NYT Connections. As you might be able to tell by now, Connections by The New York Times is a word association game where players sort out 16 random words into four categories by finding a common ‘connection.’ This can be anything from a common sound to a deeper meaning.

That said, if you’re still confused, here are the best tips on how to play NYT Connections:

    • Simplicity is key: Connections will often throw ambiguous words at you. While it’s easy to get caught up in the details, the answer almost always lies in the simplest connections possible. So, instead of dear and deer being connected through a hunter-prey dynamic, they most likely connect because of a similar sound.
    • Watch those guesses: A key thing to note is Connections only gives you four chances in 24 hours for a single puzzle. As such, we advise not being trigger happy and carefully weighing in your words before pressing that submit button.
    • Shuffle Away: While a bit tricky, the sneaky Connections editor deliberately puts the first word placement as a misdirection. So the one golden tip here is to press that Shuffle button before you go on solving it.

If you’re still unsure how to proceed, check out our dedicated how-to-play NYT Connections guide for all the help you need.

We hope you had similar luck as I did for today’s game. If not, please let us know in the comments below!

What are the NYT Connections answers for April 17, 2025?

The Connections categories for April 17 are Yellow: Central sections of the body, Green: Components of a pizza, Blue: Units of beer, and Purple: Baseball greats. For in-depth answers, check out our Connections hints and answers for April 17.

How to play past Connections games?

Thankfully, it’s very easy to play old NYT Connections games. Simply head to the Connections archives and pick any date you wish to replay!

What is the hardest Connections category?

The Purple category is without a doubt the hardest NYT Connections category to solve. You have been warned!

Can I play NYT Connections for free?

Yes, you indeed can, as NYT Connections is a fully free game.

  • Despite having his own movie trilogy, this gritty and violent Marvel Comics hero never got to be part of the Marvel vs. Capcom series

Before the Marvel Cinematic Universe was even an idea in some executive’s head, there were Marvel movies bringing some of their most iconic characters to the big screen, albeit in a more divided fashion. Spider-Man, the X-Men and even the Fantastic Four got big blockbuster movies that helped put Marvel’s superhero characters on the map.

But before all of them, there was another Marvel character making bank at the box office. One who you might not even consider a superhero and whose film was not just grittier and darker than most comic book material, but even debuted in movie form with an R rating. I’m talking, of course, about Blade.

Eric Brooks — better known as Blade — is a Dhampir, which is to say a human and vampire hybrid, who basically has all the powers of vampires but without most of their weaknesses, meaning for example that he can walk through sunlight without being harmed, a feat that has earned him the nickname The Daywalker.

Despite being part-vampire himself, he is a hero in the Marvel Comics universe who predominately deals with hunting vampires and saving innocents from falling prey to these creatures of the night.

Even though he is largely free from vampire weaknesses, he does still need to consume human blood but he tends to use a special serum to offset his bloodlust rather than feast on humans like his foes would.

Because of the dark subject matter of vampires and horror themes, Blade comics can get pretty gritty and bloody, which puts him at an odd spot in the comics since the more mainstream heroes tend to be a bit more lighthearted or “PG-13” than Blade can be.

Blade is a very interesting character when it comes to Marvel Comics. Although Marvel has always had a wide variety of genres and approaches to their various characters, despite the vast majority of them sharing the same universe, Blade still sticks out massively as a character who is a lot more famous than his comic presence would have you believe.

Unlike previous characters I’ve covered in this article series like Daredevil’s over 700 issues or Fantastic Four who go even higher, Blade actually doesn’t even have 40 issues to his name.

Back in 1998 when his first movie released? There were only 10 issues that were actually focused on Blade specifically, so he was a very minor character even at the time.

Of course, like many other Marvel characters, Blade has had a presence in the comics besides his own run, whether it be as part of a team like the Midnight Sons or just having crossover appearances in other characters’ storylines, but it’s still impressive that New Line Cinema took a chance on such an obscure character… and even more impressive that it massively paid off.

The success of 1998’s Blade, starring Wesley Snipes in the title role, led to a full movie trilogy as the film was followed by Blade II in 2002 and Blade: Trinity in 2004 and we even saw Snipes return to the role last year in Deadpool & Wolverine which brought back several old characters from the pre-Marvel Cinematic Universe days.

Since Blade is so separated from the superhero side of the universe as well as has a fairly low publishing history compared to most other characters you’d see in movies, it’s not uncommon to hear someone go “Wait, Blade’s a Marvel character?” which actually makes him an even better fit for a crossover like Marvel vs. Capcom, where one of the fun things about the roster is to surprise fans by bringing out characters you may not expect.

Another character who is often mistaken as a non-Marvel character is the comedic Howard the Duck who we recently learned was actually being developed for the original Marvel vs. Capcom, but Marvel appeared to get cold feet out of worry that they’d get in trouble with Disney if fans mistook him for Donald Duck.

Of course, Blade has no such issues as he doesn’t directly resemble other famous characters to the degree that Howard the Duck might, certainly not any of Disney’s roster before they purchased Marvel, and while he never was mentioned as being on the table for the early Marvel vs. Capcom games, he actually was considered for Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

“There was just too much similarity with Dante…” — Ryota Niitsuma

Back in 2017, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 producer Ryota Niitsuma went on a tweeting spree on Twitter (now known as X) where he explained the reasoning for many characters that were originally considered for the game, with Blade being one of them.

Unfortunately, his comment on Blade is a bit anticlimactic — all he had to say about the fighter was that “There was just too much similarity with Dante…”

It makes sense at first glance — they both wear tenchcoats, they both wield big swords and they both use guns when they’re too far away to be slashing and even the gimmick of being half-vampire feels like it has some overlap with the Devil May Cry protagonists’ half-demon status.

Even so, surely there’s enough to draw on here to make them distinct from each other. Despite the trenchcoat, they’re not visually similar enough to confuse them since Dante is pale as a ghost and wears a bright red trenchcoat, while Blade himself is a Black man (British also, if you’re curious) wearing a pitch black trenchcoat.

Also, Dante’s moves are all about style and pizzazz while Blade would likely be a much more direct assassin or slayer, so even though I can kind of see Niitsuma’s point I really do feel like there’s more than enough room to differentiate between the two in their movesets even if their general archetype is similar, especially when they have such different personalities.

Blade hasn’t really popped up too much since his movie trilogy ended so while his relevance isn’t at the peak it once was, there could still be hope for him to appear in future Marvel fighting game projects if they were to happen.

There’s been a long-standing Blade reboot starring Mahershala Ali which has unfortunately gotten stuck in development hell and if it ever makes it out of it, we’re likely to see a lot more discourse surrounding the character again.

Marvel Rivals, the latest popular game featuring Marvel’s superheroes, also had Blade show up in a stage cameo in the second half of its first season, though he still has yet to be added as a playable character.

He may be in something of a limbo in most areas right now, but if we do see a new Marvel vs. Capcom game there’s a good chance that whoever’s in charge of it will take another look at Blade and decide “we have to get this guy in”, even with Dante in the roster (because you know there’s no way he’s missing out on future installments).

As a character who’s mainstream media presence eclipses his comic presence, it’s a bit surprising that Blade has never gotten into a fighting game roster after so many Marvel games have been published.

But that also makes it feel like he’s got an even better shot at making it in for any future games since he already managed to kickstart Marvel’s movie success back in 1998 and most definitely has not been forgotten by fans.

  • The Fantastic Four First Steps Trailer Released: The Silver Surfer is Here!

A while back, the first teaser for The Fantastic Four First Steps was released, and in all honesty, it turned out to be rather disappointing. However, it seems that Marvel took notes of the backlash it received on the first clip and fixed the CGI and other oddities to bring fans a new official trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

The new Fantastic Four 2025 trailer not only looks a lot better but also gives us a first look at The Silver Surfer, played by Julia Garner. It also shows us that the world is grateful for the astronauts team turned into Fantastic Four and how much they love them. We get to see the bond this family shares and how much joy they are experiencing since Sue Storm is pregnant. However, their joy is short-lived since they are visited by none other than Silver Surfer, who announces that their planet is marked for death, essentially, that Galactus is coming.

We once again get to see a shadow of Galactus and his massive feet crushing whatever is in the way on Earth. They showed us Galactus’ head in the first teaser and his feet in the first trailer; what body do you want to see next? Keep the replies civil, guys!

Keeping megasized body parts aside, the trailer features some amazing clips, and this time, we also got to see Reed Richards use his powers, like I said, Marvel took notes.

Who Play the Silver Surfer in The Fantastic Four: First Steps?

Now, before you guys start bashing Marvel that they gender swapped the Silver Surfer, let me tell you that they did not. The version of the Silver Surfer we see in The Fantastic Four: First Steps is Shalla-Bal.

Canonically, she is the wife of Norrin Radd, the original Silver Surfer. To save her and his planet, Norrin made himself Galactus‘ muse and became the Silver Surfer. Shalla-Bal, appearing in the movie, is a subtle reminder to the fans that the upcoming movie is not set in the main Earth-616 continuity.

Sue Storm Confirmed to Be Pregnant in The Fantastic Four: First Steps

When the first teaser was released, fans were quick to find a scene that made them speculate that Sue Storm is pregnant. However, with this trailer, it is confirmed that Sue Storm is indeed pregnant in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Sue Storm being pregnant in this movie means that Franklin Richards is on the way, which opens a lot of possibilities for Marvel.

Considering that Doctor Doom is set to appear in Avengers Doomsday, we could see the storyline where Doom captures Franklin, and Marvel might use this to bring The Fantastic Four into the main timeline to fight Doom. So, let’s wait and see what happens, and till then, stay tuned with us for more updates!
