  • The Last of Us Season 2 Episode 2 Ending Song Has a Deeper Meaning (Explained)

Since its first season came out, The Last of Us has been regarded as the best video game adaptation to ever hit our screens. However, while there is good, it is followed by an equal share of bad, which we get to see with Joel’s death in the latest episode of The Last of Us Season 2. Even though this was incredibly sad, one has to applaud the attention to detail given to Joel’s demise, with a familiar song being played in the background at the end of The Last of Us Season 2 Episode 2. Now, if you thought that it was just some random song, you would be highly mistaken since it has a deeper meaning (my video game fans would’ve recognized it already). So, without further ado, let’s dive right into what it stands for!

What is the Song in The Last of Us Season 2 Episode 2 Ending?

Image Credit: HBO (via Warner Bros. Discovery/ Liane Hentscher)

By the end of TLOU Season 2 Episode 2, we see that Abby has killed Joel and walks away with her crew after injuring Ellie. We see that an injured Ellie crawls to Joel’s dead body and holds him near, and as she does so, we hear a song play in the background in a familiar voice. In the final moments of The Last of Us Season 2 Episode 2, we hear Ashley Johnson’s voice singingThrough the Valley” by Shawn James.

If that name does not ring a bell, let me remind you that Ashley Johnson is the actor who voiced Ellie in both The Last of Us games. She sang this cover for the trailer of The Last of Us 2, and it has now been featured in this episode.

What Does The Song At The End of TLOU Season 2 Episode 2 Mean?

One might think that the song at the end of The Last of Us Season 2 is there to lull the viewers and have them understand the gravity of the events; that is Joel’s death. However, the song “Through the Valley” translates to a much deeper meaning than that. The song serves two purposes — first of all, it acts as a musical representation of the scene, and a particular section of lyrics is layered over here. When Abby had just killed Joel and was walking through the snow with her crew, we hear the lyrics:

“I fear no evil, ’cause I’m blind to it all. And my mind and my gun, they comfort me. Because I know I’ll kill my enemies when they come.”

Similarly, when the Infected attack Jackson, and the colony somehow survives after suffering from massive losses, we see Tommy break down in tears as the lyrics sing,

“Surely, goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life. And I will dwell on this earth forever more.”

The most well-placed scene to the lyrics was when Joel’s body is being dragged by Jessie and Ellie through the snow, and the lyrics say,

“Oh, and I walk beside the still waters, and they restore my soul. But I know when I die, my soul is damned. But I know when I die, my soul is damned.”

These lyric specifically sound as if Joel is talking to Ellie and is comforting her as he tells her that the day he went guns blazing into that hospital and killed those soldiers and Abby’s father, he knew someday someone will come looking for him for taking so many lives, telling her that his “soul is damned”.

Moreover, one can also look at the song as a warning from Joel to Ellie, warning her not to follow the same path of violence and vengeance he did. However, we all know what is to come from this point on, so let’s wait and see what we have in the upcoming episodes and stay tuned with us for more!

  • Is This the Last Time We’ve Seen Pedro Pascal’s Joel in The Last of Us TV Show?

If there’s one video game adaptation I will fight to defend, it will be HBO’s The Last of Us. This show not only brings this incredible story to life, but also captures the soul of the game, wrapped up in the performances of a wonderful cast. The second episode of The Last of Us Season 2 has aired, and the inevitable has happened — Joel’s death. In all honesty, I am pretty sure none of us, not even video game fans, thought that we would get to see it this early in the show. But now that it has happened, that brings us to the question: Is this the last time we are seeing Pedro Pascal’s Joel in The Last of Us Season 2? Or, will Joel appear further after episode 2? Let’s find out.

What Happened to Joel in The Last of Us Season 2 Episode 2?

Image Credit: HBO (via Warner Bros. Discovery/Liane Hentscher)

In Episode 2 of The Last of Us Season 2, we see Joel’s death at the hands of Abby. We see that Abby gets caught in a chase where she is being followed by a horde of infected. She eventually finds her way into a warehouse, but the relentless infected don’t stop.

And just when it looks like Abby is going to get killed at the hands of a runner, one of the infected types in The Last of Us, a gun appears in the frame, and it’s none other than Joel who saves her life. Once Abby finds out that the man who saved her life was Joel, thanks to Dina calling out his name, she lures him and Dina to the hideout where Abby’s friends are holed up.

Once they get there, Abby gets Dina sedated and hits Joel with a shotgun blast to the knee. She tells Joel that the surgeon he killed was her father, and then proceeds to beat him to a pulp with a golf club. Ellie finds Joel’s tracks and finds her way to the hideout. However, even though she tries to save Joel, she is unable to do so, and Abby stabs Joel in the neck, killing Joel instantly.

Will Pedro Pascal’s Joel Appear Again in The Last of Us Season 2?

Even though his character was killed by Abby in Episode 2, we can say with absolute certainty that Pedro Pascal will return as Joel in future episodes of The Last of Us Season 2. Now, there is nothing supernatural going on in the show, but instead, we will see Pascal return as Joel in some flashback sequences or Ellie’s dreams, as we have seen in The Last of Us Part 2 video game.

In the TLOU Season 2 trailer itself, there are certain clips that I’m pretty certain are taken from such flashback sequences. So if you have been worried about Pedro Pascal’s return as Joel in The Last of Us Season 2, I can tell you that Joel’s screentime is not over yet.

In the game, there were three major flashback sequences or dream sequences where Joel appeared even after his death. So, let’s wait and see what happens and stay tuned with us for more updates in this season of The Last of Us!

  • How Did Joel Die in The Last of Us Season 2?

The Last of Us Season 2 Episode 2, titled Through The Valley, featured one of the most gut-wrenching sequences from the video game. On the lookout for Joel, Abby is ambushed by a horde of infected and eventually gets saved by the one she wants to kill. Dina calls out Joel by his name in front of Abby, taking her aback, and she immediately crafts a plan to capture him. While the video game fans were somehow prepared for the unfortunate death sequence in TLOU Season 2, we never thought it would happen this early. So, how does Joel die in The Last of Us? Here’s the answer you are looking for.

    Spoiler Warning:

This post includes spoilers for The Last of Us TV show and video game, so please proceed with caution.

Is Joel Really Dead in The Last of Us Season 2?

Image Credit: HBO (via Warner Bros. Discovery/ Liane Hentscher)

Yes, Joel is dead in TLOU Season 2. Abby initially stumbles into him when she is ambushed by a bunch of infected. Abby had never seen Joel, so if it wasn’t for Dina calling out Joel’s name, she wouldn’t have identified him.

The girl pretends to be a helpless kid who needs help, so she asks Dina and Joel to come with her to the place where her group is holed up. However, after reaching there, Abby doesn’t take a lot of time to reveal her true intentions.

While Joel tries to connect with Tommy over the handheld transceiver, Abby’s group holds Dina hostage, making the man realize that something’s not right. Joel and Ellie encountered a plethora of survivalist groups in Season 1, so he initially believed them to be one such group, and that’s why he says, “You wanna rob us? Fine, take what you want.” Later, he discovers the truth when Abby tells him that he is responsible for her loss, as Joel killed her father in the Fireflies HQ in Salt Lake City.

Abby wanted to kill him slowly, so she shoots him in the leg first and then shares her true intentions with Joel. After that, she slowly beats the life out of Joel with a golf club, ultimately putting an end to Pedro Pascal’s role in the series. And you know what’s the real kicker, Abby kills Joel right in front of Ellie’s eyes by sticking the broken end of the golf club in Joel’s neck. This was a brutal and heart-wrenching scene that wasn’t shown as vividly in the video game.

How Does Joel Die in the TLOU Part 2 Game?

Video game adaptations usually make some significant changes to the original story, and TLOU is no different. While staying mostly faithful to the video game, the television series altered some events, adding more emotional drama to the story.

First of all, Joel’s death takes place within 2-3 hours in the game, and The Last of Us Season 2 adapted it in the second episode of Season 2, so the HBO series gave us an extended period to watch our beloved Pedro Pascal as Joel on our screens. Secondly, Joel wasn’t with Dina when he crossed paths with Abby and her group in the game; instead, he was with his brother, Tommy.

The brothers protected her from falling prey to the infected and took her to the lodge, where her group took cover. Like the TV show, Abby comes clear in front of Joel and shoots him in the leg before beating him to death with the golf club. Even though Ellie arrives at the location, she can’t do anything to protect her surrogate father as he succumbs to the fatal blows Abby released on him.

How do you feel about the gut-wrenching scene in the latest episode of TLOU Season 2? Do let us know in the comments below.

  • Who Is Abby’s Father in the Last of Us Season 2?

The sequel to The Last of Us Part 1 video game brought in a lot of new characters who pushed the narrative forward. Among them, Jerry Anderson, Abby’s father, was the pivotal character whose encounter with Joel forever changed the course of history in the TLOU universe. If you’re currently watching The Last of Us Season 2 on TV and wondering who Abby’s father is in the series, discover the details about his character here.

    Spoiler Warning:

This article contains spoilers for Jerry Anderson’s character in The Last of Us Part 2 game and season 2 of the TV show. So, proceed with caution.

Who Is Abby’s Father in The Last of Us?

Image Credit: Naughty Dog (via YouTube/PlayStation)

To everyone’s surprise, Abby’s father was revealed to be the chief surgeon of the Fireflies whom Joel killed to save Ellie. His name is Gerald Anderson, but he’s more commonly known as Jerry in the TLOU series.

Jerry was the head doctor at St. Mary’s Hospital, operated by the Fireflies. He aimed to discover a cure for the Cordyceps Brain Infection (CBI), which led to the existence of many different kinds of infected creatures in the world.

Jerry Anderson’s Origins in The Last of Us

Before the Cordyceps fungus outbreak, Jerry was a biology graduate from Northern Utah Medical University. However, once the zombie pandemic started, Jerry decided to team up with the Fireflies organization to help search for a cure for the infection. During this time, Jerry has a daughter with an unknown character, and Abby also becomes a part of the Fireflies.

Jerry was a highly proficient medical professional and trained Mel, one of Abby’s friends. Therefore, Jerry was established as the only character who had the highest chance of finding a cure for the CBI.

    What Happened to Abby’s Father?

As the lead doctor, Jerry was in charge of coming up with a cure to save humanity. However, the only way to do this was to obtain the fungus inside Ellie’s brain, which would result in Ellie’s death.

Even though Abby’s father was empathetic, he had to make this sacrifice for the greater good. Thus, he convinced Marlene and proceeded with the operation.

I won’t let you take her. This is our future, think of all the lives we’ll save – Jerry Anderson

As we know from the events of the first part, Joel interrupted the surgical procedure. Jerry tried to threaten him with a scalpel and emphasized that the cure made out of Ellie could save millions of lives. However, Joel ended up shooting Abby’s father in the head and killing him, as there was no other way to save Ellie in such an emotionally charged situation.

Jerry Anderson’s death was the foundation for the sequel, as the loss of her father would later drive Abby to search for Joel and avenge his dad by killing him.

We still don’t know who will play the role of Abby’s father in the upcoming TLOU Season 2. But we will update this post as more details about his character emerge. Until then, what is your opinion on Jerry’s decision to kill Ellie for a cure? Let us know in the comments below.

  • Why Did Abby Kill [SPOILER] in the Last of Us Season 2?

The Last of Us Season 2 has started its seven-week run, and the moment we have been dreading has finally transpired in the HBO TV series. Unlike the first season, the second season has headed into gruesome territory by killing Joel in the first act, which brutally kicks off the sequel’s main storyline. This was a bold move from the game’s creators that left us emotionally shattered. It simultaneously made fans question why Abby killed Joel in the first place. So, discover the motive behind Abby’s gruesome beating and murder of Joel, the greatest character in the TLOU series.

    Heavy Spoilers Warning:

This article contains heavy spoilers about the story of The Last of Us Part 2 game and season 2 of the TV show. Proceed with caution.

What Was Abby’s Problem with Joel?

Image Credit: Naughty Dogs and Warner Bros (via PlayStation and Warner Bros. Discover Pressroom)

The Last of Us Part 2 video game takes its time to introduce fans to Abby and her backstory as you progress. But the second season of the live-action series wastes no time highlighting Abby’s intentions as they introduce and reveal her motives in the very first episode. The second season opens up with Abby and her friends mourning the deaths of the Firefly members.

Slowly. When we kill him, we kill him slowly – Abby Anderson

So, why does Abby specifically have a problem with Joel, you ask? It’s because Joel took the life of the chief doctor, Jerry Anderson, who was Abby’s father in the series. Joel slaughtered the whole Fireflies crew to save Ellie from her demise at the hands of the doctor.

After Joel kills Jerry, Abby is heartbroken by the unexpected loss of her father and swears to make Joel pay for taking her father’s life.

Why Did Abby Kill Joel in The Last of Us?

Joel abducted by WLF members in The Last of Us Part 2.

A sequel can only shine if the creators genuinely connect the story and expand on the spirit of its predecessor. So, the only way for them to push the narrative forward was to take the hard decision of killing Joel in the most brutal way possible.

Thus, Abby, who vowed to avenge her father’s death, bashed Joel to death with a golf club in the final moments of The Last of Us Season 2 Episode 2. Millions of fans around the world love Joel, and the tragic end of such a fan-favorite ended up traumatizing not only Ellie but also the viewers.

However, if you spare a moment and place yourself in the shoes of Abby, you can understand why she went through all the trouble to beat Joel to his death. The sudden loss of a loved one can drive anyone to pursue vengeance at any cost. Joel did what he had to do to save Ellie.

But the consequences of his acts, i.e. the death of Abby’s father, cost him his own life in the end. I mean, Joel knew this better than anyone, as he once said:

I guess no matter how hard you try, you can’t escape your past – Joel Miller

As Joel is the father figure in Ellie’s life in the TLOU series, the writers opted for a challenging choice to deepen Ellie’s character in the show. Ellie (Bella Ramsey) can be seen shouting at the end of the second episode, “I’m gonna kill you. I’m gonna kill you! You’re gonna die! You’re all gonna fucking die!”

The central themes explored in season 2 are revenge, the cycle of violence, and redemption. People may hate Abby for taking Joel away from us, but once we see the other side of the coin, Abby’s story in season 3, it will change our perception of revenge. Until then, do you think Abby was right to kill Joel brutally in TLOU Season 2? Let us know your thoughts about Abby’s actions in the comments below.

  • From conflicted young hero to ruthless warmongerer — the strange journey of Tekken’s protagonist Jin Kazama and the Devil Gene lore

I already wrote a piece detailing the story trajectory of Tekken’s original protagonist Kazuya Mishima who has now spent many more games as an antagonist than the main character, but what about the person who took over the role of protagonist after him?

I’m talking of course about his son, Jin Kazama, who took over the mantle as main character way back in Tekken 3 and has largely stayed in that role all the way through Tekken 8, though it’s hard to say there haven’t been some bumps in the road. What exactly is the deal with Jin’s story in the Tekken series… especially Tekken 6? Let’s just say, if you know, you know…

Jin’s story starts out fairly standard, with Kazuya presumed dead after the 17-year timeskip preceding Tekken 3 he is introduced as the child of Kazuya Mishima and Jun Kazama, two characters who had now been removed from the franchise, although his grandfather and Kazuya’s original antagonist Heihachi Mishima was still alive and well.

Heihachi, who clearly wasn’t satisfied with only receiving the “worst father of the year” award decided to go for the “worst grandfather of the year” prize as well by targeting his grandson Jin Mishima, fearing that he had the Devil Gene within him much like his father Kazuya did.

His fears turned out to be correct — although Heihachi attempted to kill Jin by shooting him in the head, his devil form awoke and smashed Heihachi through a wall before departing.

After the events of Tekken 3, Jin worked on distancing himself from the Devil form within him and from the Mishima bloodline as a whole, but after hearing of a new The King of Iron Fist tournament happening, he decided to participate to take down his grandfather and end the Mishima bloodline once and for all. Still a fairly valiant goal, given all that we know about Heihachi and the Mishimas in general.

Jin would end up getting a lot more than he bargained for, though, as it turned out Kazuya Mishima was still alive. Rather than a tearful reunion between father and son, Kazuya was instead plotting to steal Jin’s Devil energy for himself, though it backfired when Jin’s Devil Form awoke once more and he defeated both Kazuya and Heihachi one after the other.

Before finishing their lives he was stopped by a vision of his mother, Jun, who had raised him for the early days of his life and he still had vivid memories of. His humanity took control and he stepped away from killing his family members, instead leaving them merely defeated.

Once Tekken 5 rolled around, the Mishima storyline became all more convoluted as it turned out that Heihachi’s father, that is to say Jin’s great grandfather, Jinpachi Mishima was actually still alive and had an evil entity possessing him which… was apparently entirely separated from the Devil Gene, since it would later be established that it came from Heihachi’s wife’s side of the family (sounds like a retcon to me, but who am I to judge).

Jinpachi wished to be defeated before he got entirely possessed by the evil aura around him and Jin did defeat him, earning his place as the leader of the Mishima Zaibatsu in the process which leads directly into Tekken 6.

This is where things get… weird. In case you didn’t think they already were, you know…

In Tekken 6, despite being propped up as a force of good and going against the Mishima bloodline, Jin instead seemed to completely embrace the war-hungry nature we had already seen possessed by Heihachi and Kazuya before him.

The in-story explanation for Jin’s sudden heel turn may have made some kind of sense at the time of Tekken 6, but with the power of hindsight it really… doesn’t add up at all. See, the main villain of Tekken 6, Azazel, was claimed to be the origin of the Devil Gene and had been telepathically communicating with Jin, wishing to be released onto the world.

Jin, with his eternal savior complex, believed Azazel’s words that he would be resurrected if the world was struck by great calamity and negativity, which led Jin to believe that reviving Azazel and defeating him once and for all to eliminate him entirely was the right play. So… Jin bombed a bunch of people and caused strife and war all across the world.

Obviously, these acts were not very heroic and they are difficult to justify even with the caveat that Jin actually did defeat Azazel after reviving him and once Tekken 7 comes around, they are even more difficult to justify.

In Tekken 7, Jin himself takes a backseat since the main focus is on the continued animosity between Kazuya and Heihachi (and was meant to end things between them for good until, well… you know…), but a different character has massive implications for his character arc and his actions from Tekken 6.

Tekken 7 features Kazuya’s own mother, Kazumi Mishima, who Heihachi kills with his own hands in a flashback sequence and the reason he kills her is because she possesses the Devil Gene, something that as far as I’m aware was not stated at any point before Tekken 7. Thus, it is heavily implied that the Devil Gene had been inherited by Kazuya from his mother who would then later pass it on to Jin.

This doesn’t just make Jinpachi’s presence in Tekken 5 strange (I’m not sure that they ever explicitly say he’s possessed by the Devil Gene, but just having a random different evil entity impeding on this family seems… strange, to say the least), it also makes the entire narrative around Azazel which was meant to justify Jin’s horrific actions entirely untrue.

The reason stated for Jin to want to revive Azazel from the start was to rid the world of the Devil Gene by killing the origin of it. Well, he beat Azazel and the Devil Gene went nowhere, so that didn’t work. So how exactly do you justify all the chaos that Jin caused in Tekken 6? Well, honestly… I’m not sure that you can.

Despite this, Jin is presented once more as the main protagonist in Tekken 8 and the game centers around his quest to defeat Kazuya once and for all, which is noble and all considering all the evil Kazuya has done, but after Tekken 6’s events Jin isn’t much better himself.

He ends up not really being held accountable by anyone for what he did in Tekken 6 and while Azazel does still have some story presence by being sealed within Zafina’s arm and making a brief appearance to awaken Kazuya’s Devil Form, his connection to them having the Devil Gene at all seems fairly dubious.

Even if everything set up in Tekken 6 about Azazel is true, Jin’s actions can best be described as reckless and still led to massive loss of life, including the death of Tekken 6 newcomer Miguel’s sister who conveniently is not part of the Tekken 8 roster so that he can’t remind everyone that Jin killed a bunch of innocent people.

Once Tekken 8 wraps up, Jin has finally defeated Kazuya and the presence of Jun, who seems to have finally woken up from her long slumber, appears to have healed both the father and son of their Devil Gene affliction.

Of course, the Devil Gene still isn’t gone because after that we see that Reina also has such a form, making the whole business even more convoluted since she’s clearly far too young to be Kazumi’s daughter, thereby making it seem like her father Heihachi had some kind of strange affinity for targeting specifically Devil Gene-infected women to procreate with.

To sum it all up, Jin’s story as the Tekken franchise’s most frequent protagonist is intricately tied to that of the Devil Gene and it’s influence over the Mishima bloodline. The problem is that the Devil Gene itself has become far too convoluted to really pin down where it even comes from and it seems to just get more confusing with each game.

It wasn’t even until Tekken 4 that the Devil Gene itself was brought up at all, previously being more referred to as an actual demonic possession stemming from Kazuya’s hatred of his father after what Heihachi had put him through, so it’s been retconned at least once and given its history, probably a few more times after that.

Whatever the case, Jin Kazama is seen by most as the main face of Tekken and he will likely remain so in the future as well. But the actions he’s taken throughout the series, or more specifically Tekken 6, really do not fit that of a traditional protagonist.

That in itself is fine, especially since we already saw Kazuya go from a protagonist to an antagonist before his son, but the fact that the characters in the Tekken universe are kind of just glossing over Jin’s war crimes is… just kind of weird.

  • Boruto Two Blue Vortex: Sarada Uchiha’s Mangekyo Sharingan Ohirume Explained

As most in the Naruto fandom would know, the Mangekyou Sharingan is the evolved version of the Sharingan, bound to the Uchiha clan. We have seen many highly proficient Mangekyou Sharingan users earlier, including Itachi, Sasuke, and Madara, among others. However, the one character that the fans have always wanted to awaken the Mangekyou Sharingan is Sarada Uchiha, the daughter of Sasuke and Sakura. Well, we do not have to wait any longer, as the prophecy has been fulfilled in the Boruto Two Blue Vortex manga. For those curious, learn about how and when Sarada awakened her Mangekyou Sharingan, along with its abilities, in this guide.

    Spoilers Warning:

This post contains spoilers for the Boruto Two Blue Vortex manga. So, read the manga (up to chapter 20) to avoid ruining the intended experience.

How and When Did Sarada Get Mangekyou Sharingan?

If you think Sarada awakened her Mangekyou Sharingan in her battle against Ryu, then I’m afraid to say you are wrong. The Uchiha clan members can only awaken their Mangekyou Sharingan whenever they go through a traumatic event. That is why only a limited number of the strongest Uchiha clan members have unlocked the evolved Sharingan eyes in the story.

Coming back to Sarada, when she hears the news of Naruto’s, the Seventh Hokage’s, death, she undergoes a traumatic event in her life. When Sarada asks her dad to help Boruto, she awakens her Mangekyou Sharingan for the first time in Boruto chapter 80. Even Sasuke confirms that it is the Mangekyou Sharingan in her teary eyes.

Since then, the fandom has been patiently waiting to see Sarada’s Mangekyou Sharingan abilities in action. The long wait has now come to an end since Sarada once again activates her sun-patterned Mangekyou Sharingan in the Boruto Two Blue Vortex manga series. Team Konoha has teamed up with Sunagakure’s ninjas to take down Ryu and Matsuri. In the thrilling battle against Ryu, the evil version of Shinki speared Yodo with his Iron Sand.

Even Yodo wonders why Sarada is holding back the true powers of the Uchiha clan. Upon hearing Yodo’s words and being on the verge of death, Sarada reawakens her Mangekyou Sharingan and unleashes its abilities for the first time in chapter 20 of the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga.

Every main character, including the likes of Boruto, Himawari, and others, has been getting major power-ups in the sequel Boruto manga. Now, Sarada has also received a much-needed power spike by re-awakening her Mangekyou Sharingan.

After activating it in front of her father, Sasuke, for the first time, this is only the second time we see her using it to attack. We have learned a little about Sarada’s Mangekyou Sharingan abilities after her battle with a Human God Tree named Ryu.

Sarada: Mangekyou Sharingan Ohirume’s First Ability

In the ongoing battle, both the teams of Konoha and Sunagakure were easily overwhelmed by Ryu’s Iron Sand powers. Araya was doing well against Ryu’s sandy powers, thanks to his sword, but it was later seized by Ryu. When this situation evolved into a life-or-death moment, Sarada activated her Mangekyou Sharingan to produce black spheres that sucks all the iron sand into a void.

So, one of Sarada’s Mangekyou Sharingan abilities is related to “Space-Time Ninjutsu” as she can perform a feat similar to Obito’s renowned Kamui move. It is called the Mangekyou Sharingan: Ohirume in Boruto Two Blue Vortex chapter 21. This title must have been named after Amaterasu, the Japanese sun goddess, who is also known as “Ōhirume no Muchi no Kami.”

In addition to absorbing her targets, Sarada is also confirmed to generate gravity using her black spheres. Thus, she has the power to control gravity with her eyes and use it to make selected targets float and catch them off guard. That is how she makes Ryu levitate and then shreds him into pieces by using her black spheres in chapter 21.

Sarada Uchiha Mangekyou Sharingan Ohirume’s Second Ability

Moreover, every Mangekyou Sharingan user has a unique ability in both eyes. Only one of her powers is shown in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga at the time of writing. As a result, Sarada is predicted to possess the infamous Amaterasu ability, similar to her father Sasuke and late uncle Itachi.

Since her Mangekyou Sharingan derives its name from Amaterasu, the Japanese Sun Goddess, she might also inherit her family’s Amaterasu ability in the future. As Amaterasu is unique to her father and uncle, it will be perfect for Sarada to inherit the power of the black flames.

We have to wait one whole month to find out more about Sarada’s Mangekyou Sharingan powers. In the meantime, let us know your thoughts about her new abilities in the comments below.

  • Sarada Shows off Her Overpowered Mangekyou Sharingan in Boruto TBV Chapter 21

It’s that time of the month as the latest chapter of the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga is here. The previous chapter ended on a cliffhanger, showing Sarada reawakening her Mangekyou Sharingan in the story. We have been waiting patiently to see Sarada in action as her Mangekyou Sharingan is teased to be the most powerful one in the Naruto universe. Now, fans can rejoice as Sarada has shown off the power of her Mangekyou Sharingan in Boruto TBV chapter 21, and it is indeed as overpowered as we imagined.

In line with Obito Uchiha, Sarada can be seen conjuring a void sphere to suck Ryu’s iron sand in the previous chapter. Now, Sarada produces up to four spheres that constantly absorb the iron sand, leaving Ryu in a helpless state.

Moreover, Sarada can also use the black spheres to generate gravity and target her adversaries accordingly in battle. She uses gravity to make her levitate along with Ryu without affecting the rest of the ninjas.

Sarada is growing in confidence with her newfound Mangekyou Sharingan: Ohirume powers, and she states that she understands the fundamentals of her eyes already. Then, Sarada uses her black spheres to pull the Human God Tree, Ryu, and then blasts him into pieces with her Mangekyou Sharingan.

People expected Sarada to hold off Ryu with her Mangekyou Sharingan until Boruto comes to save the day. However, Sarada just proved that she has developed into one of the most powerful young ninjas by defeating Ryu in the story in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 21. Ryu’s Thorn Soul Bulb is dropped on the ground, and hopefully, the Sunagakure ninjas can use it to restore Shinki.

After triumphing against Ryu, Sarada falls to the ground unconscious as a result of overusing her eyes and draining all of her chakra in this heated battle. However, the most important thing is that she has successfully vanquished a Human God Tree and saved her friends. Sarada unleashing her Mangekyou Sharingan power took me back to the glorious days of the Uchihas in the Naruto series.

The Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is on the right track, delivering some of the best power-ups to all the characters of the series. We can’t wait to see Sarada mastering her Mangekyou Sharingan, like her dad and uncle, in the upcoming chapters. In the meantime, let us know your thoughts on Sarada’s Mangekyou Sharingan in the comments below.

  • City of the Wolves for Xbox, recommends disabling crossplay until update

    Early access times listed

When playing crossplay network matches on Xbox Series X or S against other platforms, desyncs may occur in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, SNK relayed today. This is due to a delay in the update being made available for the Xbox store.

The solution, until the update is put in place, is to turn off crossplay network matches so that desyncs will not occur during gameplay.

An updated version of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is expected to launch for Xbox Series X and S platforms, so this issue should be going away in the future.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves early access times start as follows:

    PlayStation 4/5/Xbox Series X|S:

    – Early access will begin for these platforms on April 21, 2025 at midnight in your region’s local time.

*Since this follows your region’s local time, not all players will gain access at the same time.

    Steam/Epic Games Store:

    – Early access will begin for these platforms on April 21, 2025 at 12:00 a.m. PDT

    – April 21, 2025 at 7:00 AM UTC everywhere else.

  • Today’s Wordle Hints, Answer for #1402 on April 21, 2025

NYT Wordle is a satisfying and tricky test of vocabulary and logic that challenges players to guess a new five-letter word every day. However, things can get a little too challenging at times, and that probably explains why you’re here. So, if you don’t want to break your word-guessing streak or get too frustrated, take a look at today’s Wordle hints and answer for puzzle #1402 for April 21, 2025, down below!

    How to Play Wordle

Wordle is a word puzzle game by The New York Times. You are given six attempts to guess a five-letter word. The letters are highlighted in Yellow, Green, and Grey when you input a word. Yellow denotes that the letter appears in today’s Wordle answer, but it’s not at the right spot. Meanwhile, when a letter turns green, it means you have guessed the right letter in the right position. At last, a grey letter means the letter is not part of today’s answer.

While it may seem that winning at Wordle is easy, it is difficult to get that pesky five-letter word right. To help you out, here are some quick tips on how to play Wordle:

    • Open with a strong word – Using the right Wordle starting words rich with multiple vowels and consonants is important. While you can take a look at our dedicated guide, starting words like AISLE, SALTY, and DINER are my go-to choices.
    • Pay attention to colors – Keep track of the yellow, green, and grayed-out letters to eliminate incorrect positions and letters. To make every guess count, avoid accidentally repeating letters that have already been eliminated.
    • Isolate the vowels – There can be days when your usual starting words don’t help much. In that case, try to test the remaining vowels by using different words.
    • Repeating letters is good – Don’t be afraid of repeating letters as history is proof that there are chances the Wordle answer will have one or two letters that repeat themselves.
    • Use the Wordlebot – As described above, NYT’s Wordlebot is an intuitive bot that analyzes your responses and compares them against itself. Instilling some healthy competition can help you improve your own Wordle guessing and see what you could have done better.
