Google’s latest flagship phones have barely hit the market, and already, the tech world is abuzz with chatter about Google’s next mid-range Pixel: the Google Pixel 8a. While its official launch date isn’t slated until May next year, the shroud of mystery surrounding this device is gradually unraveling, thanks to some tantalizing renders shared by the reliable sources of OnLeaks and SmartPrix.
These two sources have a track record of spilling the beans on Google’s forthcoming products. Lending considerable credibility to the images that have now surfaced, offering us a sneak peek into the highly-anticipated Pixel 8a.
Google Pixel 8a: A Refreshing Change in Design
The most striking departure from its predecessors evident in these renders is the Google Pixel 8a’s sleek and rounded edges. This design choice marks a significant aesthetic shift from the square-edged appearance of previous members in the Pixel lineup. It’s a refreshing change that not only gives the device a more modern look. But also allows Google to craft a smaller, more compact product.
In essence, the Google Pixel 8a will be more petite, thinner, and less wide than its forerunner, the Pixel 7a. Boasting dimensions of 152.1 x 72.6 x 8.9 mm. This reduction in size doesn’t come at the expense of screen real estate. As the Pixel 8a will continue to sport a 6.1-inch display, identical to its predecessor. The trimmed-down bezels surrounding the display contribute to this space-efficient design.

Turning our attention to the rear of the device, we find the familiar bar housing the Google Pixel 8a’s camera setup. As seen in previous iterations, there will be just two lenses. Although specific details about these lenses are still under wraps.
What has been publicly available, in addition to these images, is the inclusion of the Tensor G3 processor, 8 GB of RAM, and an out-of-the-box Android 14 experience. Also worth noting is the codename assigned by Google to this project: Akita.
As the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro have officially made their way to markets, we can reasonably anticipate that the Pixel 8a will follow suit. However, eager fans will have to exercise patience, as it’s unlikely to hit the Portuguese market before mid-next year. In the meantime, as the launch date draws nearer, we can look forward to uncovering more intriguing details about this promising Android smartphone. Stay tuned for updates as the anticipation builds for Google’s Pixel 8a.
Xiaomi is planning a major change for MIUI — it may completely ditch it for a new operating system. The latest rumor has it that Xiaomi may not introduce MIUI 15 and replace it with a new OS, possibly called MiOS. Check out the details below.
RIP MIUI?
Renowned tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed that MIUI will cease to exist. It is said that MIUI 14 was its last iteration. If this becomes true, there are chances that we may directly see the new MiOS this year instead of MIUI 15.
It still remains to be seen if this is another skin based on Android or will be a new OS by Xiaomi. This is expected to be available on Xiaomi smartphones, wearables, tablets, and even China-exclusive electric vehicles.
That said, a report by XiaomiUI claims otherwise. It is suggested that Xiaomi is still testing MIUI 15 and will release it with the upcoming Xiaomi 14 smartphones, which could launch later this year. So, this might be just a rumor and Xiaomi will continue with its MIUI skin.
Source: XiaomiUI
However, the report doesn’t dismiss the existence of MiOS and hints at the switch in the future. There are chances that this may be reserved for users in China and MIUI will be a global thing. This is similar to how OnePlus used to have HydrogenOS for China and OxygenOS for other markets. At present, it uses ColorOS for OnePlus phones in China and continues to use OxygenOS for regions outside of China.
Since we are hearing polarizing information on Xiaomi’s switch from MIUI to MiOS, we can’t really put our finger on what may end up being right. It would be best to take these details with a pinch of salt until Xiaomi gives concrete information. We will make sure to put all the details across, so, stay tuned. Also, what are your thoughts on Xiaomi switching to MiOS? Let us know in the comments below.
The Google Pixel 8 Pro has been officially released, and it brings numerous enhancements! These improvements particularly come in terms of AI-powered features. Furthermore, they are especially present in the camera department. Last year’s Pixel 7 Pro stood out as the smartest smartphone around. The Pixel 8 Pro builds upon its predecessor, taking things to the next level.
Now, the question is how Google’s latest offering, the Pixel 8 Pro, compares to Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro Max, which has been referred to as ‘the ultimate upgrade’ in many reviews due to its extensive list of improvements and additional features.
While Google may face a tough challenge in dethroning Apple from the top of the best phones list, there are several areas where the Google Pixel 8 Pro outshines the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Here are seven areas where the Pixel 8 Pro surpasses the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
AI-Powered Camera
In terms of AI-powered photography features, the Google Pixel 8 Pro appears to have an edge over the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Google has been at the forefront of AI-enhanced photography and with the Pixel 8 Pro, they take it a step further, offering users more control and innovative features like Magic Eraser.
The Pixel 8 Pro introduces several innovative AI-driven features, such as Magic Editor, Best Take, and Zoom & Enhance, all of which enhance the photography experience. Users can adjust and enhance their photos in various ways. These features provide more creative control over your photos, ensuring you get the best results, even in challenging situations.
The Pixel 8 Pro’s upcoming Video Boost feature, scheduled to launch later this year, will enable users to enhance the quality of their videos. This includes a video-specific version of Night Sight, enhancing performance in low-light situations. While these enhancements are processed in the cloud, they ensure that your videos benefit from the same AI-driven improvements as your photos.
Audio Magic Eraser Tool
The Pixel 8 Pro introduces Audio Magic Eraser, a feature that effectively eliminates unwanted background noise from your videos. Whether it’s traffic, wind, construction noise, barking dogs, or any other distracting sounds, this feature can effectively eliminate them from your videos, enhancing their overall audio quality.
While iPhone 15 Pro Max owners may have to contend with unwanted background noise when recording videos, Pixel 8 Pro users can rely on AI-powered Audio Magic Eraser to remove such distractions, ensuring their videos have clear and high-quality audio without the hassle of manually avoiding noisy environments.
Professional Camera Tools
The Pixel 8 Pro offers extensive camera settings and creative control, similar to the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, potentially offering greater flexibility and customization than Apple’s ProRAW feature. This level of control can empower users to fine-tune their camera settings to achieve their desired photographic results.
The Pixel 8 Pro allows users to adjust various camera settings such as shutter speed, white balance, shadow, ISO, and focus, offering an extensive level of control similar to what you’d find in professional photography. Additionally, it supports shooting in RAW format at the full 50MP resolution, catering to the preferences of serious photographers who value fine-tuning and customization options. These advanced features set the Pixel 8 Pro apart and cater to users who seek more control over their photography.
With all these features in place, there is no denying that the Google Pixel 8 Pro has a fair lead in when comparing its camera to that of the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The Google Pixel 8 Pro’s screen is brighter than the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s
The Pixel 8 Pro boasts a Super Actua display that offers exceptional brightness levels. It potentially exceeds the screen brightness of the iPhone 15 Pro Max. It is worth noting that both smartphones have 1600 nits of brightness. However, there is no equality when you take both phones into the daylight. Under normal day sunlight, the Google Pixel 8 Pro is capable of producing a peak brightness of 2400 nits. On the other hand, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is limited to 2000 nits.
Gizchina News of the week
The truth is, a screen with a peak brightness of 2000 nits is still bright enough to use under the sunlight. Nevertheless, the Pixel 8 Pro will produce better view of screen under high sunlight as compared to the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Google Pixel 8 Pro Gets 7 Years of System Updates
Google has made a significant commitment to providing long-term software support for the Pixel 8 Pro. The company promises a seven-year period of updates. This also includes new Android versions, Pixel feature drops, and security updates. This guarantee extends until 2030, ensuring users will receive ongoing support.
In contrast, Apple’s software support for the iPhone 15 Pro Max is somewhat uncertain. Apple’s iOS 16 and iOS 17 already do not support iPhones released more than five years ago. Apple could potentially extend support for the iPhone 15 Pro Max. However, the lack of a clear expiration date on access to full iOS updates gives the Pixel 8 Pro an advantage in terms of long-term software support.
Temperature Sensor for the Pixel 8 Pro
The Pixel 8 Pro’s object temperature sensor, although initially seen as a novelty, could still hold practical value. While awaiting FDA approval for human use, it has potential applications. These include measuring the temperature of baby formula or assessing the heat of the pavement before taking a dog for a walk. Although it might have been more immediately relevant during the COVID-19 pandemic, the sensor’s utility remains intriguing. Its usefulness could also become more apparent with further testing and development.
The object temperature sensor in the Pixel 8 Pro offers numerous possible applications. Measuring the temperature of baby formula to ensure it’s just right. It will also help in gauging the heat of the pavement before taking your dog for a walk. These are some of the are practical examples of the temperature sensor. The sensor’s versatility offers many possibilities. However, its accuracy and reliability will need thorough testing to fully understand its capabilities and limitations.
Google Pixel 8 Pro is Cheaper than iPhone 15 Pro Max
Price plays a crucial role in choosing a Google Pixel device, and this remains true for the Pixel 8 Pro. Starting at $999, it offers a more budget-friendly option compared to the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which starts at $1,199. While the Pixel 8 Pro is $100 more than its predecessor, it’s important to note that it begins at 128GB of storage, whereas the iPhone starts at 256GB. Nonetheless, the lower starting price makes the Pixel 8 Pro an attractive choice for many consumers.
Indeed, the Google Pixel 8 Pro maintains its affordability advantage. Not only does the base model come at a lower starting price, but the cost of upgrading to higher storage tiers is also more reasonable, with just a $60 increase per level. In contrast, Apple’s pricing strategy for the iPhone 15 Pro Max includes a steeper $200 increase for each subsequent storage tier. As long as Google continues with this pricing approach, it should remain an appealing selling point for the Pixel lineup.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the Google Pixel 8 Pro introduces several AI-driven camera enhancements, offering users more control and creative possibilities in photography. With features like Magic Editor, Best Take, and Zoom & Enhance, it aims to provide a superior photography experience. The addition of Audio Magic Eraser further improves video recording by eliminating unwanted background noise. Additionally, the Pixel 8 Pro’s advanced camera settings and customization options cater to photography enthusiasts.
It also boasts a brighter display than the iPhone 15 Pro Max. This makes it more suitable for outdoor use in bright sunlight. The promise of seven years of system updates sets the Pixel 8 Pro apart, ensuring long-term software support until 2030. The object temperature sensor, although awaiting FDA approval for human use, has intriguing potential applications.
Lastly, the Pixel 8 Pro maintains its affordability advantage. It offers a more budget-friendly option compared to the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Overall, while both phones have their strengths, the Pixel 8 Pro excels in various areas. This makes it a compelling choice for users seeking advanced camera capabilities, long-term software support, and value for money.
Our iPhones have replaced the traditional calendars, clocks, and whatnot. I don’t remember the last time I used an alarm clock. In fact, many users completely rely on their phones to get up on time. But what if your iPhone alarm isn’t going off? You get up late and miss an important meeting, and it affects your entire day, right? If the alarm isn’t working on your iPhone, you’ve landed at the right place. In this article, we’ve listed ways to fix iPhone alarm not going off problems. Whether your iPhone alarm isn’t making a sound, or it sometimes doesn’t go off on time, this article will help you fix all such issues. So, let’s begin and get the alarm to work on your iPhone again.
1. Check the volume and alarm sound
This might sound obvious but low volume is one of the most overlooked reasons why your iPhone alarm didn’t make a noise. It’s worth knowing that the alarm volume matches the overall volume on your iPhone. So, the first thing you need to check is your iPhone’s volume, and turn it up to a clearly audible level, if it’s too low. Here’s how to do it:
Use the Volume Up button on your iPhone to turn up the alarm volume.
Alternatively, head to the Control Center on your iPhone and swipe up the volume slider to increase volume on your iPhone.
While you’re doing this, we would also suggest you check and pick a louder alarm sound. Some alarm sounds are soothing and quieter than others. These sounds are suitable for light sleepers. In case you’ve chosen an alarm sound that’s not loud enough for you, there are fair chances you won’t hear the sound. As a result, you might wonder why your iPhone alarms sometimes do not go off or why you don’t hear your iPhone alarms. Here’s how to change the alarm sound on your iPhone:
Open the Clock app on your iPhone.
Switch to the Alarms tab and tap on Edit from the top-left corner.
Tap on the alarm for which you want to change the sound and then tap on Sound to change the iPhone alarm sound.
Then, preview the sounds and choose the one that works for you.
2. Ensure you’ve set the correct alarm
The alarm on your iPhone won’t go off because you haven’t set it correctly. I know this might sound obvious but can happen with anyone, anytime. I often make a silly mistake- choosing PM instead of AM and vice versa. I was supposed to get up 6AM in the morning but my iPhone alarm didn’t go off because it was set for 6PM that day. Also, there can be instances when you’ve skipped some days while setting up a repeating alarm. As a result, you might end up with iPhone alarms sometimes not going off problems. This is pretty common when you edit an existing alarm.
To escape any issues, you should check the alarm settings. Here’s how to do it quickly:
Open the Clock app on your iPhone and tap on the Alarms tab.
Here, verify that you’ve set the correct time, and the toggle is turned ON for the alarms you need. Don’t forget to check the AM/PM.
You can also tap on individual alarms, tap on Repeat, and ensure that you haven’t missed any days.
3. Disconnect any Bluetooth devices
Another reason why you didn’t hear your iPhone alarm is because you’ve connected Bluetooth headphones, earbuds, speakers, or even wired earphones to your iPhone. In such a case, the alarm will play through the connected device, and you might or not hear anything. This depends on how your ringer and volume settings are configured, and, obviously where your connected accessories are located when the alarm makes a noise. To avoid any issues, disconnect the devices and you’ll now hear the alarm via the built-in speakers on your iPhone.
4. Check your iPhone Sleep settings
If you’ve enabled sleep schedule on your iPhone, it can interfere with the alarm sounds on your iPhone especially if the wake-up time is set the same as your iPhone alarm. To avoid conflicts, you can change the alarm time or the sleep settings. Here’s how to change your iPhone sleep settings.
Go to the Health app on your iPhone and switch to the Browse tab.
Then, tap on Sleep.
Scroll down and tap on Full Schedule & Options. Then, tap on Edit.
You can now change the Wake up time using the circular slider and tap on Done.
Alternatively, you can scroll down a little and choose to Delete Schedule.
5. Delete all alarms and set afresh
Some users reported that deleting all alarms and setting them again helped fix alarms not working on iPhone issue. So, there’s no harm in giving it a try. Open the Clock app on your phone and switch to the Alarms tab. Then, swipe left on each alarm to delete them one by one. The other way is to tap Edit on the top-left corner, and tap on the red ‘-‘ (minus) icon next to each alarm. Lastly, you can also turn off all alarms at once using Siri. Just invoke Siri and say “Turn off all alarms”.
Once you’ve done this, create new alarms on your iPhone.
6. Use the default Clock app
Your iPhone alarm might not ring if you’re using a third-party alarm or clock app. The downloaded app might not seamlessly integrate into your iPhone as the built-in Clock app. As a result, it might throw some issues or interfere with the Clock app on your iPhone. This could trigger iPhone alarm not ringing problems. To fix this, you must delete the downloaded clock/alarms app and stick to the Apple’s Clock app.
If ditching the third-party app doesn’t fix the problem, move to the below steps.
7. Restart your iPhone
Some temporary software glitches might prevent your iPhone’s Clock app from working properly. One of the most productive ways to rule out this issue is to restart your device. We know this hack might sound old-school, but it’s still one of the best ways to fix your smartphone if it’s throwing any problem or isn’t working properly. When you restart your iPhone, it clears the cache, removes minor bugs, and reinstates RAM to give a fresh start to the system. In case you’re a beginner, here’s a complete guide to restart any iPhone model.
8. Update iOS
While restarting can fix iPhone alarm not going off issues, they might resurface again after a certain period. Thankfully, Apple regularly releases software updates with bug fixes, security patches, and improvements. If some software bugs are responsible for why your iPhone alarm isn’t working, updating iOS can be a potential fix. In fact, it’s a solution to fix several bugs and glitches on an iPhone. So, it’s worth giving it a try.
Head to the Settings app on your iPhone and visit the General section.
Then, tap on Software Update.
If a more recent version of iOS is available, download and install it.
9. Reset All Settings
If none of the above steps worked for you, it indicates there’s a specific setting that’s interfering with your iPhone’s Clock app. And, that’s the reason why iPhone alarm isn’t working for you. In such cases, the best solution is to reset all settings on your iPhone. Doing this will reset all your iPhone settings to their defaults without deleting any data. Therefore, there’s no need to back up your iPhone. Here’s how to do it:
Go to iPhone’s Settings and tap on General.
Then, scroll down to the bottom and tap on Transfer or Reset iPhone.
Next, tap on Reset and choose Reset All Settings from the list.
Next up, enter your iPhone’s passcode when prompted.
Finally, tap on Reset All Settings to confirm your decision.
It’s worth mentioning that in case this hack doesn’t work, the last resort is to factory reset your iPhone. This will erase your iPhone contents and restore all the settings to their defaults. Yes, this is a time-consuming process as you’ll have to back up your data beforehand. That said, it also works in cases where everything else has failed. So, you can give it a try. Before you begin, make sure to back up your iPhone or else you’ll lose all your important data. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to reset your iPhone.
If you’re still out of luck, it’s time to contact Apple support. There might be some hardware issue or a complex bug that can’t be fixed at your end. In such cases, the best is to head to the nearest Apple service center to get your iPhone diagnosed. If your iPhone is under the warranty, you don’t have to worry about anything. Make sure to stay away from any cheaper alternatives or DIYs (unless you’re a trained hardware professional) as they can void the warranty and can even cause further damage to your beloved iPhone.
Well, those were the 10 ways to fix alarm not working iPhone problems. We hope this troubleshooting guide helped you get rid of those annoying issues, and that you were able to get alarms working again properly on your iPhone. Which trick worked for you? Don’t forget to share your experiences in the comments below.
Over the past few years, PC manufacturers have been showing a slow but steady pace in terms of making advancements in foldable laptops. We have a couple of good options in the market, which include the Lenovo foldable ThinkPad and Asus foldable Zenbook. But the most interesting release has to be the HP Spectre Fold.
Wondering why? Most of the 17-inch foldable laptops are over three pounds. HP took care of that by making the Spectre Fold weigh under this mark, which is pretty impressive for a 17-inch device. Moreover, HP’s offering boasts the title of the world’s thinnest and smallest 17-inch foldable PC, which is a big standout feature.
Now, while the Spectre Fold had limited availability during the initial launch, HP has just expanded it to the global market. It became official for the international market with the HP Imagine 2023 event that took place recently.
Core Specs of HP Spectre Fold PC
At the core, the HP Spectre Fold is a 3-in-1 notebook. The 3-in-1 nature of the laptop means that you can use the device as a desktop, tablet, or laptop. When it’s laid flat, it becomes a full-fledged 17-inch tablet. Get the built-in kickstand and connect it to a keyboard, and it becomes a 17-inch laptop/PC. Alternatively, you can use it by folding it at 90 degrees. That would make it a 12.3-inch clamshell laptop.
It has a tall 17-inch foldable OLED panel with a 2.5K resolution. This touchscreen features HDR, 500 nits of HDR brightness, up to 400 nits of SDR brightness, and 99.5% DCI-P3 color gamut.
Inside, the HP Spectre Fold PC comes with an Intel Core-7 1250U processor. It’s paired up with 16GB Of LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB of NVMe PCIe Gen SSD. To power these internals, the foldable PC boasts a 6-cell 94.3Wh battery pack, which charges via the included 100W USB-C power adapter.
HP promises a battery life of up to 12.5 hours in the foldable mode and up to 11.75 hours of battery life in the detachable mode. Besides, the HP Spectre Fold PC comes with a 5MP IR camera with a privacy switch. And for audio, the foldable PC features Bang & Olufsen quad speakers with DTS:X Ultra and HP Audio Boost.
Gizchina News of the week
Additionally, the Spectre Fold PC comes with a Bluetooth keyboard, which is detachable. You will also find a rechargeable MPP2.0 Tilt Pen stylus,
The other highlights of the foldable PC include Thunderbolt 4, 5 PIN ports, and Windows 11 Home. And as mentioned earlier, the Spectre Fold PC is extremely light for its kind. It weighs just 1.35 kilograms without the keyboard, which is around 2.97 pounds.
Pricing and Availability
Both the Zenbook Fold from Asus and the ThinkPad X1 Fold from Lenovo were impressive devices. But they didn’t have what it took to be a worthy purchase at a luxury price point. For example, the X1 Fold features a terrible battery, and its keyboard is very small for typing comfortably.
On the other hand, the Asus Zenbook Fold has a good overall design with a spectacular 17-inch screen. However, it suffers from various software glitches. HP has addressed these issues with the Spectre Fold. But that still doesn’t make it offer a high value.
After all, foldable laptops are still in their early stage. And the pricing would only go down when more and more manufacturers start to offer them.
Nonetheless, the HP Spectre Fold is currently available for pre-orders in the US with a price tag of 4,999 USD. It was initially launched in the UK alongside the US in September. With the HP Imagine 2023 event, the foldable PC is making its way to Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Australia, Indonesia, Korea, New Zealand, Singapore, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
Without a strong female character, the protagonist trio in every Shonen anime is incomplete. The magnificent Nobara Kugisaki in Jujutsu Kaisen only serves as more evidence of it. She attracted a sizable following after her debut and even took home the “Best Female Character” award at the 2022 Crunchyroll Anime Awards. Kugisaki quickly rose to prominence as one of the top female characters in Jujutsu Kaisen as well as the history of anime. However, Nobara’s story had a tragic outcome in the Shibuya Incident arc. Every single fan, including me, was heartbroken by this incident. But there is still a big mystery around Nobara’s death in JJK. So, to learn whether Nobara Kugisaki is dead or alive in Jujutsu Kaisen, read on.
Spoilers Warning: This article includes spoilers for Nobara Kugisaki’s character in Jujutsu Kaisen. We suggest you watch the anime and read the manga to avoid ruining the intended experience.
Who Is Nobara Kugisaki in Jujutsu Kaisen?
Image Courtesy: Jujutsu Kaisen by MAPPA Studios (Fandom)
Nobara Kugisaki is one of the supporting characters in the Jujutsu Kaisen, serving as the tritagonist. Nobara was introduced as a first-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High and began working as a Grade 3 jujutsu sorcerer. She is also a part of the protagonist trio along with Itadori Yuji and Megumi Fushiguro and plays a vital role in the series.
Nobara was shaping up to be a stronger character in the series. And as a testament to that, she truly unleashed her potential and showed it on numerous occasions. Just when we thought she was starting to achieve peaks in her Jujutsu, she was met with tragedy.
Was Nobara Killed in Jujutsu Kaisen Manga?
Nobara’s death was not at all imminent and happened all of a sudden. So let’s take a look at how really things went down leading to her death.
The Shibuya Incident arc turned out to be a massive battle royale-like incident, as we can see all the characters battling out for their lives and the greater good. On October 31st, 2023, this is when the dreadful battle between Nobara and Mahito begins. Nobara Kugisaki really wanted to knock Mahito out of the park as it would serve as a big W to the sorcerers.
When the battle kickstarted, Nobara put on a stellar performance against Mahito and caused several fatal injuries to him. Nobara hugely succeeded in injuring his soul, which made him pull back from the battle.
Image Courtesy: Jujutsu Kaisen by Gege Akutami (Fandom)
Mahito realized the bloody potential of Nobara and her techniques and there was only one way he could emerge as the winner in this fight. And that was to perform a sneaky move and outplay her, which led to Nobara’s death eventually.
Even when Itadori realized this move and warned Nobara to run away, it was already late. Mahito successfully pulled off his sneak attack by creating a double and catching her off-guard. Since Nobara badly wanted to defeat Mahito, she let her guard down and thought the double was the original body. Mahito instantly utilized this opening and landed a blow (based on Idle Transfiguration) to Nobara’s face. Nobara Kugisaki became a bit overconfident, which ultimately led to her getting killed by Mahito in Jujutsu Kaisen manga chapter 124.
There is a popular saying or belief that on the brink of one’s death, one will experience their life’s moments flashing before their eyes. It was the same here as upon receiving a brutal hit to the face, Kugisaki recalled her past favorite memories on the edge of death. Her last words were “Tell everyone it wasn’t so bad” to Itadori. And these last words can be taken as a huge confirmation of Nobara’s status in JJK.
These last words during Nobara’s death were so painful and crushing that they offered a bittersweet moment from nowhere. In chapter 126 of Jujutsu Kaisen, we see Nobara lying on the floor with half of her face disfigured by Mahito’s bloody attack. Honestly, this wound looked like there was no coming back from that. Itadori stood there frozen looking upon his best friend’s death, and well, our reaction was just the same.
Nobara’s Current Status in Jujutsu Kaisen
Image Courtesy: Jujutsu Kaisen by Gege Akutami (Viz Media, Shonen Jump)
Even though it looks like Nobara Kugisaki is now dead in Jujutsu Kaisen, in reality, it has not been confirmed. The last time fans ever saw her was in manga chapter 126, which makes us ponder whether is Nobara dead or alive. In the next chapter, Nobara’s death is mentioned again along with Kento Nanami’s by Aratta Nitto. This is because both the loss of Nobara and Nanami occurred at the hands of Mahito.
Fast forward to chapter 144 in Itadori’s Extermination arc, Yuji asks Megumi about Nobara’s status. To which, Megumi reacts in silence and the focus and sad reaction of Itadori also acts as an indirect confirmation of Nobara Kugisaki’s death in JJK. Furthermore, he clenches his fist and says “I get it,” which is basically accepting the loss.
No Mention of Nobara’s Death in JJK Manga
While this could be the confirmation we were waiting for, the silence could also mean her status remains critical or unknown. There is no direct mention or official confirmation regarding whether is Nobara dead or alive in the manga so far. Additionally, the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom website also mentions Nobara’s current status as “Unknown“. This led to the fans believing Nobara is still somewhere alive and there are many theories out there now.
Prior to Nobara’s fight with Mahito, it is mentioned that she could feel the core of cursed energy. If you are wondering why I’m mentioning this now, it’s because it’s the same as how Gojo felt on the brink of death and was able to come back from the grave. He used reverse cursed technique to heal himself and cheated death basically. That could happen here as well, and Nobara Kugisaki could make a great comeback to the series.
Our Prediction of Nobara’s Status in JJK
After summarizing all the information we have regarding Nobara’s fight, death, and the conversations afterward, we can conclude that her current status is unknown. There have been plenty of indirect confirmations of Kugisaki’s death, the most prominent being Yuji seeing her lying on the floor all cold and distant. but nothing has been directly mentioned or officially confirmed as of now. So, stay tuned as we hope to see Nobara coming back. In the meantime, what do you think about Nobara’s current status in JJK, share your theories in the comment section below.

It’s finally time to see the last character closing out the second season of content for The King of Fighters 15, and a lot of fans are hopefully going to be pretty happy with the reveal.
SNK announced tonight that Hinako Shijo as the final addition to KOF15 Season 2 with a new trailer.
Unfortunately, there was no actual gameplay shown off in the new video, but we do get to see what looks like Hinako’s pre-battle introduction where her design is looking pretty darn close to her classic outfit.
Despite her small stature (standing at only around 5’1″), she is powerful Sumo wrestler, so we can expect she’ll probably be keeping her signature slaps and grabs while hopefully some new toys to play with too.
Hinako was first made playable all the way back in King of Fighters 2000 as part of the Women Fighters Team alongside Mai, Yuri and Kasumi although she hasn’t been included in a roster since KOF 2002 Unlimited Match — so it’s been going on 14 years at this point.
No release date was provided, but since she’s still listed for Winter, a trailer drop now means Hinako is likely coming sometime in December.
Hinako joins the likes of Shingo Yabuki, Kim Kaphwan, Sylvie Paula Paula, Najd and Duo Lon plus Goenitz to close out Season 2 for KOF15.
Although there’s no confirmation of a Season 3, SNK’s latest post seems to suggest more will be coming with the “next DLC character announcement coming this Winter!” — but perhaps it’s just awkwardly phrased to mean Miss Shijo.

After a long wait, Google finally released the Pixel 8 series, and the Pixel 8 is the smallest Pixel in the roster since the last two Pixel releases. This not only makes it a compact offering but the new feature set and the improvements done to Android 14 ensure it’s easy for one-handed usage. When you buy a new device, one of the first things you look for online is protective cases to protect your new Pixel. It can be hard to settle for a protective case because as soon as a new device hits the shelves, there’s an overwhelming flow of different types of covers in the market. To make it easier for you to decide which case to pick, here are the best Pixel 8 cases and covers you can buy.
1. Spigen Thin Fit Case for Pixel 8
If you have purchased a high-quality case before, you may have heard of Spigen. The brand is really popular and is known for its premium-looking cases. After being on a hiatus and not making covers for the Pixel 7 series, they are back with a few new cases for the Pixel 8 series. The Thin Fit cases, as the name suggests, are for those who find the usual cases bulky. The case, while adding less bulk than regular cases, has raised lips to protect your phone’s display; And given it’s Spigen, the quality for your bucks should also be high.

2. Cyrill UltraColor Pixel 8 Case
Cyrill is another popular brand when it comes to smartphone cases. They market their cases as minimalistic and made from high-quality materials. The UltraColor case for Pixel 8 is a thin case with raised lips to protect the display and comes in two colors — Kale and Dusk. It’s made of TPU material and is highly elastic and dust-free. Overall, it’s definitely one of the best cases you can buy for your Pixel 8.

3. Caseology Capella Clear Case
Caseology is a Spigen subsidiary that also makes some great smartphone cases. We mentioned their Parallax case in our Pixel 8 Pro cases guide because it’s one of the best cases you can buy for the Pro variant, and Capella is no different for the Pixel 8.
For starters, it’s a clear, transparent case, which is great for showing off the bright colors of Pixels this year. Besides, the case is military-grade drop-tested and is a bit on the expensive side.

4. COFFKER Liquid Silicone Pixel 8 Case
Coffker is another reputed brand when it comes to cases and they have got quite the Pixel 8 cases collection. For starters, Coffker’s Liquid Silicone case for Pixel 8 comes in nine colors and our favorite has to be the Pine Green. It has a soft microfiber lining inside and is quite slim. For an asking price of under $15 on Amazon, it’s a good-looking pastel case.

5. Spigen Ultra Hybrid Case
If you are not a fan of Spigen’s opaque and rugged cases, you might want to look at their Ultra Hybrid series. As you may have guessed, it’s completely transparent, and while its torso is completely plastic, the sides and upper region are made of silicone for better protection. Like any Spigen case, it has raised lips to protect the display, and for around $15, you certainly cannot go wrong with this one.

6. Ringke Onyx Grip Case
Ringke makes great cases too. The brand has been in the business for as long as we can remember and is now selling cases for the Pixel 8 series. As of writing this, Ringke has two types of cases for the Pixel 8 – a fully transparent one and a grip case. Both cost $15, are military-grade drop-tested, and also have, what the brand calls, anti-fingerprint technology to resist oil smudges and fingerprints.

7. Otterbox Defender Case
For those who like to adventure, go camping, and climb hills, the aforementioned cases are not meant to handle immense pressure, and for those, OtterBox has introduced a Pixel 8 case in their Defender lineup. The case costs $65, which is a lot of money, and you may not be able to argue its worth, but you could be 100% sure that it’ll save your new Pixel from any kind of terrain.

8. Foluu Silicone Case for Pixel 8
The Foluu silicone case is currently the highest-rated case for Pixel 8 on Amazon and for good reasons. While it’s not as rugged as the Spigen Hybrid cases or the OtterBox case, it offers decent protection for under $10. It comes with raised lips around the screen edges and camera visor. What’s better is it’s available in a variety of colors. The case also has a microfiber lining inside.
