The Redmi K70 Ultra seems to follow in the footsteps of younger siblings. It has a similar rectangular camera module; however, the camera sensors are now square compared to the circular ones in the previous models. Apart from this small difference, the rest of the design seems similar. The rectangular camera module is a matter of personal taste as people may like and some may prefer something more elegant. The phone is shown in a violet color option which looks aesthetically pleasing. The front side has a punch-hole and the display also has slim bezels.

Gizchina News of the week

So far, Redmi (via Weibo) has revealed a few specifications of the phone. One of the biggest highlights is that it will be the first smartphone to use a new display that is developed jointly by TCL. It will have a resolution of  1220p and will also have 120Hz high refresh rate support.

One more highlight of the device is the Dimensity 9300+ chipset. It is one of the fastest processors in the market making it an ideal choice for gamers. The processor has an average AnTuTu score of 2.3M+, which is quite high. Moreover, to keep the phone cool during heavy usage, it has a new 3D heat dissipation solution. Redmi claims that it can lower the temperature by up to 3°C. Hence, it seems that Redmi will target gamers and heavy users with the K70 Ultra smartphone.

From the teasers, we can assume that the phone will be a performance-oriented device. However, being an Ultra phone, Redmi should also focus on the camera department. Also, it will be interesting to see the price range of the phone since there is a lot of competition such as the Realme GT 6 that has Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for a competitive price.

That said, the release date of the phone is not finalized yet. However, with the official teasers coming, we will not be surprised to see the phone being launched in the coming weeks.
