After days of teasers, the arrival of the Realme Neo7 has been confirmed. The brand has announced that the Neo7 will be unveiled in China on December 11 at 4 PM local time. According to a post on Realme’s official Weibo account, the Neo7 is set to deliver flagship-level performance and exceptional durability.
Realme Neo7 – New “mid-range e-Sports flagship”
Unfortunately, the company did not give further details about the smartphones or their specifications. So far, all we know comes from the leaks and teasers from the past few days. As usual in this series, the Realme GT Neo7 will be below the flagships Realme GT7 and GT7 Pro. However, Realme has decided to separate the Neo from the GT series, making it a standalone lineup.
Gizchina News of the week
Realme has confirmed that the Neo7 will be priced below CNY 2,499 (approximately $345/€325/INR 29,120) in China, likely for the base model. The company also revealed that the Neo7 will feature a battery capacity exceeding 6,500 mAh and an IP rating higher than IP68, indicating superior water and dust resistance.
The new Realme Neo7 series
Earlier this month, Realme’s VP and Global Marketing President Xu Qi Chase announced that the Neo series would separate from the GT series. The Realme GT series will be the brand’s high-end “performance flagship series”, while the Neo will be the “mid-range e-sports flagship”. We don’t know exactly what the brand plans with the change, but hopefully the Neo series will bring some flagship processors. The executive promised the Neo series will have three key priorities – “cross-level performance, leading gaming experience, and technological trend design”.
Tipster Digital Chat Sation shared a Neo7 AnTuTu score of 2.4 million a few weeks back. It’s not far off the 2.7m of the GT7 Pro. So, apparently, the phone will bring a flagship CPU. Perhaps, one from the last year like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.
We expect the leakers and teasers to intensify in the coming weeks.
