THE JOB AT A GLANCE

  • To provide guidance on the day-to-day responsibilities of the stores controller and their role in the inbound department.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Manage the receiving of Packaging and raw materials for Boksburg site.
  • Coach and managing the Inbound team.
  • Ensuring that all materials are received as per the SOP.
  • Managing the materials call-off from suppliers and external warehouse.
  • Ensuring the treatment of the dry beans is executed as per the intervals.
  • Providing monthly feedback to the team on the Inbound KPI’s.
  • Driving continuous improvement projects within the department
  • Management of the pallet repair centre onsite.
  • Management of the returnable flow and following up on the credits with Account department and suppliers.
  • Ensure transactions are done timeously to ensure accurate MUV reporting.
  • Ensure materials are supplied to the production units continuously to eliminate unplanned line stoppage.
  • Reduced write-offs’ through managing expiring material.
  • Management of the fresh vegetables supply and eliminate waste.
  • Conducting stock count and investigating variances.
  • Creating and managing internal orders.
  • Manage and arrange shunting transport.
  • Compliance to SARS Rebate requirements.
  • Drive and Manage Safety & Environmental compliance in your responsible area.
  • Management of the weigh bridge operation and ensuring the SOP is adhered to.
  • Ensuring compliance to FSSC 22000.
  • Ensuring compliance to MARSH requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance to FRC and CSA.
  • Managing of CHEP equipment

Qualifications

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management or equivalent

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment (preferably FMCG)
