The champions of France are getting ready for the upcoming season, preparing for life in Paris without star man, Kylian Mbappe.
The striker has recently completed a deal with Real Madrid, seeing him move to the Spanish capital on a free transfer at the end of his contract.
The 25-year-old has been essential to PSG’s success, netting 256 goals and grabbing 108 assists in 308 games for the French club across all competitions in his six years for the club.
Being such a prolific goal scorer, it’s no surprise that the World Cup winner has an incredible 13 Golden Boots and three French Footballer of the Year awards to his name already.
As Mbappe has helped PSG to six Ligue 1 titles and nine domestic cup titles, the French club have massive shoes to fill in replacing their key man.
Reports from TalkSport claim that the Ligue 1 club are turning to United to help them defend their place at the top of French football.
The report explains that PSG are reigniting their interest in Marcus Rashford, despite his recent run of poor performances.
With only eight goals this season, Rashford’s future at Old Trafford is unclear having been left out of United’s “untouchable” list for this transfer window, meaning that for the right price, the Red Devils are happy to part ways with the winger.
If United were to sell Rashford, not only would it bring in funds to support their squad rebuild project this summer, with a number of targets on Erik ten Hag’s list, but as a United academy graduate, the sale would represent pure profit under the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules.
It’s understood that the French club are awaiting a sign that Rashford is open to the move before submitting any initial bid.
