The Poco F7 Ultra hasn’t hit stores yet, but GSMArena already got their hands on it early. Naturally, they wasted no time and ran some benchmarks to see how it stacks up. This time around, Poco is aiming higher. The F-series has always flirted with flagship-level performance, but often used slightly older chips. Remember the F5 Pro with its Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1? Or the F6 Pro, running last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2? Even the standard Poco F6 used the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, which, while solid, isn’t cutting-edge.
The Poco F7 Ultra changes that. It’s the first F-series phone to wear the “Ultra” badge, and it’s clear why. Under the hood, it packs Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite—making no compromises this time.
Hardware Overview: What’s Inside
Both the Ultra and Pro models start with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, but there’s room to upgrade. The F7 Ultra offers a beefier 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant, while the Pro tops out at 12/512GB. Naturally, we ran all our tests on the upgraded Ultra model.
Benchmark Numbers: How It Stacks Up
In the testing, the F7 Ultra delivered strong results across the board. In GeekBench 6, it performed well, though some competing phones using the same Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset edged it out under heavier loads.
Where it really shines is when compared to phones using last year’s chips. Devices like the OnePlus 13R (Snapdragon 8 Gen 3), the vivo X200 (Dimensity 9400), or the Xiaomi 14T (Dimensity 9300+) can’t quite match the Ultra’s numbers. So if you’re comparing against non-Elite rivals, Poco definitely has the upper hand.
Stress Testing: CPU & GPU Performance
GSMArena also checked how the POCO F7 Ultra handles sustained performance. Under prolonged load, the CPU throttling graph showed a pretty standard decline—maybe a little steeper than some competitors, but nothing to worry about. Interestingly, the 3DMark Wild Life Extreme stress test revealed slightly better GPU stability, staying consistent even after extended use.
To sum it up: POCO F7 Ultra is not topping every chart, but it holds its ground. For a device expected to come in at a more accessible price point, it performs where it counts.
