  • EXCLUSIVE: Police Arrest Nigerian Soldier, One Other Over Alleged Robbery, Car Theft

The duo was later arrested by policemen while transporting the stolen car to the South-South part of the country.

The police have arrested a Nigerian soldier for alleged carjacking and armed robbery.

Sources told SaharaReporters that the soldier connived with a civilian to steal a Toyota Hilux vehicle in Lagos.

The duo was later arrested by policemen while transporting the stolen car to the South-South part of the country.

When confronted, SaharaReporters learned that the soldier, attached to Operation Delta Safe in Bayelsa, identified himself to the police as a military officer in an attempt to make away with the vehicle.

“The civilian and the soldier stole the Hilux in Lagos. The soldier then followed him for clearance at checkpoints on the highway. The soldier is serving with Operations Delta Safe Bayelsa. They wanted to sell the Hilux and were tracked by the police,” the source said.

This comes just weeks after a soldier was arrested by police for alleged armed robbery and attempted murder, following the severing of a limb belonging to a Minna-based businessman, Abdulrahman Salihu.

Sadiq Sani, a Nigerian Army private, reportedly attacked Mr Salihu on Eid-el-Fitr day at the businessman’s clothing shop, Premium Times reported.

Eyewitnesses said the soldier approached the shop to purchase a set of shirts and requested the shop owner’s bank account details to transfer the money.

When the trader reportedly refused to release the items until the payment was confirmed, the suspect allegedly brought out a knife and stabbed Mr Salihu multiple times, severing one of his arms before fleeing the scene.

  • How to Install Windows 11 on an Incompatible Windows 10 PC

Microsoft will no longer provide security updates and support for Windows 10 from October 14, 2025, unless you’re willing to pay for the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program. This leaves three realistic choices for most: upgrade to Windows 11, pay for continued support, or run an unsupported operating system.

Here’s How to Upgrade to Windows 11, Even on Unsupported PCs

However, Windows 11 is not always an easy upgrade—especially if your PC is more than five years old. Microsoft’s stringent hardware requirements mean a number of older computers aren’t eligible for the upgrade through official channels. But that doesn’t mean you’re out of luck.

In this tutorial, we’ll guide you through two upgrade paths: one for partly compatible PCs and one for older systems through an unofficial workaround.

Why Most Older PCs Can’t Upgrade to Windows 11

Microsoft has placed stringent hardware restrictions on Windows 11 installations:

    • CPU Compatibility: Only CPUs that are on Microsoft’s white list are compatible. Most older CPUs are not.
    • TPM Requirement: A Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0 must be present and enabled. (TPM 1.2 may work in some circumstances.)
    • UEFI and Secure Boot: Your computer must be running UEFI (not legacy BIOS), and although Secure Boot does not have to be enabled, it must be supported.

If you try to upgrade an older computer using Windows Update or the Windows 11 Installation Assistant, you’ll likely hit a brick wall since one or more of these features are not present. Fear not, there are workarounds.

First, however: Check Your PC’s Compatibility

Use these tools to determine your PC’s current configuration:

    • System Info Tool (msinfo32): Look at the BIOS Mode entry. If it says “Legacy,” you’ll need to convert your system to UEFI and switch from MBR to GPT disk formatting before upgrading.
    • TPM Management Tool (tpm.msc): This will show whether a TPM is present and enabled. If the utility says “Compatible TPM cannot be found,” you may have to enable TPM in your BIOS or use the second upgrade path.
    • CPU Support for SSE4.2 and PopCnt: These are newer instruction sets required for Windows 11 version 24H2 and later. They are implemented in most Intel CPUs from 2009+ and AMD CPUs from 2013+.

Option 1: Upgrade Using a Registry Tweak (For Semi-Compatible PCs)

This is the ideal approach if your PC has UEFI, Secure Boot support, and a TPM (version 1.2 or above), but an unsupported processor is installed.

    Step-by-Step Instructions:

    1. Edit the Registry to Bypass CPU/TPM Checks

    • Press Windows + R, type regedit, and press Enter.
    • Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\MoSetup
    • If there is no MoSetup, create one:
    • Right-click the Setup folder > New > Key > Name it “MoSetup.”.
    • Right-click on the right pane > New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.
    • Name it: AllowUpgradesWithUnsupportedTPMOrCPU
    • Double-click the new value and give Value Data the value of 1.
    • Restart your PC.

    2. Download the Windows 11 ISO

    • Visit the official Microsoft website: Download Windows 11
    • Click on “Download Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO)” for x64 machines.
    • Save it in your Downloads folder.

    3. Mount the ISO in File Explorer

Double-click the ISO file. It will mount as a virtual DVD drive with a new drive letter.

    4. Run Setup from the ISO

    • Open the mounted drive, and double-click Setup.exe.
    • You’ll see a compatibility warning. Click Accept to bypass it.
    • Choose one of the following:
    • Full Upgrade: Keep apps, settings, and files.
    • Keep Data Only: Reset apps and settings.
    • Clean Install: Wipes everything.
    • Windows will now begin the upgrade process.

Option 2: Use Rufus for Unsupported PCs (Legacy BIOS, No TPM)

In case your PC does not support it at all—no TPM, no Secure Boot, or even still on Legacy BIOS—you will need to take a different route. That is where Rufus, a free, powerful utility, comes in.

    How It Works

Rufus creates a bootable Windows 11 USB installer, disabling hardware requirement checks along the way. It’s especially useful for PCs that would otherwise be blocked entirely.

Important: This procedure will not bypass the CPU requirements introduced in Windows 11 release 24H2, such as the SSE4.2 and PopCnt instruction sets.

    What You’ll Need:

    • A USB drive (16 GB or more)
    • A copy of the Windows 11 ISO
    • The Rufus application (version 4.6 or newer)

    Step-by-Step Instructions:

    • Download Rufus from the official website or Microsoft Store.
    • Open Rufus and insert your USB drive.
    • In “Boot Selection,” select Disk or ISO image, click Select, and pick the Windows 11 ISO.
    • Click Start.
    • A window will pop up with the title “Windows User Experience.” Check:
    • Remove requirement for TPM and Secure Boot
    • Remove requirement for 4GB+ RAM and Secure Boot, if required
    • Click OK, then wait for the USB creation.
    • When done, open the USB drive in File Explorer and run Setup.exe.
    • Do not boot from the USB drive and attempt a clean install—that will re-enable the compatibility checks. Always run Setup from within Windows.

Like with the first method, you’ll get a compatibility warning. Click through it, and the upgrade should proceed.

What If I Want a Clean Install?

You can always perform a clean installation by booting from the USB created in either method, but keep in mind:

    • All your files, apps, and settings will be erased.
    • A TPM and Secure Boot support is still needed (except with Rufus-modified installs).
    • You’ll need to reinstall your software and restore data from backups.

This is a great option if you’re starting fresh or experiencing performance issues on your current installation.

Final Thoughts: Should You Upgrade or Stay on Windows 10?

As Windows 10 is end-of-life in October 2025, staying on it without security updates is a risk. Even though Microsoft offers extended security updates, they’ll come at a cost.

For the majority of unsupported PC users, these options represent a viable way of staying on an up-to-date, secure operating system without breaking the bank for new hardware. With that said, however, if your computer is relatively old (pre-2010), it might be time to consider investing in a newer system.

Whichever direction you decide to go, make sure to back up your data before upgrading and research compatibility thoroughly to avoid any surprises during installation.

  • Tucker Carlson Sits Down with Conor McGregor

ER Editor: We preface the interview between Tucker Carlson and Conor McGregor below with these tweets from Tuesday, April 14. The interview was released this past Friday, April 18 —

Reporting on the night of April 15 for Gript.ie —

    ***

Intelligent commentary today from Mark Atwood (he lives in Ireland) on people remarking that the interview took place in a Masonic hall. Worth our time —

    ********

    NOTES

This interview was a crystal clear attack on a powerful, globalist-serving minority in the Irish government (or governments everywhere) who have been undermining the public’s concerns and needs for a very long time.

Themes that got emphasized were globalist misuse of public money, overspending of same, funnelling resources to migrants at the expense of the local people, &etc.  McGregor is a business owner, and a responsible entrepreneurial theme as well as ‘common sense’ was sounded throughout.

    ‘It’s a free-for-all with public wealth’

Tucker: The Irish are an island people, not colonizers. There are no national crimes to atone for. It’s clear from public advertising that indigenous people are nowhere to be found. Migration is at REPLACEMENT levels, which is a ‘treason’ on the people.

McGregor can’t actually run for president as things stand because approval from 4 county councils, dominated by established political parties, has to be obtained, or 20 nominations from ‘Oireachtas’, who are political party affiliates. This isn’t a democracy, notes Tucker.

Ordinary Irish people can no longer afford a normal family life of having several children; housing is unaffordable. Yet public money is given to migrants. McGregor itemizes how migrants get subsidized for many things that local people have to pay full fare for.

TC: It is an attempt to erase the people, to genocide them.

McGregor is fundraising to be able to run for President. The Irish-American diaspora has some donors with deep pockets apparently.

Mentioned: the EU Migration Pact that compulsorily distributes migrants around the continent. Ireland (not Northern Ireland) is in the EU. Religion: Ireland has been a Catholic country for many centuries. State media: that is ‘North Korean’.

Tucker got to say some bold things, making Conor look moderate, upbeat and bridge-building by comparison: ‘Ireland, you’re at war’; ‘Why doesn’t someone overthrow the government?’; ‘It’s a genocide of the people.’ And ‘you’re a decent man’.

TC: ‘Is it becoming more spiritually aware?’ CM:  ‘It’s spiritual warfare going on’. We at ER couldn’t agree more.

The Irish election must take place on or before November 11 of this year (11/11 for the gematria people). McGregor will keep requesting to participate within the allotted time frame.

From 6 days ago, see this report. Since McGregor’s presidential bid is unlikely, they won’t allow the Dublin mayor’s position to be directly elected by the people in case McGregor should decide to run: ‘Unlike the presidency, a directly elected mayor would wield significant powers, control a substantial budget, and have the ability to raise local taxes’

Government ‘shelving Dublin directly elected mayor plan over Conor McGregor fears’

  • CSO Reveals Bandit Strongholds In Sokoto, Urges Decisive Military Action

A prominent civil society organisation in Sokoto State, the Movement for Social Justice and Good Governance, has revealed key bandit strongholds in the state and called for decisive military action.

The group, through its coordinator, Basharu Guyawaz, told the media that Gwandi and Tsaika are some areas that the bandits and kidnappers are using to launch their operations.

He urged the military to launch a comprehensive operation to eliminate the bandits hiding in places like the eastern parts of Isa and Sabon Birni Local Government Areas.

Guyawa said his team has been monitoring the activities of criminal gangs and the efforts of security forces to flush them out.

According to Guyawa, the ongoing military offensives have recorded significant successes, particularly in the Gundumi forests stretching toward Kuyan-Bana and Gwauro Hills. He confirmed that notorious kingpins such as Kachalla Chomo and Kachalla Haru are under pressure as troops dismantle their hideouts.

He, however, urged the security agencies not to relent but to advance toward the Maberaya forest and Fakai axis to fully dominate the eastern border corridor. “This eastern axis, from Manawa and Gwandi to Tsaika, must be cleared and secured,” he said.

The activist also advised that the offensive should extend through Gatawa to Zango and link up with Burkusuma up to the Niger Republic border.

“If this is done thoroughly, not even bandit warlords like Bello Turji or any other criminal will find a safe haven in Eastern Isa and Sabon Birni,” he declared.

Guyawa said his suggestions were being presented to the relevant authorities in the spirit of national security improvement, rather than criticism.

The call for a comprehensive military operation comes amid growing concerns about the activities of bandits in the region, which have led to the loss of lives and property.

The activist’s proposal is aimed at ensuring the security of the area and preventing the bandits from causing further harm.

  • 77-year-old Nigerian Uber driver shot and k!lled while picking up passenger in US

Philadelphia police are searching for suspects accused of k!lling a 77-year-old Nigerian Uber driver, Olatunji Bolaji and shooting a 22-year-old man who he was picking up.

Police said the shooting happened outside the Byblos restaurant and hookah lounge in the 100 block of 18th Street at around 2 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2025.

“It appears that right before the shots were fired, there was some sort of physical altercation,” said Chief Inspector Scott Small.

The SUV the victims were in crashed around the corner on Chestnut Street, near the shooting.

Police said it all started as the 22-year-old was leaving the hookah lounge. Surveillance video being used as part of a police investigation shows the 22-year-old hugging people goodbye in front of a black SUV when two suspects run towards them

As he was getting into the backseat of an SUV driven by a 77-year-old Uber driver, police said a Jeep Grand Cherokee pulled up behind them, two males got out and started fighting with the younger man.

Police said at least one of the men from the Jeep fired four shots.

Investigators believe a bullet went through the headrest and struck the Uber driver, who was identified as Olatunji Bolaji, of Norristown.

Bolaji was still able to drive a short distance, turning onto Chestnut Street before crashing into a light pole.

“A 77-year-old male was half in the driver’s seat and his upper body was outside, lying on the street,” Small said. “He was suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the back of his head.

Bolaji was pronounced d3ad at the scene.

His family tells Action News they are heartbroken, adding that he was just a father doing his job to make a living.

“Our hearts break for the driver’s family and loved ones in the wake of this devastating loss. We’ve reached out to police to offer our support as they work to bring those responsible for this heinous act of violence to justice,” said a spokesperson for Uber.

The 22-year-old who was in the backseat was shot in the arm, stomach and chest. He is listed in critical condition at an area hospital

Police said witnesses got a look at the getaway vehicle, described as a newer model-dark colored Jeep Grand Cherokee.

“Possible Massachusetts tags. We’re not positive, but it appeared that it was Massachusetts tags because there was a license plate in the front and the back of that vehicle,” Small said.

Police say witnesses last saw the suspect’s car on Sansom Street.

Another rideshare driver said the drivers who work at night wait for bars to close.

“I’m so sorry that somebody had to lose his life over this. I just hope it’s not one of the guys that I used to talk to,” said the fellow rideshare driver.

Fabian Romero, who is with the Independent Drivers Guild, which represents ride-share drivers nationwide, says safety is a main concern.

“Right now, we’re forgotten. Nobody sees the things we live day by day. The problem we have day by day,” said Romero.

Romero says they’ll continue to advocate for better safety protocols to protect drivers, as well as honor Bolaji and his family.

“We support them. If anything we can do, we’re going to do it. We’re going to fight with the companies to try to get a better system or a better way to make a living for us,” he said.

People who live and work in the area say the gun violence is disturbing.

“I woke up to it and it was the first thing I saw on my phone. There’s never a dull moment on this street, you know,” said Mino Brone, who lives and works near Chestnut.

“I think it’s devastating. A lot of people do take Ubers back and forth, especially because of the trains. I feel like you should be safe, especially in Rittenhouse, because it is a safe area. But it’s really sad,” said Michelle Kao, who owns a spa on Chestnut.

The first episode began with the first season’s ending scene, in which Ellie asked Joel to swear that what he told her about the Fireflies is true. Joel lied, and Ellie got suspicious of him. That incident created a rift between them, and Ellie stopped recognizing him as a father figure.

Joel and Ellie came back to Jackson, Wyoming, and the former started working as a construction foreman. Dina and Jesse entered the picture, and we got to see Ellie falling for the former.

On the other side, Abby, the daughter of one of the fireflies whom Joel killed to save Ellie, is looking forward to avenging their death by killing Joel. In the concluding moments of the TLOU Season 2 Episode 1, she is heading towards Jackson with her allies.

Moreover, while patrolling, Dina and Ellie encounter Stalker, the most intelligent yet frustrating infected from video games. So, the further episodes of the new season won’t only see Ellie and Joel encountering Abby, but there will also be a massive army of the Walking Dead that they will need to fight.
