Samsung hasn’t launched One UI 7.0 yet, but leaks suggest some changes are coming. One big update is that users won’t be able to download new Edge Panels from the Galaxy Store after upgrading. However, any Edge Panels already installed before the update will still work. These can be found in the “My Apps” section of the Galaxy Store. But if you uninstall them after switching to One UI 7.0, you won’t be able to download them again.
One UI Edge Panels Leaving One UI 7
Edge Panels in Samsung’s One UI are a convenient feature. It allows users to access tools, apps, and shortcuts quickly by swiping in from the edge of the screen. This feature enhances multitasking, offering everything from app shortcuts and contacts to tasks, weather updates, and more—all in one swipe.

Interestingly, users with new devices running One UI 7.0 or later will still have access to Edge Panels. They will appear in the “My apps” section in the Galaxy Store. However, only those who previously installed it on their older devices will see them. We don’ know if this is temporary or Edge Panels access will remain for the future versions of the UI. It sounds like Samsung is leaving it for users for just a while. It the OS goes through complex changes in the future we may see this feature being terminated.
So, if you never used Edge Panels but plan to use them in the future, it may be a good idea to install and keep them saved in the My Apps section for later use.
