The One Piece manga is on a roll with the ongoing Elbaf arc. While we first believed Loki to be the main villain of the adventures on the giants’ island, the God’s Knights unexpectedly stole the spotlight to become the primary antagonists of this arc. Since then, we have been waiting for a matchup between our Straw Hat Pirates and the God’s Knights, and it has finally become a reality in One Piece chapter 1145.
In the latest chapter of the One Piece manga, the Straw Hats, who teamed up with Colon, step in to help the giants with the upheaval of their lands. The imminent danger that needs to be resolved first is that the hypnotized giant kids were walking toward the wildfire.
Even when the firefighters struggle to put out the fire, Jinbe comes to the rescue and perfectly uses his mastery over water to take the water from the sea clouds and extinguish the flames.
Gunko, who was enjoying seeing the children heading toward the fire, immediately found the saviors. The Holy Knights member boards Colon’s ship and confronts the group of Straw Hats, including Usopp, Nami, Jinbe, and, more importantly, Brook.

Furthermore, Scopper Gaban is confirmed to have an advanced form of Observation Haki as the old man immediately sensed the presence of three Holy Knights members. As Gunko is currently planning to abduct Gaban’s kid, Colon, the old man will rush to save his son. Therefore, we can expect an epic battle between Gunko and Gaban. Of course, the Straw Hats will also lend their hands during this fight.
More and more theories keep coming up that say Gunko is expected to betray the Holy Knights. The confrontation with the Straw Hats, especially Brook, will reveal her motives. So, let us patiently wait until the next chapter’s release to find out the true nature of Gunko’s character.
