The Strands today was pretty easy and I had a field day with it. The theme was an instant giveaway, and in no time, I was done solving it. What is the Theme for Today’s NYT Strands?
As revealed by the New York Times, the theme for today’s Strands is “Camouflage.”
Like I said, the theme of today’s game was not difficult to decode for me, thankfully. It instantly made me think of a chameleon, and I was not too far off. I’ll take you through the details in a bit. Meanwhile, let me give you the hints for today’s Spangram and theme words. So, if you’re ready, read on.

Every Strands game has that one Spangram that you need to decipher. Today’s Spangram was no exception and the hint is – “One with the environment”.

Now, if you have figured out the Spangram from the above hint, figuring out the theme words will understandably be fairly easy. However, I don’t want to ruin it for you. Instead, here are hints to 2 out of 6 theme words that may help you:

Spangram Answer for NYT Strands on March 30
The Spangram for today’s NYT Strands is SPOTTY, as in spotted animals. It runs from left to right on the letters grid.

Anyway, with that being said, let’s go to the next section. However, proceed only if you are ready to check out the theme words.

If you have scrolled this far, you are probably ready to see the answers. So, let’s take a look at today’s theme words in Strands:
- HYENA
- GIRAFFE
- CHEETAH
- LEOPARD
- LADYBUG
- DALMATIAN
As I said before, the theme was easy to decode. Like I said, it made me think of a chameleon. And when I couldn’t find it on the board, I started looking for spotted animals. I was right, and instantly found HYENA, GIRAFFE, and CHEETAH on the letter grid. I was definitely on the right track and didn’t take me long to find LEOPARD in the top right corner.
Right in the middle, I uncovered SPOTTY as the Spangram. Running along the Spangram at the bottom, I found DALMATIAN. With that, just the last couple of letters were left to be solved. In those grids, I found LADYBUG. That concluded my Strands game for today!
