Today we’d like to introduce you to Simone Ganesh-Goode.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
My name is Simone Ganesh-Goode, Owner of GoodeLiving, Wife and Mother. A Guyanese immigrant who was brought here by my Grandfather with my mother and sister to have a life filled with opportunity, that I probably would not have had before. I grew up in East Orange, NJ, where I first met my wonderful husband, and St Peters University in Jersey City. I have over 20 years of experience helping others reach success and achieve their goals and a wealth of knowledge with a Formulation, Herbal & Holistic background. GoodeLiving originated as a personal journey with us trying to conceive. I had to incorporate my cultural background from Guyana with medicinal herbs and healing and his natural trade of being a Carpenter into allowing us to be able to successfully conceive in 2016 through Yoni Steaming on a handcrafted Yoni Steam Stool. From there GoodeLiving was born and we’ve been able to successfully help a multitude of women naturally conceive, became a #1 National Supplier of Yoni Steam Stools, sold over 400 Yoni Steam Stools, helped other women across the U.S. start their own business and our products can be found anywhere within the United States.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
There were many challenges along the way, beginning with still working a 9-5 and running a company. Our first year in business we made $1,300, that was the revenue for a whole year. Naturally a person would want to give up, but quitting isn’t an option for me. Our 2nd year was a great year and by year 3 we had our Stools and products in over 30 states and opened a Retail location and a Spa. We found our ideal place for our Bloomfield, NJ location at 321 Glenwood Ave. However, Bloomfield wasn’t your most diverse place for business owners that are men/women of color. We had to do some groundbreaking there, and boy did we! It took us fighting through tremendous red tape, not many people knew what Hydrotherapy was and you won’t find many herbal and holistic places in Bloomfield. Then the pandemic hit us and we saw so many businesses closing. We saw an opportunity to incorporate our Lifestyle brand to help the community on a herbal and holistic level and had a Grand Opening, in the middle of a Pandemic, to a line of people waiting outside. Now people can stop in to a Retail location, in addition to ordering online, and we offer wholesale to businesses across the U.S..
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
A former CEO from a previous Fortune 500 company I worked for always told me “When you’re Green you Grow and when you’re Ripe you Rot” and I use that to this day! You should always be in a position where you are learning, no matter if it’s personal, professional, or spiritual, because when you stop learning, that’s failure. So make those mistakes early on and always be green, that’s where success comes from. It’s not “found”, we all are making strategic plans and taking conscious steps towards it, whether it’s writing a meal plan, a vision board, reading a new self help book, taking a new class, thinking of a new business, writing a business plan, making the choice to Yoni Steam, or steps towards healing our inner selves in some way, it’s all new and a strategic and conscious step towards growth and in turn success!
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
Success to me Is not money, that’s always going to be there, right? Wealth and Abundance are already in me! The word success to me is already my mindset, because success IS a mindset! (Changing) our emotional and behavioral patterns that come out of our subconscious mind are instrumental to success. This is why we are successful with our clients and guest that come into GoodeLiving, it’s a Lifestyle and mindset shift and I am their accountability partner to ensure that we are all successful!
What’s next for you?
Well, at this time, GoodeLiving will be opening more locations that will be full service Lifestyle Spa’s and more Retail locations. We also have classes that are available to other business owner’s in the Herbal and/or Holistic industries. A division of our Lifestyle brand will be offering classes to help others scale their businesses to its full potential. The goal is to be a household name, while still providing a Sacred Space, that we’re known for, and that our clients will be able to have access to no matter where they are. Other businesses will be able to build their brands successfully because they’re buying GoodeLiving products that are proven, that are natural, that are organic and that are reliable.
