In line with the Cross River State Government’s commitment to ensuring robust health and safe environment in our communities, the Prestigious Tinapa Leo Club, Youth Affiliate of Tinapa Lions Club has organised a project on Genotype Testing for residents of Calabar Metropolis.
Speaking during the event, the President of Prestigious Tinapa Leo Club, Leo Victoria Kolawole said, “it is very important for one to know his or her genotype in order not to make mistakes in relationships or going for the wrong partner or rather make the children agonise” while they watch helplessly and live the rest of their lives in regret.
Kolawole who encouraged everyone to go for their genotype test pointed out that it has cost so many persons a lot, in terms of life and relationship which may bring in children that may suffer for eternity.
In an interview, one of the beneficiaries, Leo Victoria Friday said; “the project carried out by Prestigious Tinapa Leo Club is the best project I have encountered with this service year,” stating that it was a privilege for her to know her genotype which she has always wanted to know but has kept postponing for some reasons she could not understand.
She advised that it is necessary for everyone to know their genotype by going for a test in order to be aware of their genotype and avoid the challenges that come with relationships at the stage of getting married and discovering that their genotypes do not match.
Also in attendance were: the Leo Region 4 Director, Leo Archibong Eso LAH, 100%P; the Region 4 Secretary, Leo Bassey Asuquo; Chartered President of Prestigious Tinapa Leo Club, Leo Daisy Bassey MGA, 100%P; amongst others.
