…Assures on Professionalism

The Ministry of Urban Renewal and Development has stated its resolve to strengthen ties between the Ministry and the members of Nigerian Institute of Builders (NIOB).
The Commissioner for Urban Renewal Development,Hon Edward Emmanuel stated this when the Institute paid him a courtesy visit at the Ministry’s headquarters in Calabar.
Hon Edward,told members of Institute on the need for builders to be more creative and transparent in their dealings, noting that they are the tools that bring Building Engineers and Architects’ ideas to fruition.
“For it is knowledgeable to the Builders Forum that a profound relationship between both parties is a prerequisite for effective and judiciously organised environment for proper building, town Planning, Urban Renewal and societal infrastructural development”, Hon. Edward avered.
The Commissioner, also maintained that, the courtesy call which was timely, also served in solidarity, as an avenue for familiarization between principal officers of both forums.
In his response, the Director, Buildings, Ministry of Urban Renewal and Development, on behalf of the Nigerian Institute of Builders (NIOB), thanked the Commissioner for an all inclusive administration under his watch as the pilot helmsman of affairs of the Ministry and the warm reception accorded them.
The Director further 8nformed that, Builders Rally is coming up in March and in a bid to paint the memorable day in colours, the Commissioner is humbly invited, for his presence will be of great importance stressing that it is a call to his duty.
Hon. Edward in his closing remarks, assured the NIOB members of his pressenc at the rally as he urged members to enmass more in weight at the rally.
He also assured that, quacks that are rooted in the profession will be plucked out as illegality will not see the light of day under his reign.
The visit climaxed with prayers and exchange of pleasantries.
