Huawei has unveiled its latest foldable smartphone, the Huawei Nova Flip. This marks the company’s first entry into the compact flip foldable market. Known for its stylish devices, Huawei positions the phone as a fashion-forward choice. It is available in bold color options.

The Huawei Nova Flip is not just about looks. This foldable phone packs serious hardware. Its waterdrop hinge mechanism is a standout feature. Rigorously tested by SGS Switzerland, it can handle over a million folds. The Nova Flip is slim and light, measuring just 6.88mm when unfolded and weighing only 195 grams.
This new foldable phone boasts two stunning displays. A compact 2.14-inch OLED cover screen sits beside the dual cameras. Inside, users will find a larger 6.94-inch LTPO OLED main screen with FHD+ resolution and adaptive refresh rates of 1 to 120Hz. The cover screen is handy for selfies using the main camera and checking basic information like weather, music, and calendar.

The Huawei Nova Flip also features a capable camera system. Its main attraction is a 50MP camera with a large 1/1.56-inch RYYB sensor. This is paired with an 8MP ultrawide lens. For selfies, there’s a 32MP front camera.
While Huawei hasn’t officially revealed the chipset or RAM, Geekbench listing suggests the Nova Flip uses the Kirin 8000 processor. This chip also powers the Huawei Nova 12 and 12 Pro.
As for software, the phone runs on HarmonyOS 4.2, offering smart features like subject removal, text extraction from images, and image generation. Powering the device is a 4,400mAh battery with 66W fast charging.
The Nova Flip comes in four stylish colors: New Green, Sakura Pink, Zero White, and Starry Black. Pricing starts at CNY 5,288 ($744) for the 256GB model. For more storage, there’s a 512GB option at CNY 5,688 ($798), and a top-tier 1TB model for CNY 6,488 ($911). The Huawei Nova Flip will be available for purchase in China starting August 10.
