Before you begin fishing in the Fisch Ashfall event, you must remember that all the fish you catch during this event have a limited rarity. This means you can only catch them during the Volcano eruption. There are no season requirements for the limited-fishes. So, get ready to lock in without distractions.
There are 9 fishes in total in the Ashfall bestiary in Fisch. While all of them spawn only during the volcano eruption aka Ashfall, some of them require different weather types. The bestiary, as we have come to know, contains fish of different varieties. This means not all the fish here will have the same progress speed when catching them. How to Complete Ashfall Bestiary in Fisch
To catch all the fish from the Ashfall bestiary, you must know the right bait and weather for all. Once you have those in check from our table above, you will also need the best Fisch rods. Yes, if you are using one of the basic rods, the preferred baits will ruin their stats which can delay your chances of catching these fishes.
One of the best rods in Fisch is the No-Life Rod, which can be perfect for this event since any bait works fine with it. However, if you want to fast-forward your catching progress, get the Rod of the Depths, and for every three catches, you have a guaranteed extra catch. Ello, the Editor stepping in here; I just tried completing the Ashfall bestiary, and I have a quick tip. Use the Brick rod in Fisch, along with coal or a universal luck bait to beat the -90% progress slow of the Ashcloud Archerfish.
As for the baits, select the ones we have mentioned already. While you can always revisit our best Fisch enchants list for the ideal one for this event, I personally recommend Hasty. As the event is limited-time, you must complete the bestiary before it is over. Moreover, you also have a chance to get the Doomsday mutation in the Fisch Ashfall event. But to catch them, you will need better resilience.
If you want to confirm the catch on certain high-rarity fish, you will need specific weather. So, make sure you have weather-changing totems like the Windset, Smokescreen, or Tempest. By using these totems, you can increase your chances at specific fishes such as the Ashcloud Archerfish or Burnt Betta.
