Honor Integrates Deepseek On Its YOYO Assistant

When it comes to the technology industry, AI has quickly become the new thing in this range. Naturally, the smartphone makers found a way to bring this to the smartphone scene. It certainly was missing a “next big thing” to keep justifying evolution. Now, most OEMs are pushing smarter AI features on their software and on-device assistants. As competition heats up, DeepSeek is emerging as a key player. It will soon become the AI of choice for several smartphone brands. While companies like Apple and Samsung are refining their own AI solutions, DeepSeek is gaining traction by securing integration deals with some of the biggest names in the industry.

Deepseek Gets Support from Chinese Fellow Brands, Honor is the Latest to Integrate It On Its Software

Huawei was the first to announce DeepSeek support, integrating it into its cloud services to enhance AI-driven features. Now, Honor is taking things a step further by embedding DeepSeek directly into its YOYO smart assistant in China, making it a core part of its AI ecosystem. Meanwhile, Oppo also confirms that its upcoming Find N5 will ship with DeepSeek integration. So we will see a broader shift toward this AI model across different manufacturers. It’s interesting to see that Chinese brands, in particular, are showing support to their fellow AI companies. Meanwhile, Western companies are threatened by the rise of Deepseek.

For Honor users, the rollout of DeepSeek-R1 starts immediately for devices running MagicOS 8.0 and above. To activate it, users need to update YOYO to version 80.0.1.503 or later. From there, they can wake up the assistant, swipe up from the bottom of the screen, enter the “AI agent” section, and select DeepSeek-R1. With this upgrade, users can expect a more responsive and capable AI assistant, potentially rivaling other industry leaders.

As more smartphone brands look for ways to enhance AI experiences, DeepSeek’s rapid expansion suggests it could become a major force in the evolving AI assistant market. Whether it can challenge the dominance of Apple’s Siri, Google Assistant, or Samsung’s Bixby remains to be seen, but its growing adoption signals a shift in the industry’s AI landscape.
