The movies set the standard for several upcoming movies around magic, but no franchise could match the brilliance of Harry Potter. 1. Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter
The Boy Who Lived, aka Harry Potter, is the main character in J.K. Rowling’s magical universe. Out of a total of 11 movies in the Harry Potter universe, including 3 Fantastic Beasts movies, Harry appeared in eight of them. Daniel Radcliffe was just 12 years old when he appeared in the first Harry Potter movie. When the last movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, aired in 2011, Daniel was 22 years old.
Following the conclusion of Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliffe bagged several Broadway as well as film roles. Some of the notable projects he worked on include Swiss Army Man, The Lost City, and more. 9. Robbie Coltrane as Hagrid
Hagrid was one of the very first wizards we got to see in the first Harry Potter movie. The friendly character was the biggest guiding hand for Harry throughout his journey in the wizarding school. He remained a friend to the boy until the very end and became one of the most beloved characters among fans.
Robbie Coltrane, the legendary Scottish actor, portrayed Hagrid in the film series. The actor started his journey in 1980 in the Flash Gordon film. 13. Harry Melling as Dudley
Dudley is Harry Potter’s mean cousin and the spoiled son of the Dursleys, who never misses an opportunity to bully the weaker kids of his age. 14. Fiona Shaw as Petunia Dursley
Petunia was the wife of Vernon Dursley and the Muggle aunt of Harry Potter. She was the elder sister of Harry’s mother, Lily, who was a witch. Petunia grew envious of her little sister when the latter received a letter from Hogwarts while she was rejected by Albus Dumbledore. That’s why she never behaved properly with her orphaned nephew when he was taken into their home by Vernon.
Fiona Shaw is an Irish actress who has been active in the industry since 1983. Apart from Harry Potter, she has grabbed worldwide fans’ attention with her performances in The Good Person of Szechwan, RKO 281, Killing Eve, and more. Shaw’s upcoming films are Hot Milk (2025), Echo Valley (TBA), and Ladies First (TBA). 15. Richard Griffiths as Vernon Dursley

Grifth had a heart surgery, following which he developed some complications that became the cause of his death in 2013.
