GTA Online Nightclub Guide: Best Locations and How to Make Money

GTA Online Nightclub Guide: Best Locations and How to Make Money

Your life in GTA 5 can get tricky if you don’t have enough money ready in your wallet. There are several ways to make some bucks on GTA Online, but the Nightclub is one of the easiest. Introduced as a business in the After Hours DLC back in July 2018, the GTA nightclub is a money-making machine. It is one of the best ways to use your pre-existing business and fully create passive income. If you’re late to the party and want to begin, read on to our GTA 5 Online nightclub guide, which will explain how to begin right here.

One of the key reasons behind nightclubs being a popular business in GTA 5 is because of their solo-friendly nature. Yes, you can make passive income through this without needing any help from other players. So, without wasting any time, let’s begin.

How to Purchase a GTA 5 Nightclub

To begin your Nightclub journey in GTA 5 Online, you must chat with club scene legend Tony Prince. Press the T icon on your map to talk with him. Now, the location of the club is totally up to you. You can simply open a Foreclosure location and buy it.

To do so, go to your in-game smartphone or laptop and select the Maze Bank Foreclosures website. Now, select the Nightclubs filter from the top right corner. This will highlight the locations you can buy.

Best GTA 5 Nightclub Locations

As such, there are a total of 10 nightclubs in GTA Online. I suggest you avoid the locations near the docks as they have less activity happening around them. Downtown Vinewood Nightclub is one of the best places to pick.

Otherwise, if you have an Arcade with a Master Control Terminal, having a nightclub near that Arcade can be great for launching sell missions and selling the mission vehicle faster.

Although Downtown and West Vinewood Nightclubs are the best for anyone, they can get a little costly. So, if you are a beginner, I suggest you purchase Mission Row Nightclub to have some less dent on your wallet. This is also one of the best places for people who want good access to anything on the GTA Online map.

If you want to select for yourself, there are 10 Nightclubs to choose from. Here is the list of all the GTA 5 Nightclubs with their base price (prices are 50% less for GTA+ subscribers):

  • Del Perro Night: $1,645,000
  • Strawberry Nightclub: $1,525,000
  • Vespucci Canals Nightclub: $1,320,000
  • Mission Row Nightclub: $1,440,000
  • LSIA Nightclub: $1,135,000
  • La Mesa Nightclub: $1,500,000
  • Cypress Flats Nightclub: $1,370,000
  • Downtown Vinewood Nightclub: $1,670,000
  • West Vinewood Nightclub: $1,700,000

How Customize GTA 5 Nightclubs

While you are purchasing the Nightclub, you get the customization option that you can buy from the menu. Although all the upgrades available in the menu are for cosmetic value, there is one thing you must upgrade right away.

After upgrading the first three options, you will get the Storage option. Upgrade Storage for additional warehouse and garage space for $0-2,143,900. You can then upgrade it even further by adding seven extra floors. This will come in handy for making more money.

How to Setup Your GTA 5 Nightclub

Now, before you start setting up your Nightclub to make money, set a spawn point in your club so that things are a lot smoother if things go sideways. After that, you must complete three setup missions. To access the missions, use the computer in your main office. This will be located on the top floor behind the “VIP” door.

1. GTA 5 Nightclub Setup Mission Guide: Staff

Head Bartender Connie, Head Bouncer Marcel, and Warehouse Technician Yohan are three staff members you must gather first. To do so, you must go around the Los Santos map and find these three people.

Tony will ask you to drive his Schafter V12 to three specific destinations to pick them up. Once you find them, honk the horn and grab their attention. You can collect them all in one trip and bring them back to the property to complete your first setup mission for the GTA Online Nightclub.

2. GTA 5 Nightclub Setup Mission Guide: Equipment

For the equipment, you will need to find a Festival Bus. Go to the Ritual Sacrifice wind-down party in the Grand Senora Desert and steal the Festival Bus. Once you steal it, bring it back to your GTA Online Nightclub warehouse.

3. GTA 5 Nightclub Setup Mission: Resident DJs

To complete the GTA 5 Nightclub setup, you must finally recruit a Resident DJ. After the second setup mission, a cutscene will play, and you must go to Los Santos International Airport and pick up Solomun.

The Best GTA 5 Nightclub Upgrades to Buy

After this setup is done, your GTA nightclub is ready to use. With your Nightclub being fully operational, you must keep the following things in mind before you start upgrading:

  • Equipment Upgrade ($1,425,000): If you intend to utilize your existing businesses in conjunction with the Nightclub, it is essential to purchase the “Equipment” upgrade. Note that you are not required to purchase upgrades for each of your individual businesses. These businesses operate independently from the Nightclub Warehouse. The equipment upgrade will sweeten the efficiency of your warehouse technicians, resulting in a faster accumulation of Goods.
  • Staff Upgrade ($475,000): If you do not possess any other business ventures, it is recommended that you purchase exclusively the “Staff” Upgrade accessible within the “Upgrades” section. This is because your primary revenue stream will be derived from the Nightclub’s popularity in the absence of other businesses. This upgrade will mitigate the daily decline in the Nightclub’s popularity rating.
  • Security Upgrade ($695,000): The “Security” upgrade is not essential, but purchasing it can postpone potential raids on your Nightclub, which occur infrequently. This upgrade is recommended if you have surplus funds and wish to decrease the probability of your Nightclub being targeted by hostile forces.

How to Make Money GTA 5 Nightclub

Making money from the Nightclubs in GTA Online involves two major ways. Keep reading as we explain both the process in our detailed GTA 5 Nightclub moneymaking guide below:

1. GTA 5 Nightclub Popularity

If you open your nightclub computer, you will notice a purple bar at the bottom right of the screen. This is called the popularity meter. This is one of the most passive ways to generate income from your club. To increase popularity, you can try three methods:

  • Swapping DJs: One of the simplest ways to gain popularity is by changing the DJs. You can recruit more resident DJs like Dixon, Tale Of Us, and The Black Madonna. Recruiting them for the first time will cost $100k, but you will get instant maximum popularity. To change any of them later, you must pay $10k. Changing them will give you a 10% increase in popularity. With the “Staff” upgrade, Nightclub popularity decreases by 5% daily. At 90% popularity, changing the Resident DJ restores it to the maximum. Even at 95% popularity, you earn $50,000. This results in a $90,000 profit every two in-game days, or $56,250 per in-game hour.
  • Promotion Missions: To boost your Nightclub’s popularity, you can also initiate a promotion mission via the “Nightclub Management” menu or by contacting Tony. These missions have a 5-minute cooldown on them. Completing these missions increases popularity by 25% and awards a small cash bonus, typically between $1,000 and $5,000, depending on the mission’s duration. There are a total of seven missions you can automatically get to do:
    • Place posters: Distribute fly posters across the city.
    • Drop flyers: Disperse flyers via a Buzzard helicopter to designated map areas.
    • Deliver supplies: Retrieve a Mule and return it to the property within 15-20 minutes.
    • Recover supplies: Recover a stolen truck and safely return it to the business.
    • Smash developer vehicles: Damage-specific NPCs’ vehicles at four distinct locations.
    • Collect clubbers: Recruit customers from rival clubs throughout the city using a Schafter V12.
    • Play music from a blimp: Promote the Nightclub by broadcasting the DJ’s music via a blimp.
    • Destroy rival supplies: Destroy four Benson trucks within a 20-minute timeframe.
    • Eliminate drug operations: Eliminate a group of drug dealers.
    • Recover photographs: Break into a paparazzo’s apartment, eliminate the paparazzo, and return their camera to the property.
  • Marcel’s Security Job Requests: Another efficient way to make money in GTA 5 nightclub is by doing security job tasks. When you’re at the nightclub, eject a troublemaker or escort a VIP to complete these tasks. Both reward $10,000 and a 25% popularity boost. You can also do Nightclub tasks for English Dave and Lazlow Jone.

2. GTA 5 Nightclub Warehouse Management

The Nightclub computer’s home screen displays warehouse product levels. You can easily make money by managing the Warehouse and selling the goods. Go to the “Warehouse Management” section, where you will find seven types of goods if their corresponding businesses are owned, active, and online.

However, there are only five available technicians that you can purchase. Here is the list of all the types of goods with the ones we recommend for better profitability:

  • Cargo and shipments correspond to the Hangar or Special Cargo Warehouse. (Recommended)
  • Sporting Goods corresponds to Gunrunning Bunker. (Recommended)
  • Organic produce corresponds to Weed Farm
  • South American imports correspond to Cocaine Lockup. (Recommended)
  • Printing and copying correspond to the Document Forgery Office.
  • Pharmaceutical research corresponds to Meth lab. (Recommended)
  • Cash creation corresponds to Counterfeit Cash Factory. (Recommended)
  • Warehouse Management in GTA 5 Nightclub
  • Selling Goods option in GTA 5

Estimated Income GTA 5 Nightclub Guide

With all the tasks and warehouse managing, you must wonder how much you make passively. Well, here is a full estimated detail of the revenue you can earn from selling the goods or other activities in GTA 5 Nightclub:

Product/Activities Revenue (per hour) Profit (per hour)
Changing DJs $62,400 $56,200
Printing & Copying $5,350 $4,800
Organic Produce $6,010 $5,450
Pharmaceutical Research $11,450 $10,320
South American Imports $13,450 $12,100
Cash Creation $9,400 $8,500

Cargo and Shipments $8,550 $7,710

When to Sell GTA 5 Nightclub Stocks?

The production of Coke, Meth, and Cash within your Nightclub warehouse reaches its maximum after approximately 20 hours. Therefore, selling your accumulated stock around this time is generally the most efficient.

Remember that participation in Business Battles or completing special orders can influence this timeframe. Upon completing a sale, Tony will receive a 10% commission from your warehouse earnings, with a maximum deduction of $100,000.

You can assign your technicians to accrue other types of goods based on your strategic preferences. To facilitate product accrual while you’re away from active gameplay, you can simply remain idle at any of your CCTV cameras, whether at your businesses, properties, or the LS Car Meet. Importantly, you do not need to be registered as a CEO or Motorcycle Club President for your product to accumulate.

GTA 5 Nightclub Guide: Business Battles

If you are playing GTA Online in a PvP environment, you can initiate business battles to make money. All the CEO/VIP/MCP Nightclub owners can engage in free-mode events with a cooldown of 15 minutes. Doing these tasks on a competitive server will be hard and risky. That is why I suggest you play privately with your friends.

GTA 5 Nightclub Guide: Goods Missions

If you do not own a business, you can get goods for your Nightclub to sell later. To start the goods missions, call up Yohan and start a quick source mission. Yohan offers sourcing missions that require either stealing a truck or a crate. These missions take 3-5 minutes and reward $10,000 cash, plus $10,000-$20,000 in random products.

Please note that this sourcing mission has a 20-minute cooldown period before it can be initiated again. Once you secure the truck or crate, bring them back to the Nightclub warehouse to complete it.

Best Tips and Tricks for GTA 5 Nightclub Missions

However, these missions can get tricky if you don’t know how to swerve past the enemies. Here are some valuable tips you can follow to complete them:

  • For public session sales, use VIP/CEO status over MC President to utilize Ghost Organization, which hides your organization for three minutes. Activate it when encountering threats like jets or players using similar stealth tactics.
  • In case your vehicle gets destroyed, quickly close the game. While it takes a little time, you will only lose 10% of your goods in this way.
  • Always keep your sell vehicles upgraded to the max level. This will help you escort the goods way faster.
  • Prefer a more quiet lobby to do these sell missions. You would not want the hassle of chaotic enemies to make things harder for you. We suggest you avoid any of the best GTA 5 RP servers.
