Asus ROG smartphones have always stood out in the market. The flagship specs, paired with the right gaming features and proper optimization, make them a perfect pick for gamers. And now that the new Snapdragon chipset is out, it’s time for a new ROG phone. Well, the Asus ROG Phone 8 is on its way!
To be precise, Asus will announce the smartphone on January 8. Yes, Asus has officially disclosed it. The smartphone maker will be showcasing the device at CES in Las Vegas. Also, Asus said that the ROG Phone 8 is about to launch in China on January 16. We are yet to get details on the international release.

Asus hasn’t just announced its newest smartphone. Alongside that, it has officially given a first glimpse at the ROG Phone 8. As you can see from the video attached below, the device will feature a punch-hole camera on the first. Previous Asus ROG phones had large bezels on the top and bottom.

With the punch-hole in place, the phone is confirmed to come with much slimmer bezels than its predecessors. That means the ROG Phone 8 will be the first of the series to go all-in on an immersive gaming experience.
Besides that, Asus has shared a closer look at the back side of the Asus ROG Phone 8. As the image attached above shows, it will feature a pentagon-shaped camera cutout. This marks a departure from the standard-looking camera island found in past devices. And from another picture that Asus shared on its website (attached below), it’s confirmed that the device will be featuring a three-camera setup.
Asus ROG Phone 8 is also going through a blind camera test, which you can take part in. As it’s a blind test, Asus is not revealing which of the pictures were taken by the new phone.
