Arcane Co-Creator Breaks Silence on Future League of Legends Projects

The Arcane animated series ended this weekend and gave us the most satisfying and sentimental ending. While you might see Arcane as the end of Hextech, Vi, Jinx, Cait, Jayce, and Viktor’s story, what if I tell you that it’s not the end, in fact, the beginning of some more intense and beautiful things?

Recently, Arcane co-creator Christian Linke opened up about the future League of Legends projects on the Necrit94 Twitch channel. Before discussing future League of Legends projects, Linke talked about the ending of Arcane. He said that Arcane’s story will impact the plot of the upcoming projects as the stories will be connected.

Moreover, those involved in the Arcane production will play significant roles in the following projects. Moreover, if you think the Hextech’s lore is over with Arcane Season 2, you’re absolutely wrong. According to Linke, Hextech is still a part of the League of Legends lore, and we will see more weapons built using it in the other projects.

He also says that Heimerdinger, whom we see sacrificing his life for Ekko, isn’t dead, and he can come back to life in the LoL following projects (also because he’s a Yordle and gets respawned in Bandle City). Besides them, we will also see the return of several other characters we saw dying in Arcane, such as Jinx. He also stated that he wanted to bring Warvick aka Vander in the projects, but now that he is half human and half wolf, it wouldn’t be an easy task to repeat the entire process once again.

Linke assured us that Viktor would undoubtedly be back, as Arcane didn’t allow us to explore the character thoroughly. So, future projects will explore Viktor more deeply. Besides him, there were characters like Orianna, Janna, and Teemo who were introduced in Arcane, and we can expect to see them shine in the new projects.

In the end, Linke revealed that three League of Legends-based projects have already been in development for one year. While he doesn’t reveal many details about the projects, he does reveal that the shows will take place in Lonia, Demacia, and Noxus.
