Andre Onana was left out of Manchester United’s squad last night against Leicester in the League cup.
Ruud van Nistelrooy led the Red Devils to a 5-2 victory at Old Trafford in his first game as interim manager.
In Onana’s absence, Altay Bayindir started in between the sticks, while Tom Heaton was on the bench.
Van Nistelrooy granted his No 1 keeper a night off but his reaction to this spoke volumes.

Andre Onana insisted on training with his fellow goalkeepers during the pre-game warmups.
He arrived at the stadium as usual and stayed to watch his side’s dominant performance.
Despite starting every Premier League and European game for United this season, the Cameroonian showed his dedication to the team by showin up to help his colleagues.
He also played every single match for Erik ten Hag last season, bar a Fourth Round FA Cup game against Newport County.
United fans would hardly blame the 28-year-old if he decide to watch yesterday’s win from his TV at home, but this did not matter to Onana.

His hard work and desire to improve has certainly paid off this season, as he has managed the most clean sheets in the league with four.
He beats out some of the best keepers in the world, such as Alisson and David Raya with three each, as well as Ederson who has just two.
Onana should be back in goal for Van Nistelrooy’s first Premier League game against Chelsea on Sunday.
United have won just one of their last five league games and hope to turn their poor start to the season around after Ten Hag’s sacking.
