How Many Arcs Are in Hunter x Hunter?
Hunter x Hunter tells the tale of Gon who aims to become a hunter and go on an adventure to find his father. Over time, Gon’s expedition will unfold into a much grander ride with lots of engrossing characters and fascinating storylines.
The HxH manga began back in 1998 and is still ongoing to this day. Currently, the Hunter x Hunter series has a total of seven arcs and has over 400 chapters under its belt. It has some of the best arcs rivaling other series in Shonen history.
In case you aren’t aware, there are two different anime adaptations of Togashi’s manga series. The first anime adaptation was made in 1999 and adapted up to part of the Yorknew City arc, and then covered the remaining chapters along with the Greed Island arc as OVAs. This edition is known as the classic Hunter x Hunter anime among fans.

Which Arc Is Hunter x Hunter Manga Currently In?
As mentioned above, Yoshihiro Togashi is officially back and working on the new chapters of the Hunter x Hunter manga. After a long wait, new chapters of the HxH manga are being released in Weekly Shonen Jump.
The manga is currently in the Succession Contest arc, with chapter 402 being the latest chapter out at the time of writing this article. In this arc, Kurapika and Leorio are on a journey to the Dark Continent with Beyond Netero and Kakin princes while they duke it out with each other to assume the throne.
Where to Watch the Hunter x Hunter Anime?
If you want to get started with the old version of Hunter x Hunter (1999), you would have to get the DVD sets to begin your journey. It used to be available on YouTube for free before and it’s no longer available now and also in no other streaming platforms as well.
Instead, if you prefer to have a modern experience, you can stream the Hunter x Hunter (2011) on Crunchyroll, Netflix, Hulu, and Prime Video. But do keep in mind that the availability of all the episodes may vary from region to region.
