All Dead Rails Night Events: How to Survive Each Night

Besides the barren desert surrounding Dead Rails, there are many more terrors in store. A big problem in Dead Rails is nightfall, a phenomenon that brings a lot of dangers. Each night, there will be a specific indication, either from the moon or the sky, stating what kind of event is currently occurring on the server. These will test your survival skills regarding how well you can prepare yourself and take on the enemies coming after you. Want to know what all they are so you can survive them? Keep on reading to learn about all Dead Rails night events and how to win them all.

List of All Night Events in Dead Rails

In Dead Rails, the train that takes you to Mexico has a clock on the left side of the control panel. If you notice closely, you’ll know that the sun rises at 5 AM and the day starts at 6 AM, leading to the despawning of any enemies that appeared during the night.

Furthermore, you’ll notice that although daylight stays till 9 PM, night ultimately falls from 10 PM, and enemies start spawning an hour later. As the night falls, any one of the following events will occur at random:

1. Cloudy Night

During a cloudy night, the moon is not visible, and clouds start covering the whole sky. During this time, your train will be flooded with fast zombies with low health. However, do note that they are large in numbers. If you don’t move to a safe place quickly, these zombies might soon outnumber your team and result in an unexpected death.

Taking on the enemies during this time is not really difficult if you are well covered from all sides. Placing the thin newspapers to create an obstruction can help to keep the zombies at bay. Alternatively, you can climb on top of the train and pick them off one by one using your best guns.

2. Full Moon Night

The Full Moon night is one of the rarest and most dangerous night events in Dead Rails. This is because this event spawns Werewolves. These are fast-moving creatures and can hit like a truck. Their attacks reduce over 50% of your HP when you aren’t wearing any armor.

Due to their huge health bars and strength, it can be really hard to deal with these creatures even when your team has good gear. As such, I recommend that once you spot their red glowing eyes, run like hell and don’t look back. However, if you must engage, grab a powerful weapon like a Shotgun or a Rifle and shoot them off.

3. Blood Moon Night

The Blood Moon night in Dead Rails is unique in itself since the whole sky turns to a beautiful shade of crimson. However, don’t get lost looking at the pretty moon since Vampires will start spawning out of nowhere.

Vampires are some of the most annoying monsters in Dead Rails that randomly appear near you. Moreover, there’s a slight chance that killing them will randomly make their bodies disappear, and no corpse will be left behind to claim or use for fuel.

The best way to tackle these is to safely keep your train running and reach the next checkpoint. Otherwise, the Vampires can spawn near your train, easily climb up, and eradicate your team.

4. Stormy Night

The Stormy Night can be easily identified by the characteristic greenish tint all around the sky. This one might seem the safest night to stay out in Dead Rails; however, beware of the lightning strikes. Although no enemies will spawn during this night, the lightning strikes have a slight chance of hitting you and completely reducing your health.

Surviving this night is relatively easier if you find a place with a roof above your head. It might seem tempting to go outside for loot or do your general tasks, but you must have equipped a copper rod or be of the Priest class. Both can provide you with immunity from Lightning Strikes.

Finally, this is the only night when you can reload the Electrocutioner Gun, which will help with the Nikola Tesla boss in the end.

How to Survive Any Night in Dead Rails

The best way to survive any night in Dead Rails is to stay at the checkpoints that appear every 10,000 meters. This is because the automatic turrets will kill any enemies spawning during the night if they try to approach you inside this safe zone. However, you must note that the turrets have 75 bullets, which might be sufficient for a few hours rather than a single night.

Therefore, keep going towards the end, keep checking that you have sufficient fuel, upgrade the train’s barricade, and get enough ammo to last until the final safe zone.

Alternatively, if your fuel tank is empty, you can try heading inside a hut in an abandoned town and barricading it well enough not to let any monsters enter. This way, you can wait a night or two and gather up some corpses to help you reach the next safe zone.
