Daredevil Born Again is in full swing and it looks like Matt Murdock can’t catch a break with things going wrong one after another. Previously, we see Foggy Nelson get killed, then, even though he saved Hector from doing time in jail, it didn’t matter since Hector was killed by an unknown assailant. On top of all this, Fisk is now the mayor and does not see eye to eye with Matt. Now, with all of this, a new brutal villain, Muse, has made his presence felt in Daredevil Born Again episode 4 so let me tell you who this new villain is and as we see him in Marvel Comics.
Muse: Marvel Villain’s Role in Daredevil Born Again
In Daredevil Born Again episode 4, Muse’s presence is teased to us multiple times with graffiti seen on walls all over New York but in episode 4, we see him carrying an unconscious man in his arms across train tracks toward an abandoned tunnel. By the end of this episode, we see that Muse is siphoning blood from the man we previously saw.
This might just be the most brutal debut an MCU villain has ever received. However, Muse’s motivations have not yet been revealed to us and it seems as if we will have to wait for a couple of episodes to find out what he wants.
Who Is Muse in Marvel Comics?
In Marvel Comics, Muse remains a mysterious character whose identity was never fully revealed to us. In the comics, Muse used to create gory and brutal artwork across New York. According to the source material, Muse creates artwork using dead bodies and blood to send a message to vigilantes like Daredevil.
Even though his first art piece was created using dead bodies in the comics, since we see him siphoning blood in Daredevil Born Again Episode 4, we might probably see his first work being made out of human blood used as ink.
In Marvel comics, Muse was active even before Fisk became the Mayor, and canonically, was put behind bars before Fisk became the mayor, so, the story has been changed a bit, and considering how well the show has been going on, it seems to be done for the best.
