The Electric State has finally arrived on Netflix, and it has introduced fans to a world where humans and robots co-exist. This Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt-starrer film features many characters to adore, and one such figure is Herman. Who Is Herman in The Electric State?
Herman is the robotic sidekick of Keats (Chris Pratt), who never fails to support him, even in deadly battles. He entered the picture when a client pointed a gun at Keats, and Herman was left with no option but to shoot down the man’s drone. The robot was then seen joining forces with Michelle (Millie Bobbie Brown) and her robotic friend, Cosmo when Keats decided to help the young girl uncover the mystery around her brother’s disappearance.
When Marshall’s drone nearly gets its hands on Cosmo, it is Herman who protects the bot. Herman has different-sized bodies for different jobs, and we learn that when he decides to use the gigantic form before heading to meet Dr. Amherst.
Later, once Michelle and Keats successfully reach the headquarters of the Sentre, Herman starts throwing cars at the building. Herm plays a huge role in the war against Skate’s drones.

Out of curiosity, when Michelle asks Keats about his first encounter with Herman, the latter reveals that he crossed paths with Herman during the war. He says the bots broke his legs, and that’s when he saw the giant Herman. He thought that the bot would kill him, but instead he picked Keats up and carried him out of the war.
After a few days, when the Sentre guys found Keats and Herman, they tried to kill them both, and they had to run. Ever since, they have been bonded together and formed an alliance for life.
Does Herman Die in The Electric State?
Keats and Herman play pivotal roles in the showdown with the Sentre’s drones. Having Mr. Peanut and the other robots by their side, the duo tries harder to make things easier for Michelle. While the doctor’s PC takes the girl to the room where Chris has been captured, Keats and Seatle face the tin men.
After getting gravely injured, Keats falls to the ground, and when Stake, in his drone form, is about to open fire on him, Herman takes all the damage to protect his human friend. Initially, it appears that Herman is dead. But when Michelle turns off the switches of Christopher’s life support and the drones stop functioning, Herman’s tiny 8-inch body shows up. So, no, Herman doesn’t die in the Electric State.
