YouTuber Slim Albaher forced to pull out of TikTok boxing event due to a detached retina and alleges he was attacked by his opponent and an MMA fighter

It seems the TikTok boxing event scheduled for July 16 has spilled over to the streets, as one undercard fighter has been forced to pull out due to injury.

The press conference for the event, which is being promoted by KingPyn Boxing, took place last week and it descended into utter chaos and it appears that mayhem continued after.

The card is being headlined by Ed Matthews vs Simple Simon and on the undercard Slim Albaher was scheduled to fight Ryan Taylor, who was disqualified from his last bout due to multiple headbutts.

While the pair exchanged insults during the press conference and there was a huge amount of tension, both men managed to walk away unscathed.

This was until shortly after, when Albaher posted on Twitter: “I was jumped in London by Opponent and his Bellator fighter friend.

“I unfortunately am not able to compete on July 16th because I have a retinal detachment which mostly requires surgery to prevent blindness. Alhamdulilah tho it could of been worst.”

Albaher followed up with an 18-minute YouTube video explaining the whole incident with footage of Taylor and his trainer, a Bellator MMA fighter, attacking him immediately after the press conference.

The actual punch that Albaher claimed caused his retinal detachment cannot be seen in the video, but there is footage of Taylor pushing the American and gripping him in a headlock.

At the press conference last week, insults were traded, punches were thrown and ‘gifts’ were given.

But the incidents just increased the animosity between most of the competitors and with one month to go it could get even more heated.
