In celebrating teachers in the state, the Cross River Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon. Barr Ijom Ukam has extended his appreciation to teachers for what he described as their positive influence on the society, stating that their efforts as teachers go beyond the four walls of the classroom.
Ukam whose goodwill message to teachers as they celebrate World Teachers Day went viral on social media, further acknowledge their unwavering support in inculcating value and character in the future leaders.
“I am aware of the critical roles teachers play in empowering our youths. Your role is not confined to the classroom, you are mentors, role models and pillars of support for our students”. He said.
While pledging to support the cause of education and youth development in Cross River State to make the future of the youth bright, the legal luminary turned politician averred that, through dedication, teachers have built a more robust, enlightened, compassionate and prosperous society.
