At least for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is somehow over seven years old already as the latest entry in the franchise, but fans have something else on the classics side of the franchise to dive back into now.
Although the Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection already released digitally, the countdown timer is starting to run low on the physical edition’s launch of the new MvC compilation and how long there is left to get try getting in on the pre-order goodies.
As was announced earlier this year, the Marvel Fighting Collection is set to release in retail stores on Friday, November 22, 2024, which gives you only around 11 or 12 days left to pre-order at the time of reporting for $50 USD.
That is for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions of the game since Steam is all digital, and the Xbox version wasn’t announced until afterwards with a 2025 launch window — and may or may not get a physical release.
It is also important to point out that the Switch copy of MvC does come on a cartridge in North America, but it appears as though Capcom is only offering the collection as a code in a box for Nintendo users in Europe for some reason.
Those who pre-order the Marvel Fighting Collection can receive an exclusive 32-page Marvel vs. Capcom comic book.

There’s not much else revealed on the details about what’s in the comic, but we do know the cover art was done by Marvel’s Todd Nauck.
As of the time of reporting, Walmart, GameStop, Amazon and Best Buy all still list the comic book as pre-order bonuses for the collection in the United States.
Since they are labeled as “while supplies last,” however, you may want to contact your retailer of preference to make sure the book is still being offered before purchasing.
Those outside of the U.S. will also need to check in with their retailers to see if the comic is available in your particular region.
And if you already bought the collection or can’t get the physical copy, fret not because there’s going to be another way to get your hands on some official Marvel vs. Capcom items soon.
Marvel is launching 11 Marvel vs. Capcom 2 cover art variants of their books releasing in December 2024 too.
The Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection features seven arcade classic games from X-Men: Children of the Atom through MvC2 as well as The Punisher all in one package with extra features and options.
While the MvC Collection does include rollback netcode on all games, cross-platform play is not featured, so you’ll have to take that into account when picking up a copy too.
The physical version of MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics releases in 2 weeks on November 22 for Nintendo Switch and PS4!
