Yoshimitsu's Tekken 8 gameplay trailer revealed

Yoshimitsu’s gameplay trailer for Tekken 8 has been released. Though Yoshimitsu has already been revealed alongside the rest of the Tekken 8 base roster, this is a first real glimpse at Yoshimitsu’s gameplay.

This is a fighter that’s had a long history with the Tekken (and Soulcalibur) series as Yoshimitsu made his first appearance in the very first Tekken game and has returned for every game after that. As tradition would have it, Yoshimitsu looks radically different with every entry in the Tekken series.

Like always, Yoshimitsu is a particularly unorthodox fighter that excels at mixing opponents up. Additionally, wielding a sword gives Yoshimitsu a little extra range with a number of his attacks.

However, it should be noted that his sword isn’t just for slicing through opponents. By crouching and spinning the sword above his head, he can temporarily use the sword as though it were a helicopter’s rotor blade, allowing him to elude low-hitting attacks.

As expected, Yoshimitsu also has the ability to adopt a sitting stance that causes high-hitting moves to miss him. Due to all of this, Yoshimitsu is typically known to be one of the more slippery characters throughout the Tekken series.
