May 19, 2024 MANHATTAN, New York – In the latest transit related attack, one woman was left injured after being knifed in a Lower East Side subway station early Sunday morning, cops said.
Police officers from Transit District 4 responded around 4:00 am, to a 911 call reporting a woman found slashed at the Essex-Delancey St. Station J, M, Z line in NYC.
The 36-year-old victim was hospitalized with a laceration on her left leg, at Bellevue and last listed in stable condition, cops said.
Detectives are working to determine the moments that led up to the attack as the investigation is ongoing.
No arrests at this time, police are searching for a Hispanic male in his 40s who fled on a Brooklyn bound J Train.
