With M. Bison already available, Terry Bogard is slated to be the next DLC character for Street Fighter 6 via the Year 2 Character Pass. We’re expecting to see a demo of Terry Bogard’s gameplay in Street Fighter 6 sometime this month.
Many are already speculating what Terry could be bringing to the world of Street Fighter. However, in a recent video upload, Cruhstin has outlined why Terry being just another character utilizing Street Fighter 6’s core mechanics (mostly revolving around the Drive Gauge) as being the most likely scenario.
Of course, it’s expected that the guest character will still have access to his iconic moves. This means that he’ll probably use Burn Knuckle, Power Wave, Rising Tackle, Power Dunk, and Crack Shoot as his special moves.
Cruhstin notes that there are a number of signs that Terry will be pulling his move pool from Fatal Fury rather than the King of Fighters series. In general, there’s been a big push to promote Fatal Fury recently due to the upcoming Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves title that SNK is currently working on.
Additionally, Cruhstin examines how Tekken characters were implemented in Street Fighter X Tekken. Rather than giving Tekken reps their normal inputs for moves, they were instead given quarter-circle motions just like the Street Fighter cast.
Finally, it’s believed that Terry will actually be a six-button character despite coming from a four-button fighting game series. Just like with the rest of the Street Fighter 6 roster, Terry will use command inputs instead of close proximity normals.
