Manchester United have closed their door on this January’s transfer market, content with their business throughout the winter transfer window.
The Red Devils have secured the signings of Patrick Dorgu and Ayden Heaven this January, with Diego Leon’s pre-contract signed off ready to join the club in the summer.
The defensive trio shows Ruben Amorim’s drive to solidify his back line, with the club having suffered significantly with injuries to the left-back role for over a year.
Now with Dorgu and Leon covering that position, and Heaven being an incredibly promising centre-back, United’s defence should be covered for the next few years.
However, one position they’ve failed to recruit to which was a priority signing at the start of the month, was up front.
With Marcus Rashford now on loan at Aston Villa and deals collapsing for Mathys Tel and Christopher Nkunku, even more pressure is on Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee who are already struggling to find the back of the net.
However The Daily Mail has reported that United are happy with their transfer business, or lack their of with having not signed a striker.

Manchester United are happy having not signed a striker in January
The report explains that United were not prepared to be reckless by taking expensive risks in signing or loaning Tel or Nkunku with the pair being unproven.
The Red Devils were also uninterested in agreeing to loan deals, not wanting to be developing players for other clubs.
With United facing significant financial pressures, the club have to be more stringent in their spending.
In line with this, the club also feel their lack of spending this month provides with with more options to sign players in the summer that are more in keeping with their long-term plans.
