Manchester United team news were just released and for the first time in his career United skipper Bruno Fernandes misses a game due to injury.

He has somehow always managed to find a way to be fit all through his career even playing through injuries time and time again like recently when he has been playing with a broken arm.

Out of a possible 243 matches for Manchester United, the Portuguese magnifico has only missed 13 games: 4 out via suspension, rested for 4 games, was an unused substitute for 3 matches and misssed one via illness.

Bruno picked up an issue in last week’s draw with Burnley and did not manage to recover in time as United manager Erik ten Hag confirmed in his pre match press conference.

“After the [Burnley] game, we had an issue with Bruno. He is a doubt for Monday. We all know Bruno, never rule him out for any game, he will do his best to be available,” ten Hag told reporters.

His astonishing availability comes to and end as he missed a match for the first time via an injury.

It is the latest injury blow to ten Hag’s squad in what has been an injury riddled season for The Reds.

This season has seen 64 separate cases of injury or illness that have caused a senior player to miss a competitive match during the campaign.
