Season 2 of MultiVersus is in full swing now as the developers at Player First Games have rolled out a big new patch filled with balance adjustments and a fresh roster addition in Samurai Jack, and that means it’s time for updated tier lists.
GSM|VoiD, a competitor who has seen tons of success in the platform fighter scene as a professional Super Smash Bros. player and winner of MultiVersus at Evo, has rolled out a new tier list for MultiVersus Season 2.
VoiD has a whopping eight different tiers for the 28 characters that currently make up MultiVersus’ roster. Three of these tiers are occupied by just one character, but that goes to show the level of precision VoiD is trying to get at here, as for various reasons, each of these individuals is set apart from the rest of the cast.
The character surrounded by the most drama since MultiVersus saw its grand re-release a few months back has to be Iron Giant. The towering fighter was quickly found to be massively overpowered, even to the point that he was removed from the game entirely for a time because his abilities too greatly detracted from the intended MV experience.
Giant has taken more than a few nerfs over the last few patches, but is still among the best in VoiD’s opinion. That said, Iron Giant is not the number one character in the game according to the seasoned player, who feels that there’s another who is “so uncontested” she belongs in a tier of her own above everyone else.
