The 2XKO Alpha Lab test has been roaring along for over a week now and that means many players have been reasonably acquainted with the six roster members available in this early build of the game.
One such player is JM Crofts, who has boldly put together a tier list to share with the rest of us which champions he thinks are the best and the worst in 2XKO right now.
Riot’s upcoming fighting game is set in a 2v2 format, of course, so that means each champ has two distinct identities as both a main and assist character. Crofts factors in potency on both fronts for all six, including Braum, Ahri, Darius, Ekko, Yasuo, and Illaoi.
With so few fighters in the game, Crofts’ list isn’t all that long. He divides the cast across three separate tiers (S, A, and B) with two in the top, three in the mid, and just one amid the lowest tier.
This early lab test does give us an idea of 2XKO’s feel and flow, but the meta could and likely will change substantially between now and its unrevealed released date. As things stand at the moment, Illaoi might be the worst of the bunch.
Perhaps the coolest thing about her, her ability to summon a giant Kraken tentacle, is also that which holds Illaoi back, according to Crofts. As is often the case with “2-step” characters, the burden of having to set up your damage before you actually enact it can quickly make you less effective than your roster mates.
There’s a lot more to the picture as the content creator goes into detail about Illaoi and the other five characters.
