Thursday’s GT character trailer unveiled a ton of additional roster members for the upcoming Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, bringing the total revealed character count to 154.
Developers have been giving us glimpses of the roster at the end of each trailer as a massive hexagonal arrangement fills in a bit more each time we see it, and now only 10 spots remain. We’ve snapped an image of the nearly completed picture so you can see all the revealed faces and ponder along with us who the final reveals might be.
A 164 launch roster seems absolutely bonkers for most games, but not so much for Dragon Ball as the long running franchise has always boasted high character counts across its many video game entries. The fact that many fighters have various forms, and that some mainstays like Goku and Vegeta can easily have more than 10 not counting fusions, is what allows for such an inflated character select.
This leaves us pondering which figures from the franchise will occupy the final spots, which actually feels like a bit of a tall order as it feels like most of the iconic characters and their variations are already accounted for.
Our best guesses right now are Super 17, Ultra Ego Vegeta, Frost, Cabba, and maybe some characters from standalone films such as Garlic Jr. and Turles, and developers could also be aiming at older Dragon Ball sagas.
Will these final 10 be themed together in some way? Are there any characters left to serve as DLC (there absolutely are) once Sparking Zero actually comes out?
