Whether it's Cammy in a green leotard or Zero Suit Samus in a skintight suit, Holly Wolf's cosplays are something to behold

We recently found out about Holly Wolf’s cosplays of Cammy White from the Street Fighter series and Samus Aran from the Metroid series. Needless to say, she’s able to boldly depict Cammy in her classic green leotard and Zero Suit Samus in her skintight suit.

Holly Wolf’s portrayal of Cammy is based on the character’s appearance in Street Fighter 2 and Street Fighter 4. Although Cammy looks similar in Street Fighter 5, there are some key differences that can help fans tell which version of Cammy is being depicted in Holly Wolf’s cosplays.

For starters, the presence of green camouflaged can be observed on Holly Wolf’s legs. While this paint is present in Cammy’s Street Fighter 2 and Street Fighter 4 designs, it’s notably absent in her Street Fighter 5 iteration.

Additionally, the SF5 version of Cammy has a gun holster wrapped around her thigh. More gun holsters are strapped around Cammy’s green leotard as well.

Funnily enough, however, Cammy never actually uses firearms during the events of SF5’s story or gameplay. Due to this, all of these gun holsters and straps end up being purely aesthetic.

Regardless, Cammy still dons a green leotard, red beret, red gauntlets, and black boots in both versions of the costume. As such, Cammy’s appearance is drastically different in the Street Fighter Alpha series and Street Fighter 6.

Cammy made her debut video game appearance in Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers alongside Fei Long, T. Hawk, and Dee Jay back in September 1993. During the events of Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers, Cammy is described as 19-year-old female who has a mysterious past connected to M. Bison. This is one of the rare times in which a character’s age is outright stated in the Street Fighter series.

Of the characters that first became playable in The New Challengers, Cammy has become the most popular of the bunch and has appeared in the launch rosters for Street Fighter 4, Street Fighter 5, and Street Fighter 6. In fact, Cammy was the only one among these four to be playable in Street Fighter 5 throughout that game’s entire lifespan. It’s actually quite a notable thing how Dee Jay is returning in Street Fighter 6.

As mentioned before, Holly Wolf also has shots of her Zero Suit Samus cosplay present on her Instagram page. It’s worth noting that the Jet Boots from the Super Smash Bros. series are missing from Holly Wolf’s cosplay, but we imagine it’d be pretty difficult to get up from Holly Wolf’s crouched positions with some of these shots if she were wearing the Jet Boots due to how they’re shaped like high heels.

Still, it can be observed that Holly Wolf is holding the Paralyzer, the weapon that Zero Suit Samus is probably most known for. In the Super Smash Bros. series specifically, this weapon can also be transformed into a Plasma Whip which greatly extends Zero Suit Samus’ reach during gameplay.

While Power Suit Samus is canonically stronger than Zero Suit Samus, the unarmored version of Samus has traditionally been the better of the two in all Super Smash Bros. entries where both versions of Samus are playable. Zero Suit Samus first became playable in the Super Smash Bros. series with Super Smash Bros. Brawl as it was released back in 2008, but her debut playable appearance in video games came with Metroid: Zero Mission when it was released back in 2004.
